On her way home, Althea thought of what happen earlier. She admits she could not feel Marga’s sincerity in her apology, but she has to give them the benefit of the doubt. In her heart, it will be Marga’s lost and not hers if ever she is not sincere with her apology.
Althea accepted the apology because she would like to end the issue about Thirdy and her staying in garden alone, while everyone is enjoying Eloisa’s party. “Flirty Brat” that was what Eloisa’s friends call her. She knows the accusation is not true so she prefers to be mum about it since most people in their school believes otherwise, though she admit being hurt about the rumour.
She blew a huge sigh when her phone vibrates for a notification on one of her social media accounts. Marga tagged her in her latest post, taking back all the nasty things they said about her plus a public apology. “Perhaps she is sincere.” she told herself. She then hits the like button as a sign of accepting the apology and end the issue once and for all.
She is also aware about the motives of Marga and her friends why they created the issue. It was not simply about Thirdy’s rejection to Eloisa’s request but about the latters special feelings for Thirdy. Another reason why she prefers not to make the issue a big deal is the Thirdy’s way of protecting her. In fact, as soon as her Dad allows her to accept suitors and Thirdy still likes her, without a doubt, she will definitely choose him.
Laura is playing with Nathan at the garden when Althea arrived home. This kind of sight wipes aways all worries and issues she has at school. Her Mommy Laura’s happiness is contagious. Every time she sees her laughs even at the corniest joke of her Daddy Victor, she sees contentment in this lady. She loves her Mama Allie, but she wants to be like her Mommy Laura. A woman of power and yet heartwarming. Her Mommy Laura may not be her biological mother but she loves her as much as she loves her Mama Allie. Two beautiful ladies that she will continue to adore and look-up to for the rest of her life.
“Ate!” Nathan screams her name when he sees her stepped out of the car.
“Don’t run, Nathan. Baka madapa ka.” She said.
Nathan immediately hugs her as soon as he reaches her “I missed you, Ate” he sweetly said.
“Ohh that is so sweet, Nathan. I have a surprise for you.” She said and she smiles as she sees excitement in Nathan’s eyes. She immediate take out a several coloring patterns from her bag “We have new coloring books to work on.” She said and gave her gift the Nathan.
“Look, Mommy I have new coloring books.” Nathan exclaimed while he runs to Laura to show Althea’s gift for him.
“I did not hear you thanking Ate Althea.” Laura told Nathan.
“Thank you, Ate.” Nathan said while he runs to Althea for a thank you kiss.
“Ang sarap naman ng kiss na yun.” Althea said. “You have to thank Kuya Thirdy also, he was the one who print those patterns and collate it.” She said.
“Mommy is it alright if I start coloring these patterns?” Nathan asked.
“Alright, ask Kuya Vino to help you with it.” Laura said.
“Thanks, Mommy.” Nathan again exclaimed while he runs inside the house.
“Hindi pa nga natatapos yung huling binili natin na coloring books, meron na naman ulit.” Laura commented while they walk together going inside the house.
