Laura is feeling bored at the party hosted by one of MGOC’s client because ever since, she is not fond of parties especially parties at the bar. She and Victor together with Daniel and Allona are invited at the opening of the new branch of The Stir-up bar and restaurant owned by the Concio Family. The TSUBR is one of the big clients that MGOC has. The bar’s wine and spirits are solely bought from MGOC.
“I think pareho tayo ng feeling sis.” Allona told her when the latter sees her yawning.
“I am not really into this kind of parties, masyadong maingay.” Laura said.
“What can we do, this establishment is one of MGOC’big client, kaya kailangang makisama.” Allona commented.
“Anong oras kaya tayo pwedeng umuwi?” Laura asked.
“Tinanong ko na yan kay Daniel kanina, ang sabi hintayin na lang muna daw nating dumating si Carlos, kasi nakakahiya naman daw dun sa mag-asawa. He is on his way naman na daw, nadelay daw kasi yung flight from Hongkong.” Allona said.
“Nasaan na ang mga asawa natin?” Laura asked while she looks around to find Victor.
“I saw him and Daniel talking with Beatrice earlier. Nandyan lang yun sis.” Allona replied.
“Yeah I saw the three of them talking. And I don’t like how that Beatrice looks at the Monteiro borthers.” Laura said.
“Nakita ko rin yun, but I just shrugged it off. I give her the benefit of the doubt. Baka naman ganun lang talaga syang tumingin. Mas maganda sigurong hintayin natin si Carlos, so we could compare how she looks at her husband.” Allona said.
“Good evening po.” Someone greeted from behind. When they look at the owner of the voice, they saw a tall young gentleman smiling at them. “It’s good to see you here po, my name is Santino, I am the eldest son of Carlos and Beatrice.” Santino said to introduce himself.
“Good evening Santino, no need to introduce yourself. We usually see you in some of the charity events attended by your Mom.” Allona replied.
“I’m glad you still remember me Ms. Allona.” Santino said.
“And I am glad too, that you know my name.” Allona replied.
“I make sure to remember everything about Althea Marie.” Santino replied which make the two ladies look at each other.
“That’s interesting, why do you want to remember everything about my daughter young man?” Laura asked.
“Your daughter is a special lady, Ms. Laura.” Santino replied.
“I know she is special, but how special is she to you?” Laura asked again.
“As special as, I want to pursue her, if you will allow me.” Santino said.
“Whhoooaaa, that was fast. I wonder how my husband will take that statement.” Laura said.
“I’m sorry Santino, but I think this is not the right venue to discuss about that.” Allona said.
