Ch.8 Still Breathing

The next day Anna woke up around 7am and then sat on the balcony that connected to her room with her iPod and earbuds listening to music enjoying the peace until she heard a knock on her door
"Hey Anna can I come in"
"Yeah" Billie came into her room and sat down in the chair opposite to Anna on the balcony then he spoke
"So what do you think we should do today"
"I don't know maybe drive around, windows down,radio,CDs then go from there I would wanna see more of Oakland or California in general because I've never been here if that okay"
"I like your way of thinking and thats totally fine, sounds awesome, so do you wanna go in like 10 minutes"
"Sure"
"Okay then I'm gonna go get ready" then Billie left to get ready and Anna grabbed the CDs she wanted, so like every CD that Billie gave her and the one thing that made her fell good was leaving her phone behind and then she realized that she hasn't even touched in since she was back in Wisconsin and that just made her feel free. Then she went down stairs and waited for Billie then Adrienne sat down across from her and spoke
"Hey Anna can I talked to you about something, its nothing bad"
"Sure" then Adrienne lead Anna into the living room
"So what do you want to talk to me about"
"Well y'know how me and Billie both consider you family at this point"
"Yeah and it is the best feeling in the world"
"I'm glad and in my family every girl gets a special necklace when they become a teenager and its usually suits the girls style so I got you an necklace that I thought you like because you are family to us so I want that tradition with you because you're like a daughter to me in a way" then Adrienne opened a little black box and Anna saw the necklace it had a black chain and the charm was a silver barbbed wire heart and it was filled in black and spoke
"Oh my god it perfect I love it thank you" Anna then hugged Adrienne and when they pulled apart Adrienne put the necklace on Anna and at this point Anna was in tears of hapiness then Billie walked in
"Seriously evertime I leave the room then I come back and ether both or one of you are in tears'' Billie said jokingly
"Well we got emotions so yeah"
"Fair enough wanna go" now Anna was now 10x's more happier and jumped off the couch and spoke
"Hell yeah" this response made both Adrienne and Billie laugh
"Okay then lets go" then they were off they got in Billie's car and he asked what happened with Adrienne and she explained and showed him the necklace and his response was good
"Holy shit thats a super kick ass necklace"
"Yeah I guess Adrienne knows me well"
"I guess so, so what CD do you wanna listen to" Anna of course instantly knew the answer to that
"Ramones" so Billie popped the CD in and they both sang along to every song
"So were you thinking the city more or more like suburban areas"
"Maybe like both"
"Sounds cool"
"Could you show me some of your favorite places or some places you used to hang out"
"Sure I would love that, this means were gonna have some fun"
"Sweet" and of course Billie saved the best for last and they drove around the city first and got some coffee and by that time they were out of CDs and there was nothing good on the radio then Billie spoke
"Do you like music stores"
"Those places are my home away from home I love them"
"Then lets go I know a super cool one you would like" Anna was just about ready to flip because she loves, absolutley loves music stores, so they got there and walked in and Billie said hi to the guy behind the counter and Anna stood in awe for such a small music store in was, how many CDs and albums and posters and T-shirts there were
"See anything you like"
"This I swear is the best fricking music store I have ever been to holy shit"
"Yeah the dude who works here is my buddy so I get like whatever I want free so you can pick out as many things as you want" then Anna looked at Billie in astonishment then looked around the store
"Have at it" then Anna practically sprinted around the store and found every CD that was on her list and which was only like 9 CDs and she grabbed like every old band poster that she liked so she had like over ten like 12 posters and like 6 T-shirts and she completed the vinyl album collection of the first band that she ever fell in love with so like 3 vinyls and just as she was about to walk over to Billie she saw something in the corner of her eye, in was a poster and it had a framiliar logo and band members on it then she spoke
"Billie come looke at this"
"What is it"
"Y'know how my dad was in a band, well this is his band Tainted Perception and those are all his band memebers and him, I can't believe this poster ended up in a small music store in Oakland"
"Waoh thats really cool do you wanna get it"
"Sure" so they walked up to the counter ready to go and the dude gave Anna a questioning look then he spoke
"Dude who is this"
"A friend's kid I'm watching for a while that's all"
"Okay cool so this it" then Billie looked at Anna and she nodded then the dude gave them a bag to put all of the awesomeness she just got in and left and just as they stepped out of the store Anna tackled Billie in a hug repeating thank you over and over again, then he spoke
"No need to thank me I'm just glad you're happy thats all" he said smiling, then they got into the car and Billie spoke
"So did ya get any good CD's "
"Of course"
"Okay so what do you wanna listen to"
"Saints of Los Angeles by MotleyCrue and I think you will like it" so Billie popped in the CD and they listened to it, windows down and Anna just mouthing all the words and they both looked like they were on their way to kick someone's ass, so they drove around and Billie showed Anna some of his favorite places and places he used to hang out that looked awesome and listened to all the CD's that Anna got and Billie was impressed with all of them and Billie spoke
"Dang those CD's were fucking cool, you have a kick ass taste in music"
"I know"
"Oh really" Billie said laughing a little
"Yeah"
"So what should we do now that we ran out of CD's and we've driven like everywhere"
"I don't know go back home and watch some movie's or something does that sound good"
"Sure lets go" so then they went back to the house and everyone got popcorn and Coke and in some comfortable clothes and sat on the couch and then Billie spoke
"So Anna what movie do you want to watch"
"Would it be okay if we watched Ordinary World, I swear that has to be my favorite movie because of how happy it makes me"
"Sure that sounds good" so they turned Ordinary World on and at the first song Devil's Kind, Anna got up and started dancing which made both Adrienne and Billie laugh and smile then she sat down and watched the move laughing and making comments and quoting lines and just having a good time and when the song Ordinary World came on she sat and watched the screen so indepth and was just smiling and then the movie ended with them laughing then finally Billie spoke
"Its not that late we can watch another one, so what will it be"
''School of Rock'' and Billie spoke
''Nice choice'' so after the movie was over, Billie spoke
"Anna I wanna show you something come down in the studio with me"
"Okay" so Anna followed Billie into the studio and when they got down there he went and got the familiar guitar from the movie Ordinary World, it was the acoustic that was originally Billie's in the movie
"Remember this guy I used to practice Ordinary World so many times behind the scenes and I want you to have it and I'm gonna teach you Ordinary World and Good Ridance on it" Anna thought she was gonna explode
"Wait really a second guitar"
"Yeah I saw how happy that movie made you and I want you have so you can always be happy" Anna then got up and hugged Billie and told him thank you
"Of course now lets go" so Billie taught her how to play Ordinary World and Good Ridance then Anna spoke
"Whats its name"
"I named it Joey for some random reason"
"Thats a good name for it and wanna know something kinda funny"
"What"
"My English teacher loves Green Day so we talk in lyrics and she loves Good Ridance and she even stole my Green Day FAQ book one time and we just talk about old punk rock bands shes cool"
"Wow thats cool and she actually stole your book"
"Yeah and I even go to a Catholic school but I'm not religious and one time we were learning about blogs and she pulled up a blog called Hell Yeah Green Day and told me to write the url down openly in class"
"Really" Billie said laughing
"Yeah also can I show you something "
"Sure" so Anna got up and ran up to her room and grabbed her laptop when she came but down she opened up what she was going to show Billie then she spoke
"This is a creative writing story I did in English and it's called 'Look Back' and my idea was to take Green Day's and my story so far and combine them and I want you read it if you want"
"Of course I want to read it" so Billie read it and by the end of it he was in tears and sat the laptop and hugged Anna
"Y-You put that into a story perfectly and to actually read a desciption of what you have went through I have no words it's perfect"
"Thank you its okay you dont have to cry for me because of what I've been through"
"Well I care about you and you are like family and thats what family does so deal with" Billie said jokingly, wiping his eyes
"So I got some news but you can't tell anyone,okay"
"Okay"
"Well me, Mike,and Tre are working on a new album I we were talking before they left when they were here and we want you to play on it and listen to the songs and see what you think and you know how we are releasing a book on October 29 this year well we want to release the album on Halloween and I'll give you the very first copy of the book when it comes out so what so you say"
"I say hell yeah that sound fricking amazing oh my god yes"
"Sweet I'll tell the guys tomorrow"
"And you know whats ironic"
"What"
"I'm being you for Halloween from the American Idiot video"
"Ha really" Billie said laughing
"Well you'll get the CD too then when it comes out"
"Yay I can't wait"
"Yeah I'm just glad your happy"
"Well you make me happy so all is fair"
"I guess so we should probaly get some rest for tomorrow"
"Yeah"
"Billie hug" Billie hugged Anna and then spoke
"Night Anna"
"Night Billie"
Tomorrow is going to be awesome.
