Laura is busy making cup cakes for dessert with Althea and Lauren when Vino suddenly shows up in the kitchen. He came home late from school because of his soccer practice.
"Good afternoon, Mommy" he vibrantly greeted and gave his mother a peck on her cheek. "Hello sisters" he said to Althea and Lauren.
"Hello lil bro" Althea greeted him back.
"Hello there Kuya Vino, mukhang maganda ang mood ng pogi kong anak ah" Laura commented. "How's school?" she asked.
"School is fine, Mommy. What are you making?" he asked
"Chocolate cup cakes, dessert natin later." Laura replied.
"Oo nga pala, I forgot na si Lauren ang incharge to choose the dessert for later." Vino meaningfully uttered.
"What's wrong with having cup cakes for dessert Kuya. At hindi ako magsasawa sa cup cakes ni Mommy kasi masarap syang gumawa ng cup cakes." Lauren said.
"Nothing wrong with Mommy's cup cake, but please naman Lauren baka pwedeng at least once a month, baguhin mo naman ang choice mo for dessert." Vino said
"Leave your sister alone Vino, bumawi ka na lang kapag turn mo nang pumili ng dessert." Laura said.
"I agree with Mommy, Vino. Hindi naman umaangal si Lauren kapag turn mo nang pumili ng dessert eh, so sana ganun ka din sa kanya." Althea uttered.
"Fine, I'm sorry Lauren" Vino said.
"It's alright Kuya, hindi lang naman ikaw ang umaangal sa cup cakes eh, si Carrie rin naman. Kaya naisip ko, maybe I could change my choice one in a while. Hayaan mo next week hindi na cup cake ang pipiliin kong dessert natin." Lauren said.
"Really Lauren? Asahan ko yan ha." Vino excitedly said.
"Yes Kuya, chocolate cake naman for dessert next week." Lauren replied.
"Chocolate cake? Di ba pareho din yun? Pinalaki mo lang yung cup cake eh." Vino asked.
"Of course not, magka-iba yun Kuya." Lauren replied.
"Alright, sabi mo eh." Vino replied. "Can I stay for a little while here Mommy? Panoorin ko kayong gumawa ng cup cakes" he asked.
"Of course anak, but you might want to change first?" Laura said.
"Mamaya na lang po ako magpapalit ng damit." Vino replied.
"Ok" Laura briefly replied though she is curious as this is the first time that Vino watches them making cup cakes. "Are you hungry Kuya? May itinabi akong pizza sa for you." She asked.
"Busog pa po ako, later na lang siguro." Vino replied.
"Baka mawalan ka ng ganang mag-dinner mamaya." Laura said.
"Hindi naman po." Vino replied and sat at the kitchen stool to watch his sisters make cup cakes with his mother. "Mommy can I ask you something?" Vino asked
"Of course anak, what is it?" Laura asked back.
"Can you please describe Daddy? I mean how was he when you were still not married, what made you attracted to him?" Vino asked.
"Well, wala namang bago, He is the most thoughtful, loving and caring person that I know. Also, he is still that sweet and dedicated but masungit President of MGOC" Laura replied.
"Why was he masungit?" Vino asked
"Well your Dad has very little patience for mistake. Ang gusto kasi nya, his people will learn from their mistakes. Therefore, if someone commits the same mistake in the office, nagiging dragon si Daddy nyo." Laura replied.
