Ch.1 Homecoming

It was a normal Saturday night and Anna and her dad Scott were talking about music and old punk bands etc, then Anna spoke
"Dad do you know what the 924 Gilman Street Club is"?
"No what is that"?
"Oh come the fuck on, the person who knows everything about music and you dont know what that is"
"Well tell me"
"Okay its the club Green Day and a lot of other punk bands got there start like Operation Ivy, Dead Kennedys, Rancid"
"Where is it?"
"Berkeley"
"Oh well you know what"
"What"
"One day before I die we are hitting the Sunset Strip and that club too"
"Yeahhhh"
"I'm gonna go over to the gas station okay"
"Okay"
(Time skip 5 minutes)
"What'd ya get"?
"A scratcher" and Anna's dad did the card, then she spoke
"What'd ya win"
"Holy shit we won like a shit ton of money!" Anna's dad said freaking out
"Wait what" Anna said in shock
"Yeah"
"Sunset Strip and Gilman here we come whooo hooo" the next day they were on a flight to Berkeley and it was summer so it didn't matter that it was Sunday
"Are you excited"?
"Hell Yeah"
"Awesome" they checked into there hotel room and by that time it was already dark so they just went to bed estatic for the next day.
(8:00 am)
"DAD WAKE UP LETS GO I WANNA SEE SOME CLUBS" Anna's dad groaned, then spoke
"Okay okay calm down wanna get Starbucks"?
"Is that even a question"
"I guess not lets go" so they went to Starbucks and got a crap ton of caffine then were off, they were now walking to a club called the Truador they already finished their drinks, but when they were crossing the street in a realitively quiet neighborhood Anna's dad was hit by a car and she left her phone at the hotel same with her dad and Anna immediately started yelling for help
"HELP ANYONE HELP PLEASE" and who hears it and comes dashing around the corner none other then Mr. Billie Joe Armstrong himself
"Oh my god are you okay" Billie said knelt down besides Anna and her dad
"I'm fine" and Billie pulled out his phone
"I'm calling an ambulance" the ambulance came and took Anna's dad and the paramedic asked Billie
"Are you family"
"Yeah I'm her uncle" he said just so he could ride to the hospital with them
"Okay come on" her dad was taken to the nearest hospital and Billie waited with Anna waiting for news on her dad's condition, kept her company, help distract her, and get to know her
"So what's your name" Billie asked smiling, seeing if he could get a smile out of her and she spoke
"Anna" and a tiny smile appeared on her face
"Cool, one of my sister's names is Anna, so are you guys from California"
"No we're from Milwaukee, Wisconsin ring a bell" Billie was just sitting there laughing same as Anna
"Yeah that just might, so what brings you to town"
"Well my dad and I one night were talking about old punk bands because I have the Green Day FAQ book, so we were just talking about it and I asked him if he knew what the 924 Gilman Street Club was and he said no so I explained it to him and we got into the whole discussion about clubs and he said that one day before he dies were hitting the Sunset Strip and Gilman and then he went to the gas station and got a scratcher and won like a shit ton of money so yeah that's about it"
"Oh cool so you like old punk bands huh"
"Yeah I like the Ramones, Operation Ivy, Joan Jett, Dead Kennedeys, Sex Pistols, Circle Jerks, The Clash, Bikini Kill, and well obviously I love Green Day"
"Really wow, tell me more about yourself" Billie said resting his head on his hand
"Well I'm 13 music is the reason I breathe I'm lesbain and genderfluid and Green Day really really helped me through some really dark times and I'm not just some person who says there a fan by fan I mean fan, shit that sounded so self-centered, sorry"
"No, it's fine, I get it it's okay and cool, whats genderfluid?" Billie said interested
"It's were a person identifys as a girl sometimes, a boy sometimes, both sometimes, or neither sometimes, so you are pretty much everything"
"Wow, I am learning so much from a 13 year old " Billie said laughing a little
"Of course you are, c-can I show you something"
"Sure" Anna rolled up her sleeve and spoke
"Green Day and one other band saved my life" Billie sat there with tears welling up in his eyes realizing that she was not just an ordinary fan and touched her scars with permission of course, then spoke
"I-I'm so um moved your better now right"
"Yeah I'm all good now"
"So whats your favorite movie" Billie said as he sat back down and wiped his eyes
"Ordinary World, not just because you are in it but because it makes me happy and puts a smile on my face and is just a good movie"
"That's good do you have any pets?"
"Yeah I have a dog Bandit, he's a boxer"
"Cool, what is your favorite album of mine"
"Thats hard but I would have to say all of them" and Billie just laughed a little
"Cool so what other bands do you like"
"Some of these might ring a bell but Fall Out Boy, Van Halen, Metallica, Motley Crue, Iron Madien, Megadeath, The Ramones, Operation Ivy, Joan Jett, Poison, I Don't Know How But They Found Me, Sum 41, The Pretty Reckless, The Runaways, and some I forgot"
"Damn for a 13 year old you do have good music taste"
"Thank you, my dad use to be in a band, he told me he met you in 2004 at the Rave in Milwaukee, Tainted Perception and he told me when he met you and I'm just like, so I wasn't even a thought and you were meeting my freaking idol and I got so jealous at him forever, I also summed it up for him thats like if his dad met Eddie Van Halen"
"That's fair and yeah I remember him he was cool"
"Thank you"
"For what ?"
"Um calling 911 and coming here and waiting with me and maybe saving my dad's life seriously thank you"
''No problem"
"And for keeping me distracted from my dad"
"Its fine" just then the doctor came out to talk to them
"Um Miss Kushner"
"Yes"
"Your dad is in a coma I'm very sorry" Anna felt like the world was spinning she was in shock and fell over but Billie caught her
"H-How long we he be like this "
"Um at the most two month at the least two days"
"C-Can I see him"
"Yes right this way" the doctor led them into her dad's room, Anna fell to the ground at the sight of her dad like this and Billie caught her again.
"Hey it's okay your dad is strong he's gonna be okay but you have to stay strong for him okay", Anna nodded and just stared at her dad laying there it made her want to throw up that the toughest person she knew could be knocked down
"Do you wanna Billie hug" Billie stood there smiling with open arms
"Yeah, thank you" she said quietly, she gave him a hug and instantly felt everything was gonna be okay but then she realized
"Oh shit how am I gonna pay for the hotel oh my god I have no where to go oh my god no!"Billie immediatley hugged Anna and spoke
"It's okay I will pay for the room we're gonna go back to the room get your stuff and your gonna stay with me and my wife, okay"Anna looked up at Billie wide eyed and squeezed the air outta him with a hug
"Really"
"Of course"he said smiling
"And tomorrow do you want to meet Mike and Tre" Anna literally almost fell over believing she could meet her favorite band, she was speechless
"And we can go to Gilman sometime if you want to" all she did was hug Billie and say thank you.
