Since she is banned to have a wi-fi access, Althea prefers to stay in her art room and finish whatever was left in her recent art work.  She is very disappointed at herself for breaking the house rule and she has no choice but to accept the punishment as this is not the first time this had happened.

She blew a huge sigh when she hears someone knocks at the door.  Even the door is behind her, she still knows who her visitor is.

“What do you want, Vino?” she asked.  As always, Vino never fails to check on her whenever she get reprimanded by either her Dad or her Mom.  Her is always there by her side everytime she feels down and sad.

“Are you alright, Ate?” he asked.
“I am not, but I have to accept the punishment.” Althea replied.

“Kasi naman Ate, this is not the first time you broke the house rules about answering your phone.  Tapos nadagdagan pa nung sobrang nag-worry si Mommy sa iyo kasi hindi ka mahanap nung driver sa venue yun.  What happen ba? Saan ka nagpunta, bakit hindi ka nakita ni Mang Hector?” Vino asked.

“Thirdy, Rebecca and I went out for a quick snack” Althea replied.

“If you only saw how Mommy freaks out earlier kasi hindi ka mahanap nung ni Mang Hector, tapos hindi ka pa sumasagot sa phone mo.  Kawawa nga yung driver natin, Ate. Kasi sinisigawan sya  ni Mommy sa phone.” Vino said.

Realizing the huge effect of her action, Althea became more sad. “I will apologize na lang kay Mang Hector.  Hindi ko rin kasi nabasa yung text nya sa akin na nasa venue na sya at hinihintay na nya ako.” Althea said.

“Sabay-sabay naman ang offenses mo, Ate. First, you broke the rule about answering your phone.  Second, you did not ask permission to have a snack with Thirdy.  Third, hindi natuloy yung movie date natin with Dad Daniel and Mama Allie. Kaya siguro ganon ka-galit si Mommy.” Vino said.

“I forgot about the movie date.” Althea honestly replied.

“Mommy reminded you about it before you left this morning.” Vino said.

“I know, pero sa sobrang dami ng activities ko today, nakalimutan ko talaga. And I have no choice but to accept the consequences of my action.” Althea said.

“You know what, Ate? I am certain you will not do it again.” Vino said smiling.

“Syempre naman, ang hirap kaya ng walang phone.” Althea said.

“That is not what I mean.” Vino said.

“What you mean then?” Althea asked.

“You will not do it again because you cannot live without checking your social media accounts.  Pati ako lolokohin mo, Ate.  Meron ka pa rin namang phone eh, hindi nga lang smart phone, but still you are reachable.  You seldom used your phone for calls, oftentimes, you used viber to communicate with your friends.” Vino said.

“Ang dami mong alam.” Althea commented.

“I am a keen observer, Ate.  Sabi nga ni Daddy minana ko raw yun sa kanya, though I believe otherwise, kay Mommy ko namana yun.  I know what is going on around me pero hindi lang ako nagsasalita kasi nga bata pa raw ako yo comment. Like ngayon, alam kong confiscated ang phone mo kasi wala sa tabi mo eh.  Also, mommy told me na hindi raw kita pwedeng pagamitin ng laptop ko to check on your social media accounts. But don’t worry Ate, like the usual tutulungan kita sa mga research works mo.” Vino said.

“Thanks for the help, bro,  but I can manage. Sabi naman ni Mommy, she will open the site I need for school, all I have to do is to tell her.  Yung social media lang talaga ang hindi pwede talaga.”  Althea commented.
