It is almost siesta time when the Monteiro Family arrived home after watching Vino's game and had lunch at their favorite Italian restaurant. Victor carries Nathan to the room as the little boy is already asleep while Lauren and Carrie went straight to their room to change with Althea.
"Vino, can I talk to you for a minute?" Laura asked her eldest son.
"Mom, if this is about the essay writing, I'll think about it, ok?" Vino coldly replied.
"No it is not about that ...." Laura said.
"Mommy, alam ko naman po na alam nyo na, kasi nakita ko po ang adviser ko na kausap si Daddy yesterday." Vino uttered.
"Well, I mean ... anak I will not force you to do things that you are uncomfortable with. Ang gusto ko lang gawin mo ang mga bagay na gusto mong gawin, regardless kung ano ang iisip namin ng daddy mo. We will always be proud of you son, kahit anong mangyari, your daddy and I will always be proud of you." Laura sweetly declared.
"Thanks Mommy, I will keep that in mind. Can I go up and change now po?" Vino asked and Laura just nodded.
"Go ahead and rest son, that was a tough game." Laura lovingly said then Vino went up to stairs.
Victor is all smile when he meet Vino on his way down the stairs. "Nice game son, congratulations again." He said and taps Vino's shoulder. "Next game, ganon lang ulit ha para sure win kayo." he proudly uttered.
But Vino just smile at him and coldly replied "Yes po, thanks Daddy"
"Is there something wrong? They won the game, di ba dapat masaya si Vino?" he asked Laura who waits for him downstairs.
"Love, can you please be subtle on Vino?" Laura said.
"What did I do? I don't understand what you are talking about" Victor asked.
"You are putting a lot of pressure in him." Laura said.
"Am I? Seriously?" Victor asked.
"Yes at hindi mo lang napapansin." Laura quickly replied. "Love, I know, you don't want to put pressure on the kids. But, the way you communicates with them says otherwise." Laura said.
"What did I do wrong?" Victor asked.
"First with Althea, have she talked to you about her request for a part-time job at the store? I'm sure she hasn't yet." Laura said.
"Yes I was waiting for her to approach me, kanina pa wala naman syang binabanggit about dun" Victor replied.
"Correct, because she thought that her request is already denied." Laura replied. "She is so afraid that you will break her heart, Love." Laura said.
"But we already talked about it, pumapayag naman ako, though on certain conditions that we both agreed to." Victor said.
"Yun naman pala eh, bakit sya pa ang kailangang lumapit sa iyo? Pwede namang kausapin mo na sya about that. It will not make you less of a father kung ikaw ang unang lalapit kahit sya ang may kailangan." Laura explained.
"Fine, I get your point. What is the next issue? You talked about Althea, but you were stressing on being subtle at Vino, what's wrong?" Victor asked.
"Sinabi ko na kanina di ba? You are putting a lot of pressure on the kids, and Vino is taking it seriously na parang hindi na sya pwedeng magkamali. Di ba dapat 'Nice game and congratulations' lang, bakit meron pang 'next time ganun ulit para sure win'?" Laura replied.
