Laura is about to start telling Althea about the story of Aliah when she realized that Victor is still in their room waiting for her cue.
“Parang hindi kumpleto” Laura said.
“What do you mean Mommy?” Althea asked.
“I need to call Daddy, mas sanay ako na nandito sya during bedtime stories eh” Laura said and immediately took out her phone and call Victor. “Love, Althea and I are having a special bedtime story, would you like to join us?” she asked then quickly hungs up after her short conversation with Victor.
“Baby, I asked Daddy to join us because there are certain parts of the story na mas maganda kung sya ang magkukwento.” Laura said.
“Ok lang po Mommy. I understand.” Althea said.
After a short while, Victor softly knocks and gently opens the door. “Mind if I join you ladies?” he asked while smiling widely.
“Of course Daddy.” Althea replied. As soon as Victor sat on the bed beside Althea, the latter immediately hug him, then she pulls Laura so she could hug her with Victor.
“I don’t know why am I this sentimental Daddy, Mommy but all I can say is, I miss this. Matagal na din since the last time, I had a bedtime story with you alone. But please don’t get me wrong, I love our current set-up, I understand that you have to take turns in attending to our needs. It is just that, parang hindi ko na matandaan when was the last time I had an alone time with the two of you together.” Althea said.
“Shall we start?” Laura asked and Althea nodded. “Once upon a time, a handsome prince lives in a beautiful palace, together with the Queen and his equally handsome older brother.” Laura started telling the story.
“Equally handsome talaga? Hindi ba pwedeng more handsome?” Victor asked.
“Hindi yun ang nakalagay sa book.” Laura replied and Althea chuckles.
“I am just kidding, Ri. You may now continue.” Victor said.
“One day, the prince met a beautiful princess. Instantly, they fell in love and decided to live together. The Queen Mother, noticed that the prince was at his best whenever he was with the princess. Therefore, she gave him a huge responsibility of taking care of their kingdom while his older brother was away. For a long time, the prince and the princess live a happy life, until an evil witch came and make the prince and the princess fall apart.” Laura said.
“The evil witch succeeded in breaking up the prince and princess. The princess left and return to their kingdom leaving the prince very devastated. Since then, the prince looses his interest in running the kingdom, everything were a mess including the prince’s life. The Queen and his brother were so worried but they don’t know how can they help the prince.” Victor continued.
“Hindi pinuntahan nung prince yung princess to get her back?” Althea asked.
“He did, but the family of the princess was very angry at the prince. Someone even told the prince that the princess was not living in their palace anymore. Also,they pushed the prince away and told him never to come back” Victor replied.
