41 - Soccer Game

Rebecca still got mum after Althea replied to her inquiry despite knowing that Thirdy and Althea has mutual feelings with each other. What struck her most Althea's annoyance when she dropped the her statement.

"I know my spot, Althea." Rebecca replied to Althea.

"That is not my question." Althea firmly said.

"If you shut-up first and listen to what I am about to say, you will know my answer to your question." Rebecca said. "Alright, I will not go around the bush and tell you straight that I like Thirdy." she begins explaining.

"If that is the case, don't use me to get his attention." Althea abruptly said.

"Ugali mo ba talaga na sumisingit kahit nagsasalita pa ang kausap mo. I don't think that is a good manner. Pwede patapusin mo muna ako bago ako mairita sa iyo?" Rebecca said.

"Go ahead and continue then" Althea replied as she also realized her bad conduct.

"Like what I have said, I like Thirdy." Rebecca continued speaking in between cheering for Thirdy's team. "But not romantically, hindi ko pinangarap na maging boyfriend yang si Tres. Masyado syang mabait para sa akin. Kaya utang na loob, wag mo akong pagselosan." She added.

"I hope you are telling the truth." Althea said.

"Grabe ka sa akin. Alam mo, hindi ka lang pala selosa, may trust issue ka rin pala. Ingat ka at baka makasanayan mo yan. I don't think MGOC employees will not like a president who will not trust them." Rebecca said.

"Can you blame me? Thirdy told me about telling you how much he likes me. Malay ko ba kung may hidden agenda ka." Althea said.

"Althea, hindi ako pretentious, what you see is what you get." Rebecca replied. "And can we please stop this nonsence talk, hindi ako makapag-concentrate sa panonood ko eh. Kapag natalo sila Tres, ikaw ang sisisihin ko." She added and continue cheering for Thirdy's team as if nothing happens.

"I'm sorry." Althea humbly apologized.

Rebecca smiles at her and replied. "Let's forget about it, and will you please start cheering for the team, we are behind and konting minuto na lang matatalo na tayo."

Althea smiles and begins cheering with Rebecca as she knows she has a new found friend in her.

The game ended with a draw score which trigger for the shootout to break the tie score. In the shootout, Thirdy's team were able to make four goals only and the chance to bag the championship is in Thirdy's hand as the team's best goalkeeper. Everyone are holding their breath at that crucial moment of the game including Althea and Rebecca.

The first three goals got in, while the fourth did not which add up to the thrill of the game. Thirdy was able to stop the opponent from scoring that makes their team bags the championship. Rebecca and Althea jumps for joy for their team's victory.

Everyone runs to the team to congratulate them while Thirdy runs towards Rebecca and Althea.

"We won." Thirdy exclaimed

"Congrats, Tres. Grabe sobrang intense naman ng game nyo." Rebecca said and give Thirdy a high five.

"Thanks, Reb." Thirdy replied. "I'am glad you were able to make it, Thea." He told Althea.

"Nice game, Thirdy. Congratulations." Althea said and abruptly gives Thirdy a hug. The latter got surprised on Althea's gesture while Rebecca mischievously smiles at him.
