"I'm so sorry."

Luna sighed at Aubrey, her expression emotionless as she listened to the redhead. She offered a tight-lipped smile, shrugging her shoulders as she looked at the girl.

"What?" Luna pretended not to know what the girl was apologizing for. It honestly wasn't a big deal to the brunette, and it didn't seem like something that was worth talking about.

There was only about 5 more minutes until the bell would ring to go to class, and it was just far too early to deal with something that wasn't even relevant this early in the morning.

"For completely ditching you at the party." Aubrey pouted. "Liz was freaking out because some guys broke her mom's good china and she was making me help her try and fix it. She wouldn't let me leave and-"

"Aubrey," Luna spoke, interrupting the girl's rambling. "It's fine, really."

"But I'm the one who was supposed to make sure you had a good time, and that didn't get to happen because some guys wanted to be idiots and ruin my night." The redhead complained, crossing her arms. "And by the time I went looking for you, you were no where to be found."

Luna simply shrugged. "Don't worry about it."

Aubrey sighed. "I promise it won't happen again. I just felt bad for Liz since the china was really important to her mom, and with everything still going on with her dad I just thought-"

"You're overthinking it." Luna interrupted again. "I said it was fine." She wanted to laugh at Aubrey's rambling, knowing that it was a habit of the redhead's whenever she felt guilty.

"Well just know that I'm sorry." Aubrey smiled, earning one from Luna as well. "And how did you get home that night anyways?"

Luna didn't want to tell Aubrey about seeing Peter at Liz'a party, and that he was basically her knight in shining armor when he helped her get home, solely because the redhead would not shut up about it if she knew. So, Luna decided to wait on it.

"Train." She responded.

She fought the urge to smile, thoughts of Peter swarming her mind as she remembered how genuine he was being with her. In a way, Luna was glad that she went to that party, the reason being that she got to fix everything with Peter. Even though Luna still didn't know how to open up to him, she was glad that he was willing to be patient with her.

Now that Peter knew that Rick wasn't going to be a problem anymore, there was a chance that the two could finally be able to become closer as friends and potentially something more if he ever got the guts to spill his feelings to the girl.

But who knows when that would happen.

Luna went on with her normal school day, the classes going by slow as usual. All she wanted to do was find the one person who made her life just a little bit easier.
