37 - BFF meets the BFF

Nothing has changed between Althea and Thirdy despite having different strands in senior-high-school. They enrolled at the same time. Therefore, they were able to align their class schedules. Even with busy schedules at school, they still find time to talk to each other daily. And since Mamita is back from Italy, Althea and Thirdy became more active in helping their folks in their charity events.

"Hello, Thirdy. We just arrived at the venue? Where are you? Nandito na si Sir Dick." Althea said over the phone.

"We are already here, Thea. Papasok na sa venue." Thirdy replied.

"We? May kasama ka?" she asked.

"Yes, sinundo ko si Reb para makasama natin anyway, wala naman syang gagawin. Also, para ma-meet mo na rin sya." Thirdy said. "Babay na, nakikita na kita." He said before he hungs-up.

Althea took a deep sigh as she is not expecting to meet the girl who has been the topic of her conversation with Thirdy more often. A part of her would like to meet Thirdy's friend but a part of her also does not want anymore.

She forced herself to smile upon seeing Thirdy and a pretty and charming girl almost the same height as him. She show how warmly she greeted Thirdy's grandfather and she senses that her grandmother is starting to be fond of this girl.

"What time are we starting?" someone asked from behind.

"Hello, Santino. I thought you are not coming." Althea asked.

"Yeah, last minute change of plan ni Mommy eh, I have no choice but to drive her here. And since nandito ka na, I decided to stay." Santino said.

Meanwhile, Thirdy saw Santino talking to Althea and he feels uncomfortable with how close Santino's distance from Althea.

"Thea!" he could not help but call Althea to break the ice the latter and Santino. He quickly walks towards the two, leaving Rebecca with Aurora.

"What time are we starting?" Thirdy asked.

"I already asked her that." Santino said when abruptly his mother calls him so he had no choice but to leave Thirdy and Althea alone. "Excuse me, my Mom needs me. I'll see you later guys." He said.

"It is fine, Santino, the program is about to start in fifteen minutes." Althea said before Santino walks towards his mother. "Bakit mo iniwan yung ka-date mo?" she asked Thirdy.

"Anong ka-date? She is not my date. I just thought of introducing her to this kind of activities, baka makatulong sa atin." Thirdy said. "Come on, lapitan natin sila. Hindi ko sya mahatak from Madam Chairman eh, ang dami agad nilang pinag-usapan." He further said and swiftly grabs Althea's hand and pulls her towards Aurora and Rebecca.

"Althea, come and I want you to meet someone." Aurora gladly told Althea. "Rebecca, she is Althea, my eldest granddaughter. Althea, I would like you to meet Rebecca. She is the granddaughter of my friend, who lives in Cebu. Inaanak ko rin ang Mama nya na si Chef Amanda. This is really such a small world." Aurora gladly said.

"Hello Althea, I'm glad to meet you." Rebecca said then extended her hand to Althea for a handshake which Althea accepted.

"Hello Rebecca, it's nice to finally meet you. I have been hearing a lot about since Thirdy came back from Cebu." Althea said with a little of sarcasm.

"You are of the same age, baby. It would be nice if you became friends." Aurora said and Althea just smiles at her grandmother and prefers not to say anything. "Where are you staying here, iha?" Aurora asked.
