During dinner, Laura notices Althea restlessness. She saw that her daughter is only staring at her plate full of food but she rarely touch those.
"Don't you like the food Althea?" she asked.
"This is fine Mommy." Althea asked.
"Are you alright, baby?" she asked.
"What time is Daddy coming home? Will he be joining us for the bedtime story tonight? There is something I want to tell him." Althea replied and Laura gets a little flustered.
"He said he is on his way home, kay Daddy lang ba pwedeng sabihin, hindi ko ba pwedeng malaman, baby?" Laura asked.
"I told you to tell her first, Ate." Vino butts-in
"What is it that Ate wants to tell Daddy, Vino?" Laura asked her eldest son.
"It is not that I don't want to tell you Mommy. Gusto ko lang sana sabay ko na lang sabihin sa inyo ni Daddy. At least kung magagalit kayo, sabay na." Althea replied.
"Magagalit? This seems serious, baby. I suggest, you tell me now before your Daddy learns about this." Laura said.
"I told you Ate, mas magandang kay Mommy mo muna sabihin." Vino said
"You are getting me anxious Althea Marie, tell me now what is it that you and Vino are talking about." Laura said in very serious tone.
"Ate Althea invited her club members to come to our house tomorrow morning, Mommy. And she does not know how to tell you." Lauren then butts-in too that surprised Vino and Althea.
"How did you know about it, Lauren?" Vino asked.
"I heard the two of you talking in the library." Lauren calmly replied.
"You invited guests without asking our permission?" Laura asked. "Kelan pa?" she added.
"I'm sorry, Mommy. You and Daddy were very busy these past few days and I could not ask permission then. The school organization asked us our art club for a new project, an exhibit in school which we will work with the ITOrg team, and it was Krissy who suggested that we use my art room to work on that project. We are running out of time to finish the project, that's why we need to work on it even on Sunday." Althea said.
"And you agreed on Krissy." Laura said and Althea nodded.
"I'm sorry Mommy, but I don't know how to tell them na hindi pa ako nagpapaalam sa inyo." Althea said.
Laura took a deep breath then said, "How many times will I tell you na kapag may kailangang kayo sa amin ng Daddy nyo, dapat sabihin nyo agad? Kahit sobrang busy pa kami, we will find time to discuss your concerns"
"I'm sorry, Mommy." Althea again apologized.
"How many people are we expecting?" Laura asked
"Around ten people po, five from the Art Club and five from the ITOrg." Althea said.
"ITOrg, is that the club led by Thirdy Reyes?" Laura asked.
"Yes po. The school committee likes our collaboration during the foundation day and they were asking us to create new art works for the family day." Althea replied.
"So it means, Thirdy is coming too?" Laura asked and Althea nodded. "Who else are coming?" she asked again.
"It will be Krissy, Bria, Emilia and hopefully, Therese for my team, then Thirdy, Steve, Joma, not sure about Leo and Rhon." Althea replied.
