The charity event continues and since Rebecca is new to such kind of event he made sure that he never leaves her alone. On the other hand, Rebecca’s eyes are stuck on the young man who has been following Althea Marie Monteiro wherever she goes. As she watches Althea do the storytelling, Rebecca could not help but admire her friend’s apple of the eye. At a very young age, she finds her as a strong-willed girl, and she somehow sees herself in her in that character.
Little did Thirdy and Rebecca know that despite being busy in the storytelling activity, Althea makes sure to keep her eyes on them and she is not exactly happy on what she sees. She is not used on Thirdy being with another girl since they started being closed friend. After Thirdy admits his feelings for her, she claims that she is the only girl for him. Until Rebecca came whom he says his bestfriend during this elementary grade and she could not help but be jealous
During the feeding activities, Althea helped Thirdy and Rebecca to distribute the foods for the kids. Seeing how busy Althea is, Santino choose to help her and Thirdy did not like the gesture.
“Rebecca, My Mama Allie baked some cookies for the kids, come and help me prepare it.” Althea said.
“Okay.” Rebecca briefly replied though hesitant as this is the first time that Althea asked for her help after telling Thirdy that she is babysitting her.
“Tara, tulungan ko na rin kayo.” Thirdy said.
“Yeah, let Thirdy and I help you girls.” Santino said.
“Mas kailangan kayo dito, kaya maiwan kayo dito. Mamigay kayo ng tubig sa mga kids, hindi yung lagi kayong nakabuntot sa amin.” Althea commented and gently pulls Rebecca going to the kitchen.
Rebecca thought that it could have been a chance to introduced herself to Santino but she had no choice but to go with Althea in the kitchen.
“Come and help me put these cookies on the tray, then after na lang nilang kumain saka natin ilabas, baka kasi mawalan ng gana yung mga kids kapag ibinigay na natin itong mga cookies sa kanila.” Althea told Rebecca.
“These cookies look delicious.” Rebecca commented while she arranged the cookies on the tray.
“My Mama Allie made that. Favorite namin ni Almira yan.” Althea said.
“Sino si Almira, sister mo?” Althea said.
“Yes she is. Oftentime, she comes with us in this kind of charity event. But she got busy in school so she begs off.” Althea said. “Would you like to try these cookies? Kuha ka lang.” she said
“Ok lang ba? Nakakahiya naman kung mauuna pa ako sa mga kids eh para sa kanila ang event na ito?” Rebecca said.
“We have more than enough. Here, tikman mo.” Althea said and handed to Rebecca a piece of cookies.
“Thanks.” Rebecca said before she tasted it. “Grabe ang sarap naman nito.” She commented.
“Really?” Althea asked.
“Yes, parang yung cookies na ginagawa ni Ma’am Dei. Not too sweet, sakto lang ang tamis. Alam mo magugustuhan ni Thirdy ‘to, halos pareho ng lasa nung ginagawa ng Mommy nya. ” Rebecca said.
