24 - Coffee Break

For Laura, having a coffee is an unusual behavior of her husband. Oftentime, they go straight home after attending diiferent client events. Though she knows the reason of the rare behavior of her husband, she still choses to be mum.

"Baka hindi ka makatulog kapag nag-coffee ka pa nang ganitong oras." Laura told Victor.

"That's the plan, kaya hindi mo ako pwedeng tulugan. Kailangan samahan mo ako sa pagpupuyat ko." Victor replied.

"Distracted ka pa nyan ha, pero may gana ka pang humarot." Laura commented

"What can I do, you are the only one who can make me sane." Victor said.

"Grabe ka, may pasok ka bukas tapos may lakas ng loob ka pang magpuyat ngayon." Laura uttered.

"I am the President, nobody will question if I come to work late." Victor brags.

"Of course, Love. Nasa Italy kasi si Mama ngayon eh kaya walang sisita sa inyo ni Daniel kapag nagbulakbol kayo." Laura said.

"Kelan ba ang balik ni Mama?" Victor asked.

"Two weeks from now." Laura replied.

"I can't wait to tell her about that Concio family." Victor said.

"Love, please don't stress yourself about Althea. She is already sixteen, it is normal that some of her friends will have a crush on her. You know that she is not only smart. She is talented, beautiful and very level-headed. Normal lang na maraming magkagusto sa kanya. Can we just trust her judgement on those guys who are crushing on her?" Laura said.

"I trust her judgement, but I don't trust those guys whom you said are crushing on her." Victor said.

"I have to agree with you on that. Hindi naman 24 hours natin nababantayan ang mga anak natin. We do not know what those people around them are capable of doing." Laura uttered

"And I tell you Ri, after hearing Carlos earlier, I am watching his son now." Victor said.

"So ano ang gusto mo, palipatin natin ng school si Althea, just to get rid of Santino? Remember, hindi lang sila sa school nagkikita, pwede rin sa mga charity events ni Mama." Laura said.

"Then Althea should stop attending charity events from now on." Victor declared.

"You know we cannot do that. Alam naman natin na susunod si Althea sa lahat ng ipag-uutos natin but she will be unhappy kapag inalis natin yung mga activities na nagpapasaya sa kanya." Laura said.

"Let's talk about that inside, at pagdating nila Daniel." Victor said while he parks the car in front of the coffee shop.

Victor and Laura came into the coffee shop ahead of Daniel and Allona so they decided to order coffee for the couple too then occupy the couch at the corner of the coffee shop.

"I will never get tired of macchiato. This coffee started it all." Victor said

"And nobody comes into my mind everytime a macchiato crosses my mind, ikaw lang" Laura sweetly replied.

"Ang tamis naman nun" someone from behind commented.

"O nasaan na si Daniel? Bakit ang tagal nyo?" Victor asked Allona.

"Hinintay pa namin yung isang customer na paalis na sa parking, hindi yata marunong magmaneho eh, ang bagal mag-maniobra. Nag C.R. lang si Daniel, Kuya." Allona said and sits on the couch facing Laura and Victor.

"Nag-order na ako ng coffee nyo." Laura said

"Thank you sis, mukhang mahaba-habang usapan ito ah, may pa-coffee-break si Kuya eh." Allona commented chuckling.
