Luna sighed as she watched the trees blow, the wind sending shivers down her spine and creating goosebumps up and down her arms. She pulled her beanie tighter around her ears, attempting to create warmth around her body.

The girl was listening to Aubrey chatter on about random things, nothing of which Luna cared about.

It was early in the morning, and the two girls were sitting at their usual bench before the school day would officially start.

Luna Pearce did absolutely nothing throughout the entire weekend. The days just consisted of her staying huddled in her room with nothing but her thoughts to keep her entertained. Even if she felt a little dramatic, the girl couldn't help but feel a little embarrassed to go out in public. She was too afraid to run into Peter, knowing full well that they would see each other. New York was a big city, but the two seemed to always find a way to one another.

Like always, Luna found herself to be a little doubtful. She didn't understand the particular event that occurred on Friday night, so she did what she always did. She shoved it into the back of her mind and chose not to do anything about it.

However, that didn't stop her from feeling overwhelmingly nervous as she thought about seeing Peter during school, especially during lunch. She was feeling stressed out, and she couldn't seem to stop replaying the romantic moment her and Peter shared in her head.

"My hair is such a mess today." Aubrey whined, attempting to clip her long red locks in a ponytail. "Like seriously, what was I thinking trying out that new conditioner?"

"Mmhm.." Luna muttered, not really paying attention to what was being said.

Aubrey raised an eyebrow as she turned to look at Luna, only to see that she was completely spaced out. "Are you listening to me?" She asked, not receiving a response from the brunette.

Aubrey sighed, annoyed with her friend. "And it's noticeably uneven too, especially after I was dragged by a viscous dog around the entire city." The redhead lied, looking at Luna as she searched for any sort of reaction. "He dragged me so hard by my hair that most of it just flew right off."

Luna continued to stare at her hands, showing no ounce of interest. "Uh-huh."

Aubrey frowned, scoffing as she turned to face the girl. "Okay, what is with you?" She crossed her arms.

The brunette picked her head up, her thoughts finally being pushed aside for a moment. "What?"

"You are completely zoned out." Aubrey told her. "I'm trying to have a conversation here which seems to be totally irreverent to you."
