58 - Althea's Side of the Story

Victor and Laura were surprised when Althea told them that Richard and Dei Reyes will come over dinner instead of Charmaine to talk about the incident. The Reyeses arrived at around seven in the evening at the Monteiro mansion. Victor admires the Reyeses for taking their time to fly to Manila to talk about what happen to their children and how shall they handle the bad incident.

"Richard, Dei, this is a pleasant surprise." Laura said.

"I hope it is alright we abruptly showed up tonight." Richard said.

"We are glad to see you here, Sir Richard and Ms. Dei." Victor said.

"Didn't I tell you to call us by our first names, Victor?" Richard said.

"Welcome to our home, Richard and Dei." Laura said.

"Thanks, Laura." Dei said. "By the way this is for you." She added and she gave Laura a basket of Cebu delicacies.

"Thank you very much for this, Dei. My daughter Lauren will be delighted on this pasalubong. Favorite nya ang Otap eh." Laura said.

"Sabi nga ni Thirdy, that's why I brought a lot, enough to share with her siblings." Dei said.

"Good evening Mr. and Mrs. Monteiro." Thirdy greeted.

"Good evening, Thirdy." Laura replied, smiling widely.

"I have to go now, Victor and Laura. Inihatid ko lang sila Dad dito, I have to go back to Royalties Hotel immediately because we have European guests I need to attend to them personally. Anyway, Dad and Mom are here. I believe they should be the one you should talk to regarding the incident." Charmaine said.

"Why don't you join us for dinner before you leave, Charmaine?" Laura said.

"Thank you for the invitation but I really need to go now. Papabalikin ko na lang yung driver for their ride home." Charmaine said.

"Ikaw ang bahala. Next time perhaps." Victor said.

"Definitely, next time." Charmaine replied before she bids her goodbye to her parents and the Monteiros.

"Let's have dinner first before we get down to business. I'm sure gutom na kayo since you went straight here from your flight." Victor said after Charmaine left.

All of them proceeds inside the house and Dei was in awe when she sees the interior of the Monteiro Mansion.

"You have a beautiful house. A happy home is very evident in the atmosphere." Dei commented.

"Thank you, Dei." Laura replied.

"Good evening, Mr. and Mrs. Reyes." Althea greeted.

"Hello, Althea. I am glad to see you again. Ok ka na ba?" Dei sweetly said.

"Yes, po. And I'm glad to see you again, too, Ms Dei." Althea replied.

"I would love it if you call me Tita Dei and my husband as Tito Richard." Dei said.

"This way to the dining area, please." Victor said and they all went to the dining area for their dinner.

The Monteiros and Reyeses had their dinner before they talked about the incident. Victor and Laura as well as Richard and Dei are very careful to mention about what happened to Thirdy and Althea infront of Althea's siblings as they do not want to scare them.

After dinner they all proceed at the library to have that serious talk.

"You mentioned about filing a complain at school, I believe I should do the same. Our children's life was put at risk and I am not letting this slide." Richard said.
