Ch.98 Rockaway Beach

So after decompressing after the whole Ella thing, things went back to normal, Anna had actually started to express herself more, like with the clothes she wore, when she was younger she had cool parents that didn't care what clothes she wore, what toys she played with, or what gender her friends were, but the other adults in her life, society, and school put into her head the old school beliefs that only certain things were meant for girls, only certain things were meant for boys, and watching those two genders be pinned against each other every day. The sad thing was that a lot of teenagers of Anna's generation had to go back and reteach themselves that things like clothes, make up, and everyday items down have a gender, Anna herself had and has to at this point in her life, so one day she walked up to Adrienne and spoke
"Um 80, think I could talk to you" Anna said sitting down next to Adrienne
"Of course, what's up" Adrienne said smiling
"W-Well, I was wondering if we could go clothes shopping"
"Of course Youngblood" and Adrienne could tell something else was on Anna's mind
"It's that it" she asked curiously
"No, can I be honest"
"Always" and Anna just looked at her lap and spoke
"Since I've been nine, I haven't felt right in feminine clothes, as I got older I felt slutty in them, I kinda liked that feeling, depending on what clothing it was, when I was back in school and had to wear a skirt, I felt like I was a guy cross dressing as a girl, but I liked that feeling and most feminine clothes make me feeling dysphoric, but there are a few exceptions like crop tops and skirts and I was wondering if we could go to Hot Topic and I could get some clothes, since I've always had a darker sense of style"  and when she looked up, Adrienne was sitting there with a smile on her face and she spoke
"I'm proud of you for telling me all of that Youngblood and of course we can, you can wear whatever you want, whatever makes you feel good and comfortable in your own body" and Anna just gave Adrienne a hug, so Anna and Adrienne went to Hot Topic and Adrienne let Anna pick out whatever clothing she wanted and Anna ended up picking out a black and white plaid pleated skirt with a grommet belt, a Royal Bones by Tripp chain and pleated skirt, a black and red plaid o-ring skater skirt, a teal plaid pleated chain skirt, and some other punk like accessories like a black safety pin wrist cuff, a black spike bracelet, a spike cord bracelet, and a Weirdo's Gang studs and chains safety pin faux leather choker, and a few shirts that she would make into crop tops later, Anna kind of felt bad for picking out so much stuff, but the whole time Adrienne was encouraging her to pick out whatever she wanted and that the price didn't matter, so when they walked out of the store, Anna hugged Adrienne and spoke
"Thanks 80, you're the best"
"You're welcome Youngblood, whatever makes you happy" Adrienne said ruffling Anna's hair, so they headed back home and Anna immediately ran upstairs to try on her new skirts, so she tried each one on and then went back downstairs to show Adrienne, who was smiling at Anna each time she came back downstairs, because she was happy that Anna was finally expressing herself and learning how to debunk the traditional, old school, bullshit beliefs that were put in her head when she was younger and Anna had a smile on her face each time she came back downstairs because she felt good in her new clothes and because Adrienne was one of her hype men and each time she would could back downstairs, Adrienne would say something to her that was positive, made her feel good about herself and confident, once Billie noticed, he was just smiling the entire time and spoke
"Queue King for a Day" he said smiling and laughing a little and Anna and Adrienne just laughed, so once Anna and Adrienne went and sat down by Billie and Celia in the living room, Billie spoke
"Mike would be obsessed with your outfits, because both of you have some kick ass style and own it" and Anna just laughed a little, then looked over at Celia, who was looking at her mesmerized and she spoke
"Like what you see dork" and Celia mindlessly nodded at her and Anna stretched her legs over Celia's lap  and Billie spoke
"Youngblood, you still wanna get more piercings"
"Hell yeah" Anna said smiling
"Want to today"
"Hell yes" Anna said excitedly, so a little bit later, they headed over to the same place that Anna got her nose pierced at, so paperwork, picking out her rings for her lip piercing and her barbell for her tongue piercing, so eventually she went back into the piercing and it was the sane chick who pierced her nose, so Anna got shark bites done as her lip piercing and a midline tongue piercing, or just a regular tongue piercing, so when they walked out of the tattoo and piercing place Billie spoke
"Lemme see Youngblood" he said smiling and she stuck her tongue out at him to show him her piercing and Adrienne spoke
"Do you like them" and Anna just nodded with a smile on her face, then she spoke
"I think I got my lip pierced where my lip was busted" she said skimming her finger over her lip piercings, so they headed home and Billie could tell that something was on Anna's mind
"What's on your mind Youngblood" and Anna spoke
"Since I had to check in with Nicole and we actually started to bond, I kinda miss her, she's actually not that bad, just has issues that she'a trying to work through and get better, I'd like to at least have a few good relationships with a few people that I'm actually related to, plus I talked to my dad and he's known Nicole since she's been like twelve or thirteen and he knows it's good if I have a relationship with her and I just miss her, I haven't seen her since my mom's funeral, I think" and Billie could tell that she was itching to do something, just then he got a phone call, it was their manager
"Hey man what's up"
"Think you would be up to doing a signing, to actually interact with fans again"
"Sure, sounds good"
"Okay, I'm gonna tell Mike and Tre and I'll send you the info, bye"
"Bye man" and Billie hung up then looked at Anna and spoke
"You up for a signing, Youngblood" and she smiled at him and nodded, then spoke
"Where is it" and the info popped up on Billie's phone and he laughed a little and spoke
"Ironically Hot Topic, but one in San Francisco"
"Cool" Anna said laughing a little, so Billie and Anna went and picked up the guys and when they saw Anna's new piercings, their reaction was priceless and Mike kept commenting on Anna's outfit, about how he thought it was cool, that he liked it, and that she had kick ass style, so they headed over to where the signing was, obviously the ride over there included some kick ass music of course, so once they got there, someone greeted them, and showed them over to where the signing booth was, so they sat down and a few minutes later the signing started and of course Anna's twitching just had to act up as she was signing something and she ended up twitching and throwing the marker she had in her hand at a fan and she spoke
"Shit I'm sorry, I-I didn't mean to do that" and her face was red with embarrassment and the fan spoke
"No, it's completely fine, but hey I can say that I got a marker thrown at me by a member of Green Day, so that's something" the fan said laughing a little, so after the fan walked away Anna spoke
"How am I supposed to sign stuff if I'm throwing shit at people"
"Don't worry Youngblood, I'll sign stuff for you and it seems you twitch no matter what mode you're in"
"Yeah, I twitch when I'm happy, excited, anxious, something's on my mind, I'm mad, or stuck in my head is what I've noticed" and Mike and Tre were both sitting there with confused looks on their faces and started questioning what her twitching was, which she explained and Billie spoke
"So your twitching can be anywhere from hitting and slapping yourself, throwing things, if you twitch when you're holding something, you shaking your fist really fast, and shaking or moving your hands up in down"
"Yeah" and her twitching was still acting up, she ended up slapping herself in the face
"Ow fuck" she said laughing a little
"C'mere Youngblood" Billie said putting her on his lap and wrapping his arms around her so her twitching would stop and Billie spoke
"Can you guys sign stuff for me, please" Mike and Tre both happily obliged and they were both worried about Anna because they'd never seen her twitching before, so as the signing went on Billie and Anna both got comments like, "That's so cute", "Aww", and "Why are they sitting on your lap" and Anna explained every time, so all together it was a good signing, Anna loved signings because she actually got to talk and interact with fans, so when they were leaving Mike spoke
"Would your twitching affect your guitar playing" and Anna hadn't  thought about that and her face went blank and she spoke
"Shit I-I never thought about that, no, no, no that's really fucking bad if I can't play, what if I completely fuck up during a song, god I can barely do anything when I'm twitching, what if I-" and just then she felt a pair of arms wrap around her
"It'll be okay Youngblood" Billie said hugging her, then Mike and Tre joined the hug to try and make Anna feel better, but Anna honestly didn't know what to think, so they headed home and Anna was quiet during the ride home, so once they got home and walked in the house and the sweet smell of baking hit them in the face, so they headed in the kitchen and found Adrienne and Celia baking, then Celia greeted Anna with a kiss and spoke
"So how was the signing" and Anna didn't answer, she just looked down at her feet, and fidgeted with her fingers, so in response Celia shoved a cookie in Anna's face, which Anna took a bite of , with a small smile
"Don't feel like talking right now" Celia said with a small smile and Anna shook her head, so Anna went and sat down on the couch and was on her phone, but she ended up twitching and throwing her phone across the room, she just sighed and looked down at the floor, Celia saw this, so she went in the kitchen and grabbed a plate of cookies and a glass of milk, then went over and sat down next to Anna and spoke
"Will cookies make it better" and Anna just shrugged her shoulders
"I saw what Billie does to help you stop twitching, so c'mere loser" Celia said with open arms and a smile, so Anna sat in Celia's lap, with her arms wrapped around her, while eating cookies, she felt so childish, so while that was happening, the guys and Adrienne were talking about the signing and Anna's twitching, Billie eventually went in the living room to check on Anna and saw her phone laying on the ground, so he picked it up, then set it down besides Anna and Celia, then ruffled Anna's hair and spoke
"Love you Youngblood" he said smiling and Anna signed 'Love you too, Billo' and he just smiled at her
"I'll leave you two be" he said walking back into the kitchen, so it was a pretty relaxing day the rest of the day, eventually Mike and Tre left and everyone eventually went to bed. So then next day, Anna was the first one awake, so she snuck down into the studio, picked up 'Whatsername' and started playing the beginning of 'Basket Case' and surprisingly she played the whole song without twitching, so she just kept playing more and more songs, then stopped when she turned around to see Billie, leaning against the wall, with his arms folded over his chest, and a smile plastered in his face and spoke
"Didn't twitch at all Youngblood" and Anna shook her head with a small smile
"That's good" Billie said smiling, "so what do you wanna do today" and Anna signed, asking if they could play a show
"Of course we can play a show Youngblood" Billie said smiling and he gave Anna a hug and spoke
"Y'know I'm proud of you and love you right and no problem or issues you have will ever change that" and Anna just smiled at him and signed 'thank you' and she loved him, so Billie called the guys to see if they were on board with playing a show, which they totally were, Billie was honestly a little worried about Anna, but also had a surprise for her, so the guys came over and they came up with a setlist, they decided that they were just going to play Unconscious Perception and Father of All, so they practiced a little, then headed over to where they were playing which was the Fox Theater, soundcheck, hung out, then before they knew, they were walking out on stage, met with cheers, Anna could see some shocked fans, because of her appearance
"Look a little different don't I" she said laughing a little into the mic, so then they jumped right into Unconscious Perception, they saved the slower, more somber songs for later, so they played through one whole album and so far, so good, Anna wasn't twitching, so they jumped into Father of All and during Fire, Ready, Aim, Anna started twitching and being stimmy and ended up throwing her pick across the stage and she kept twitching, she could feel a pit of anger and embarrassment in her stomach and Billie saw this and the look of pure disappointment on her face, 'oh shit' he thought to himself, just then Anna pulled her guitar off, raised it above her head, and slammed it down on the ground as hard as she could, snapping the neck from the body, now only connected by strings, and she threw it down besides her, thank god it wasn't a guitar that was special to her like 'Dizzy', 'Frankie', or 'Whatsername', then she broke down, she brought her knees up to her chest, in a fetal position,  her hands gripping her hair, and crying. Billie watched the whole thing, so he stopped playing and ran over by Anna, was on his knees and pulled her into his arms and whispered
"Hey it's okay Youngblood" he said hugging her tightly
"N-No it's not, I started twitching, I-I fucked up during a song, I-I threw my pick across the stage, and I-I smashed my guitar" and both Anna and Billie could hear fans asking if Anna was okay, Mike and Tre were keeping the beat, but concerned, watching Anna and Billie to see what was happening, Anna was just crying in Billie's arms and Anna spoke
"I-I'm sorry I fucked up a song"
"It's okay Youngblood, do you know how many times I've messes up during songs, either messed up or forgot the lyrics, played the wrong chords on accident, it happens to the best of us" Billie said smiling
"I-I twitch, tic, or stim when I'm happy and I'm happy when I'm performing and playing, so how am I-I gonna play if I keep twitching" and Billie came up with an idea
"If you start twitching, ticing, or stimming while we're playing a show, just get my attention, you can stand in front of me, behind the mic, and I can just keep playing on your guitar, that way I can still sing and play, but then my arms are somewhat around you to stop you from twitching, just incase, so you don't hurt yourself, how does that sound" Billie said with a smile and Anna just nodded and spoke
"Just don't blow out my eardrums please"
"Don't worry Youngblood, I won't" Billie said laughing, so Billie got up and helped Anna up and the crowd cheered, Billie reassured the guys that Anna was okay with a thumbs up, so Billie and Anna walked over to Billie's mic and Billie put his guitar on Anna, he stood behind Anna, then wrapped his arms around her so he could play and the jumped into 'Oh Yeah' and surprisingly Billie's idea worked, Anna didn't twitch the rest of the show and they actually made it through the whole show
"Thanks you and goodnight" Billie said with a smile into the mic right before they walked off stage and right as the got back stage the first thing out of Anna's mouth was
"I'm sorry" and Billie, Mike, and Tre all reassured her that she didn't have to be sorry for something that she doesn't have control over
"I have a surprise for you Youngblood" Billie said smiling, so he walked away and came back with Anna's aunt Nicole and Anna spoke
"Coley what are you doing here" she said running over and giving her aunt a hug and 'Coley' was the name Anna had called her aunt since she was a baby and Nicole spoke
"Billie called me and told me you missed me and I miss you too"
"Did you bring Jason with you" Anna asked looking up at her aunt
"Of course I did silly" Nicole said smiling
"Hell yes" Anna said smiling a little bit
"I missed you Anna Banana" Nicole said hugging Anna a little tighter and Anna just laughed at the nickname she was given when she was a baby, that she also hadn't been called in a long time
"I missed you too" Anna said hugging her aunt a little tighter, "hey we're gonna have a kick ass time while you're here" and Jason walked over by him
"Hey Anna" he said smiling and Anna gave him a hug, Anna always liked Jason, he was cool, a really good guy, and fucking hilarious and Anna could hear the guys trying their damnedest to hold back laughter, Anna turned around, looked at them, and spoke
"What's so funny" she said with a curious, small smile, and her hands on her hips and Billie spoke
"Okay I just gotta say it, 'Anna Banana'" and him and the guys cracked up laughing and even Anna laughed a little and spoke
"I've had that nickname since I was born, every adult I knew called me it, literally almost all of my teachers called me that, people used to call me a monkey child because I loves climbing on things and I use to love the monkey bars, so I guess it makes sense" and the guys were still laughing
"It's so cute and funny though" Billie said in between laughs
"Yeah, I've had plenty of nicknames through out the years, besides that one"
"Wait really" Billie said sounding surprised, "what are they" and Anna went down a listen
"Nanner, The Na, Nanner Boo, Monkey Child, Nanner bear, P Won, and don't even ask what any of those mean because I don't even fucking know" Anna said laughing a little and Mile spoke
"Damn, you have nicknames that are almost as weird as Tre" and Anna just laughed
"Yeah, those are all ones I got from my parents" she said smiling and Billie spoke
"We should probably head home and you guys are welcome to stay with us, we have room" he said looking at Nicole and Jason, so they headed back home and Nicole and Jason got situated, then Anna introduced them to Celia, so then the guys, Adrienne, Anna, Celia, Jason, and Nicole sat outside, talking for hours, telling stories, having fun, and Anna, the guys, Nicole, and Jason all had had a few smokes and a few beers, Nicole apologized about Ella, everyone got some form of clearity talking about, well and they explained what happened to Mike and Tre because they didn't know. The guys and Adrienne knew that Nicole actually wasn't that bad now that they actually got to see Anna and her interact, slowly one by one, everyone headed to bed, well Mike and Tre were spending the night, so it was only Anna, Celia, and Nicole left outside at like 1am and Nicole was talking to Anna about more personal stuff, while Celia was sitting on Anna's lap, just listening to the conversation, most of the stuff Nicole was asking Anna made Anna blush like crazy, since Celia was there, but it was dark out so her blush wasn't that noticeable, Nicole was mainly catching up with Anna because she hadn't seen her in a long time, asking her questions about the LGBTQ+ community, and talking to Anna about stuff that Anna would never talk to her mom about, and Nicole was telling Anna about her mom, but Nicole in other words was the cool aunt, the one that Anna could tell anything to, talk to about everything and anything, and also the aunt that would feed Anna as much booze and weed as she wanted when she was around. Anna was happy to have Nicole around, she felt comfortable around her, that she could talk to her about anything, no matter how bad, dirty, or good it was, she could drink, smoke, and just let go around her aunt. Nicole and Anna's mom were complete opposites, but at the same time oddly similar, Anna's mom was the more responsible, mature, restrained one and Nicole was the have fun, laid back, do whatever, stoner, drinker. Anna had fun with Nicole almost every time she would visit and usually there were no problems, eventually Celia spoke up
"I'm tired I'm gonna go to bed, love you loser" she said getting up and giving Anna a kiss
"Night dork" Anna said smiling, so it was just Anna and Nicole left and Nicole spoke
"C'mere Anna Banana" Nicole said patting her lap, so Anna went and sat on Nicole's lap, not facing her and Nicole tightly wrapped her arms around Anna and spoke
"I know your mom can't be here to hug you, but I am and never forget that I love you and your mom loves you so so much and always will" and it felt like her mom was hugging her and tears poured out of her eyes
" I miss her, I r-really fucking miss her" and Nicole just hugged her tighter
"I know baby, I know"
"I'm the reason she's gone" Anna sobbed and Nicole sighed and spoke
"Look at me kiddo" and Anna shook her head, still crying, she hated when people saw her cry
"Your mom was going through a really tough time, her mentally health hadn't been good for a while, I mean yeah she really missed you and wanted you back, she loved you more than you could ever know, she wished she could have you back, but she thought that you were happier without her, Ken didn't know how to help her, grandma's drinking got worse, and it was just too much, she was already half way there anyway, she knew you were happy and that's all she needed to know" and at this point Nicole was crying and she smiled at Anna and spoke
"But look at the bright side, she's hanging with Dan, Uncle Danny, Papa, Gigi, Linda, Juneata, and Frank, so she's happy and she's probably slow dancing to Home Sweet Home with Dan right now" all of those people were all family members or close family friends that had died and Anna's mom and Dan used to slow dance to Home Sweet Home down in the band room of Anna's childhood home, Dan also used to sing it a cappella
"She loves you and is always with you and I'm sorry for treating you so bad at the funeral"
"It's okay Coley" Anna basically whispered and Anna just rested against Nicole, closed her eyes, and let hot tears roll down her face until sleep took her, a few minutes later, after Nicole had stopped crying, she looked down and saw Anna asleep, she knew the kid was worn out, she had played a show, had a breakdown, and just cried her eyes out, so she was physically, mentally, and emotionally drained, Nicole felt tired herself and didn't want to wake Anna up, so she just rested her head on Anna's and feel asleep, believe me she's fallen asleep in way less comfortable places and positions before. So the next morning, Billie was the first one up and the first thing he did was look outside to make sure that everyone had come in last night, he saw Nicole and Anna passed out, he just laughed to himself a little bit, so he quietly went outside and shook Anna a little bit to wake her up
"Youngblood, wake up you passed out outside" he whispered and she woke up and as he was just about to shake Nicole a little bit to wake up up
"Don't" Anna whispered shouted with wide eyes
"Why" Billie whispered with a confused look on his face
"She has PTSD, if you scare her like that it won't be good, I'll wake her up" and Billie understood and backed off, then Anna lightly shook Nicole
"Hey Coley, wake up" she whispered, "we fell asleep outside" and Nicole woke up
"Morning Anna Banana" Nicole yawned, "morning Billie, sorry we fell asleep in your backyard" she said laughing a little
"It's fine, believe me it's happened many times before" Billie said laughing a little, then both Nicole and Anna got up and almost fell over, then headed inside, where Adrienne, Jason, and Celia sat at the kitchen table and Jason spoke
"Did y'all fall asleep outside"
"Yep" Anna and Nicole said at the same time, they both grabbed a cup of coffee and sat down, well Nicole sat in Jason's lap and Anna sat in Celia's lap, just then Billie noticed dried tear stains on Anna's face and he just gave her a smile to make sure she was okay and she just smiled back and spoke
"Damn Mike and Tre aren't up yet" she said laughing a little bit
"Nope, but I know how to wake them up, watch this" then Billie cupped his hands around his mouth, "COFFEE'S READY" he shouted across the house and not even five minutes later Mike and Tre were downstair and everyone was just laughing and Jason spoke
"Y'all are funny as shit and it's awesome" he said laughing
"That's usually how it goes around here" Billie said laughing a little, "so what should we do today"
"Beach day" Nicole suggested and that seemed like a good idea, so they all settled on that, so everyone went their separate ways to get ready, but Billie pulled Anna aside
"Youngblood, why'd you seem upset this morning"
"Me and Nicole were talking about my mom and we both were crying and yeah" and he just gave her a hug, then they went their separate ways to get ready, so once everyone was ready they headed to the beach and got situated, Anna was sitting on a beach towel, staring at the sand, zoned out, until Billie snapped her out of her daze when he sat down next to her and he spoke
"Whatcha thinking about Youngblood"
"'Bout some of the last conversations my mom and I had"
"Yeah, what about"
"Well the one I'm thinking about, there's somethings that I haven't told you about Dan, so after he died probably about a year and some change after he died when I was about three, I woke up one night and he was standing in my doorway, in spirit form, but he still looked like a normal person, little me didn't know how it was, but subconsciously I did and he waved at me, told me he loved me, to watch out for my dad, and that everything was gonna be okay and little me just waved at him, told him I loved him, that I would watch out for my dad, and said 'okay' to everything being okay and he was crying tears of joy because he was so happy to see me, then he walked through the house into my parents room and checked on them while they were asleep, then he would walk past my room, wave at me, then walk out the door and disappear, that was the first time he visited me, the second time, I was about 4 almost 5, before things started going south between my parents, again I woke up one night and he was standing in my doorway and he came to check on and make sure I was okay, then again, he walked into my parents room, checked on them, then walked past my room crying and little me asked him what was wrong and he said that he just wished my parents could be happy and I asked him what he meant by that and all he said was that I was strong and awesome, because I was my dad's kid, he told me he loved me, then walked out the door crying, because he knew what was going to happen to my parents, then disappeared, the last time he visited me I was probably about six and my dad had just put our dog down because he was sick, so I woke up and Dan was standing there in my doorway and he asked me if I wanted to know how my dog was doing and he told me, then he started crying and I asked him what was wrong and he told me that he loved me and my dad, that I probably wouldn't be able to see him again, but he would still visit, I just wouldn't be able to see him, that he would always watch over me and my dad, told me how much my dad loved me and I gave him an air hug, the last thing he said to me was "I love you sweetheart, now get some sleep" and he was smiling through tears, he didn't go check on my parents because I don't think I could bring himself to, then he walked out the door and disappeared, mind you I thought these were just dreams and didn't realize that they weren't or remember them for a long time" and Billie sat there with his jaw dropped
"Holy shit Youngblood, that's awesome and wait how the fuck could you have even seen him" Billie questioned
"Well in my family we have this sixth sense almost, I have it, my mom had it, and basically when we were young we could see people in the family, family friends, or pets that had died, but then once we got older it turns into being able to sense good energy and bad energy, sensing if someone we knew or a pet that had died was around or sensing if there was a bad spirit, like that's how I know Dan is and has been watching over me since he died, like an example would be, say you're playing a show, your dad could be standing watching you play your heart out on the side of the stage and you not even know it, like I can sense that there is always good energy at a show, anyone can, but I would be the person that senses something more" Anna explained
"Wow, that's really cool Youngblood"
"Yeah, also if you ever see me cry whenever I here Home Sweet Home, that's because Dan and my mom used to slow dance to it and Dan used to sing  a cappella to it and that was one of his absolute favorite Motley Crue songs, plus it's just an emotional song" and Anna started twitching, "I miss him" she said sighing and she kept twitching
"C'mere Youngblood" and he wrapped his arms around her so she would stop twitching
"I know you miss him, but hey he's probably hanging out with Chris Cornell right now, so I mean that's cool"
"Yeah" Anna said smiling a little, so a few minutes later she stopped twitching, so Nicole and Jason were sun bathing, Adrienne was reading, Mike and Tre were having a contest to see who could build a better sand castle, and Celia was just chilling
"Youngblood, go by Celia" Billie whispered to Anna, so she went over by Celia
"Hey dork" and Celia looked up at Anna and smiled
"Hi loser" Celia said smiling, wrapping her arms around Anna and laid back, then Anna spoke
"Got anything good in that cooler" and Nicole spoke
"Want a White Claw"
"Sure" and Nicole grabbed a White Claw out of the cooler and handed it to Anna
"These things barely do shit to me" Anna said cracking it open and Celia spoke
"There ain't no law when you're drinking the Claw"
"Where the fuck is that from" Billie said laughing and Anna spoke
"Well White Claw is super fucking popular in Wisconsin, so people would make jokes and say shit like that, and no there ain't no law" and she was laughing, after about drinking just about half the can, that's when the little buzzed feeling came over Anna, she felt a little bit warm and tingly, that's about all White Claw did to her, otherwise she was completely with it, she honestly didn't know how to feel emotion wise, she was surrounded by some of her favorite people, that she knew loved her, but at the same time she had Dan, her dad, and her mom on her mind, she was stuck in her head until Billie snapped her out of her daze, by waving a hand in front of her face
"Earth to Youngblood"
"Oh huh" she said looking at him and he just laughed a little at her and spoke
"Would you ever want me to teach you how to surf one day"
"Yeah and be like some Lords of Dogtown shit" she said smiling and Billie spoke
"I mean how good you are on a board, it'll probably be pretty easy for you" Anna nodded in agreement, then a random boxer ran up to Anna and started licking her face
"Hey buddy" and she pet it and noticed it didn't have a collar or any tags, then it went over by Nicole and licked her face, while she pet it, then it ran away down the beach and disappeared, Nicole and Anna both look at each in shock, but at the same time were smiling, and had sadness in their eyes and Nicole cried a little, then Jason asked her what was wrong
"That was Tiffany" and he looked at Anna who nodded at him, Anna's mom loved boxers and she always said that's what she would come back as, almost each family member or family pet that had died in Anna's family came back as some sort of animal or insect, it sounds really fucking bizarre but it's true, Anna was just in shock, they had been at the beach for a while, so by now the sun was starting to set and it was fucking beautiful, of course Anna got a picture of it. So they all headed home, relaxed, whatever, but Anna she was still trying to wrap her head around the fact that her mom visited her, she needed some peace, quiet, and comfort, so she threw on her Rev Rad hoodie the n snuck out onto the ledge and just sat there thinking, about ten minutes later Billie climbed out onto the ledge next to Anna
"Hey Youngblood" Billie said smiling
"Hi Billo" Anna said in a small voice
"Damn we haven't been out here in a while", Billie said in realization, "and you have your Rev Rad hoodie on, throwback" he said smiling, looking at Anna, who had a sad look on her face
"What's wrong Youngblood" Billie asked, turning so he was facing Anna and she spoke
"Just thinking about today" and Billie pulled her into a hug
"Why do your hugs make everything feel better" Anna asked, looking up at Billie and he spoke
"I don't know Youngblood, but I'm glad they do" he said smiling at her
"I just want sleep" Anna mumbled into Billie's shirt
"Then go sleep"
"But I could stay in one of your hugs forever" and Billie could feel Anna's breathing slow like she was falling asleep
"C'mon sleepyhead, we don't need you falling asleep out here" Billie let go of Anna, which resulted in a whine from Anna and Billie just laughed a little
"C'mon" he said climbing back in the window and Anna followed, then immediately flopped onto her bed, huddled under the blankets, and curled up in a ball
"You're so cute when you're tired" he said smiling and Anna just stuck her tongue out at him
"My point exactly" he said laughing a little and Anna was out like a light, so Billie just gave her a kiss on her forehead and whispered
"Night Youngblood" then quietly made his way downstairs, where he found Nicole and Jason passed out on one section of the couch, Celia passed out on another section and Adrienne passed out on another section, since it was a a good size sectional and it seemed that Mike and Tre were gone, so he covered everyone up, planted a small kiss on Adrienne's cheek, then headed to bed himself.
