As expected the whole Monteiro family watch Anthony and Vino’s soccer game on Saturday.  Despite the excitement of the game, Althea could not prevent herself from worrying about Thirdy regarding the basketball game which will happen a few moments after Vino’s game.

The bet that her two fathers agreed on, gave her much anxiety because if Thirdy and Santino loose, the permission given by Victor will be useless as both boys has to wait until she finishes her senior high school.

She is obviously worrying about Thirdy.  After her Dadddy granted her the permission she has been thinking of a smooth way on how she will tell Thirdy the good news.  They both admitted their feelings to each other when they were locked-up in the storage room but they want to get into the next level of whatever they have now the right way.

“Why are you not cheering, Ate?” Lauren asked.

“I am cheering.” Althea replied.

“I don’t think so, you were just looking at Kuya Thirdy and you are not focusing on the game.  You have to cheer as loud as you can, Kuya Vino’s team is behind by one point.” Lauren uttered.

“Eto na nga po magchi-cheer na.  Tinitingnan ko lang naman si Thirdy because I want to know their strategy.” Althea explained.

“Alright.” Lauren briefly replied and continue cheering on Vino’s team.

“I agree with Lauren.  You are missing the excitement of the game, ang lalim kasi ng iniisip mo.” Laura commented while cheering, too.

“Kasi naman si Thirdy, nakikialam pa sa coaching staff ng team nila Vino eh mamaya na yung basketball game nila ni Daddy.  He should be out there practicing because hindi naman sya talagang naglalaro ng basketball.” Althea could not help but burst her frustrations.

“Magtataka ka pa ba?  This is his sports, besides I know he want to show Vino and Anthony his support. Let’s give it to him.” Laura explained.

“Pero si Santino, Mommy, kanina pa sa basketball court nagpa-practice.  The least Thirdy can do is show some interest to win.” Althea said.

“Anak, hindi pa naman alam ng mga boys yung bagong bet.  They still know na for free snack lang ang game nila ngayon.” Laura said.

“Sana kasi umayaw na lang sya kung okay lang naman pala sa kanyang matalo sila ni Santino.  Nakakainis minsan ang mga decisions nyang si Thirdy eh.” Althea said.

“I don’t believe na naiinis ka. Ang tutoo, worried ka lang na matalo sila.” Laura said.

“Mommy, expected ko nang matatalo sila nila Daddy.  Ang sa akin lang naman, ipakita sana nya kila Dad na kahit katuwaan lang, pinaghahandaan pa rin nya kasi sila Daddy ang kalaro nya.  Pero look at him, para walang game mamaya kung umasta.” Althea lamented.

“Thirdy loves this sport, Baby.  I think that is one thing which you cannot take away from him.  Cheer-up, name-miss mo ang excitement, baka magtampo ang dalawang kapatid mo sa iyo kapag nakita nilang you are not cheering for them.” Laura said.

With her mother’s comment, Althea prefers to just get rid of her anxieties about the coming basketball game by just cheering on her brothers.  There were times that Althea get irritated when she sees Thirdy’s gaze and smiles at her while he runs from one corner of the soccer field to another to give some coaching as if the coming basketball game for him is not important at all.  She even praise Santino for exerting efforts for their basketball game with her fathers.
