It is one lazy Sunday afternoon that Victor got surprise to have an unexpected visitor. This boy looks familiar, he knows that he met him once but he could not recall when and where.
“Good afternoon po, nandyan po ba si Althea?” the boy said.
“Why are you looking for her?” he asked before the guard on duty coud speak.
“Good afternoon sir, I am Thirdy Reyes, Althea’s classmate. She is actually expecting me to come today.” Thirdy politely replied.
Only then when Victor recalls that Althea told him about a classmate of her will drop by this afternoon to check on her broken laptop.
He was busy playing with Nathan as he was not able to grasp what exactly Althea is saying earlier where he immediately gives her a nod. Now he is reprimanding himself for not paying attention to Althea while she talks to him.
“Papasukin mo na sya.” Victor then instructed the guard, so the latter opens the gate so that Thirdy could come in. “How did you get here?” he asked Thirdy while he walks with the latter going inside the house.
“Hinatid po ako ng driver ng Lolo ko.” Thirdy replied.
“Paano ka uuwi?” Victor asked.
“I will call him as soon as matapos na po akong i-check yung laptop ni Althea.” Thirdy replied.
“You said, classmate ka ni Althea, what assurance can I get na hindi mo sisirain ang gamit ng anak ko?” Victor strongly asked.
“Per Vino’s description on the problem, I think, it only needs reconfiguration, hindi ko naman po physically bubuksan yung unit.” Thirdy replied.
“You only think? Hindi ka pa rin sigurado, so how sure are you na magagawa moa ng laptop ni Althea?” Victor again asked.
“Honestly sir, I am not really certain if I can fix it, but I’ll do the best I can para naman hindi po ako mapahiya sa inyo.” Thirdy replied.
“You said earlier that it was Vino whom you talked to about the problem. How did you know my son?” Victor asked.
“We play the same sports sir. I belong to the senior soccer team of our school. Vino and I have the same position, both of us are goalkeepers.” Thirdy replied.
“Nandito na pala ang bisita natin.” Laura said when they meet her in the living room.
“Good afternoon, Tita Laura. It is nice seeing you again.” Thirdy greeted.
“Likewise, Thirdy. Pasensya ka na, mukhang inistorbo ka ng mga anak ko.” Laura said.
“No problem Tita, wala rin naman akong ginagawa sa bahay eh.” Thirdy replied.
“How can that be? Di ba classmate ka ni Althea, how come she is very busy for school stuff while you are not?” Victor asked.
“Perhaps they have different stylesq when it comes to school stuff, Love.” Laura butts in as she feels that her husband is already interrogating their guest. “Come on Thirdy, I’ll walk you to the library, nandun si Althea at si Vino.” Laura said and held Thirdy’s hand to lead him to the library.
