2 - Ask Ate Althea

Laura and Victor make sure to spend more time with their children every weekends. They take turns to assist them on their stuff for the day.

After an early breakfast, the whole family leaves for Vino's soccer game.

"Mommy, when can I play soccer like Kuya Vino?" Nathan asked while they are in the car going to Vino's game.

"Do you want to play soccer too my dear?" Laura ask sweetly and Nathan nodded.

"We will work on that buddy, would you like us to enroll you for a soccer training after the school ends?" Victor asked

"Yes ... yes" Nathan excitedly replied

"Oo nga pala, malapit nang mag-end ang school year. What's the plan for summer Daddy?" Lauren asked.

"What do you have in mind baby?" Victor asked

"I want to go back to Italy, Sicily in particular." Lauren replied which makes Laura and Victor look at each other and smile.

"Again?" Vino reacted. "Can we go somewhere else, we went to Sicily last year Daddy." he added

"What's wrong if we go back in Sicily, that is where Nonno's relatives lives. Also, I want to visit grandma Lorena. I missed her" Lauren said.

"Let's go to Disneyland Daddy" Carrie then butts in

"Hindi ka pa ba nagsasawa sa Disneyland Carrie? Parang every year na lang pumupunta tayo sa iba-ibang Disneyland" Vino again reacted.

"In that case, is there a place that you have in mind my dear brother?" Althea asked

"Home." Vino casually said. "I want to stay home this summer break" he said

"Ok Kuya, maiwan ka na lang. We will just bring pasalubong for you" Lauren said

"But isn't it that it is my turn to choose which place to go this summer vacation?" Vino said

"Kids, more than two months pa naman before the summer vacation, pwede bang pag-usapan muna namin ni Daddy ang plan para dyan?" Laura asked. "I know that it is your turn to choose, but we will talk about that staying home this summer break Kuya Vino" she added.

"Ok po Mommy" Vino replied and his siblings immediately follow.

Victor and Laura let their kids to voice out their opinion about a certain issue but they are not allowed to insist. Daddy Victor and Mommy Laura always has the last say. And when Daddy and Mommy are not around, Ate Althea is next in command.

"In the meantime, where do you want to have lunch after Kuya's soccer game?" Victor asked

"Pasta ... pasta ... pasta" the children simultaneously chant.

"At least, may napapagkasunduan sila" Laura commented laughing.

The heat of the sun does not stop the family to cheer for their favorite soccer player. Victor and Laura know that Vino is in his element every time he is in the soccer field. They are aware how this sport brings out the best of their eldest son and for Laura this warrants Vino's disinterest in joining the essay writing contest.

Vincent Lorenzo is not like his Ate. Althea Marie is not afraid to try different stuffs. She obviously get it from her biological father Daniel. Between the Monteiro brothers, Daniel is the aggressive one while Victor is more of a conservative type. And, Althea has those traits of the Monteiro brothers. She is brave to try things that is new to her and carefully devotes on things that interest her.
