Throughout the course of the week, Luna found herself becoming closer and closer to Peter Parker. It was the strangest thing to her, never believing that something like this would occur. The last thing she thought would happen was becoming friends with the boy, but it pretty much happened naturally. Luna found herself looking for Peter everyday when she walked into school, just simply wanting to talk to him.

Peter didn't want Luna to feel suffocated by him, especially since the two hardly knew each other, but he noticed how Luna was slowly making progress. She didn't look scared or uncomfortable every time he walked up to her. It was definitely getting better. However, Luna Pearce was still the same. She was still shy and very quiet around him, but he didn't pry. She would talk to Peter, but was still very closed off. It took Peter a lot to get the girl to fully become comfortable around him, and he was still working on it.

Luna wasn't aware on how much Peter noticed how tired and scared she always looked. It made the boy want to figure out what the hell was going on with her, but he couldn't do that without flat out asking her. However, he decided against it. Luna obviously didn't trust Peter enough to open up to him, but he was glad that she was starting to come around, even if it was just a little bit. Luna went through hell at home and she felt as if her life couldn't get any more miserable, but Peter made her days slightly better. She enjoyed being around him, but she just didn't show it. It took the girl a long time to finally realize that all Peter wanted to do was be her friend. He didn't feel pity, and she was grateful.

It had been a few days since Luna returned to school, and she only found herself talking to Peter Parker every single day whether if it was in the hallways or in their English class. The two turned in their project a couple days early, Peter having no problem giving Luna credit. The girl felt awful for letting him do it, but Peter insisted. Luna felt warm just being around Peter these last couple days and the reasoning behind it was unknown to her. She was growing close to the boy and she didn't know how to feel about it.

Luna shut her locker, adjusting her bag on her shoulders and not realizing that there was a presence standing behind her.

"Hey."

The girl couldn't help but smile just a bit at the sound of his voice. Even after everything she has been going through with Rick, she didn't realize that this boy made her feel slightly better about everything.

Luna turned around, shyly slipping a strand of her brown hair behind her ear. "Hi." She muttered.

Peter grinned, noticing her shy smile. He couldn't help but think of how cute she looked. "Ready for another long day?" He asked the girl.

"Not really." She sighed, dreading the long day that she was bound to have.

Peter didn't fail to notice the small purple bruise under Luna's ear as she brushed her hair back with her fingers. The boy felt sick knowing that Luna was getting hurt in a way that he didn't even know about.
