Ch. 58 Youngblood

So Adrienne was the first to wake up the next morning and she saw Anna and Billie passed out together looking cute,so the first thing she did was take a picture and then she went and got the guys and Joan, who were already awake and they all saw Billie and Anna passed out and and Mike and Tre laughed and Joan thought it was cute Mike and Tre also took a picture of them, for blackmail and because it was cute,then Mike went on a coffee run and Adrienne also sent the picture to Scott who thought it was adorable and a little bit later they woke and Anna saw the picture of her and Billie passed out on the table next to the couch and she showed Billie and they both looked at Adrienne and she spoke
"What"
"When do you not have your camera with you"
"Never"
"Apparently"
"Yeah and it was too cute not to and the guys took pictures too"and Billie looked at the guys
"Really"
"What we need it for blackmail later"Mike said
"Fair enough"so they got up and grabbed there coffee and relaxed for a little bit and Billie saw Anna eyeing up the TV and spoke
"You wanna throw that thing out the window don't you"
"Maybe"
"Well I don't see why not"and the guys started laughing and Mike spoke
''Now you're gonna help the kid get kick out of hotels"
"Yeah its fun"and everyone was laughing and Adrienne grabbed her phone and started recording,so Anna and Billie got up and they both got the TV off the wall and walked over to the window and threw it out,well Anna used her good hand and then everyone started laughing and Joan gave her a high five and Billie spoke
"So how'd you like throwing your first TV outta a window"
"It was fun"and he just laughed
"Well at least you actually got it out the window,unlike Ordinary World"
"Yeah yeah'' and Billie bought plane tickets for back to Wisconsin,because he knew that some one was gonna tell them to get out,so they waited a while and someone knocked on the door and Billie got up and answered it,it was the manager of the hotel and he was holding back laughter,and he basically told them to get out and that they were banned from the hotel and left,so when Billie closed the door he started laughing and Anna was just jumping on the bed
"Well we're banned from the hotel so nothing new''so they packed up their stuff and on the why out Billie asked
"So how'd you like getting kick out of your first hotel"
"It was worth it"and he just smiled,so they got a ride to the airport and and had to wait a little while until they could board their plane because they got there early,so they waited and then like two hours later they boarded their flight and began their four hour flight to Wisconsin and Anna and Billie of course passed the time by listening to music and four hours went fast,so they landed in Wisconsin and got off their flight and headed to Scott's and it was a Thursday so he was at work,so everyone got situated and settled and stuff and Anna's phone rang a little bit later,it was her dad
"Hi dad"
"Kiddo did you and Billie throw a TV outta hotel window"
"Maybe"and her dad started laughing
"Well good job and did you pass out next to Billie looking cute"
"Yeah and I'm guessing Adrienne sent you that picture"
"Yeah and I love you kiddo I gotta go bye"
"Love you too bye"so he hung up and she went over by Adrienne and spoke
"Did you send my dad a video of me and Billie throwing the TV out the window and me and Billie passed out"
"Maybe"she said smiling
"Fair enough"and so everyone just relaxed and hung out and played with little Billie and stuff like that,then the door bell rang and Billie answered it and he grabbed something and came back in and Anna spoke
"What'd ya order"
"You'll see"so Billie opened up the box and Anna saw it was two silicone wristbands and one was black with purple print on it and the inside was purple,and the other one was black with light blue print on it and the inside was light blue and Billie handed the purple one to Anna and she saw what it said it said 'Youngblood' and she looked at Billie and he smiled and she gave him and hug and he showed her his and his said 'Billo' and Anna put her's on under her wristband and so did Billie
'You actually got wristbands with our nicknames on them"and Billie nodded and she gave him a hug and Anna was smiling like an idiot and Billie was smiling that Anna was happy and they showed everyone and they thought it was sweet and Anna couldn't stop smiling and that made everyone happy and she spoke
"I'm never taking this off"and that made Billie smile to hear that and he had a surprise planned for the show that they were playing tonight and he spoke
"So who's up for practicing"and they all agreed and Billie told Anna while they were making a list of songs that any song that reminded her of McKinely to pick it and thats what she did

And they didn't care how long the list was they were gonna play every song on that list with passion and heart and pure rock'n'roll and Anna still didn't know where they were playing tonight
"So where are we playing"
"You'll see"and she knew Billie had something planned,so they practiced until they had to leave,well Anna sang and stuff,so when it was time to leave,they packed up and started driving and they pulled up to McKinley and Anna almost lost her shit to see it still standing
"Billie how the fuck what the fuck oh my god its still standing"
"Yeah I had them push the demolition date for future purposes"he said smiling and Anna practically jumped out of the car and then she saw stuff set up on the roof of the gym that was connected to the school and she almost lost it again
"We're playing on the fucking roof holy shit"
"Yeah I sprung for the best"and he gave her a hug, so thank god Scott was there because they had to hop a fence and climb onto a smaller roof to then jump onto the roof they were playing on and he spoke
"I think we should just get a ladder"
'Yeah no shit"Anna said, so Scott found a ladder and put it up aganist the building and this show was a free show technically because you could always get in one way or another and their manager got the word out,so they first did a soundcheck and then just sat up on a kinda little hidden away roof and waited for people to show up and Billie poked his head out to see how many people came and he was astonished at how many people he saw and smiled and tapped Anna on the shoulder and she looked and saw how many people were there and she was in shock and smiling like there were people that started at the building all the way to the end of the block and she gave Billie a hug so they relaxed for a few minutes and then they grabbed their guitars,well not Anna and got onto the stage they were playing and everyone stood in front of their mic and Billie spoke
"How the hell you doin tonight Tosa"and the crowd cheered
"Well one of our own Anna these are her old stomping grounds and I know I know that the city is gonna demolish it but I pushed the date and we have a surprise in store in the future for this place and anyone who knows the address 2424 91st a block away go vandilize it if you want alright lets go crazy"so they jumped into I Was There and played through the list and Anna spoke
"And the address Billie was talking about that is my dead grandma's house and so you can go wreck it"so they played and when King for a Day hit Anna spoke
"I don't give one single fuck who in Tosa hears this but I'm gay and genderfluid and I back every single person in the LGBTQ community and I love you an djust for a fair warning Billie will not keep it PG-13"and Billie just laughed and smiled and didn't keep it PG-13 as usual and so they played through the list and Anna sang with pure raw emotion during Jesus of Suburbia and so they played through and when 21st Century Breakdown hit she spoke
"Raised by the bastards of 1969 is fucking right"so they played through and when 99 Revolutions hit she spoke
"I remember one time I came back to my grandma's house and she locked me out of the house and this song came on, on my phone and just said fuck it and I started dancing"and Billie just smiled and laughed and then she had an idea and spoke
"I wanna do something and I need a favor from the crowd,personal space first of all and I want the crowd the crowd surf me over to the playground alright do you trust me because I trust you"and the she got cheers back in response
"Alright"so she kept singing and then did a running jump of the roof in the crowd and they caught her and they crowd surfed her over to the playground and next thing she knew was that she was standing on the playground singing looking at Billie back on the roof and when Still Breathing hit she spoke
"I remember I used to walk around these blocks and try to recreate this music video"and she saw Billie laugh,so then Youngblood hit and Billie of course changed up the lyrics
"Anna's my little Youngblood"and in response to that she held up her wrist that had her bracelet and wristband on and so did Billie,so they played Back in the USA and so then they had a little pause between singing Green Day songs and singing Joan's songs and Anna looked in the crowd by the playground and saw a familiar face,it was her childhood friend,Celia and she spoke
"Hey someone get that kid up here"and so some one got her up there and she went by Anna and she spoke
"This ladies and gentlemen is my childhood friend Celia who I probaly haven't seen in three holy shit three years"and she gave Celia a hug
"Man I missed you, you're hanging out with us after the show and I will not take no as an answer"and her friend agreed
"Alright crowd surf us back to the roof"and so Anna held her friend's hand and they jumped into the crowd,who crowd surfed them back by the roof and then Billie and Joan helped Anna and Celia up and Billie gave Anna a hug and said hi to Celia and so did the guys and Billie even gave her a hug and then Anna walked Celia over by Joan and spoke
"Celia this is Joan Jett"
"Oh wow this is who you went and saw"
"Well got to play with"and Joan said hi to her and stuff and then Anna had her mic and spoke
"Alright Celia you're gonna hear some Joan Jett"so then they jumped into Bad Reputation and Anna spoke
"My bad reputation began right fucking here and I could be happier"so they play through and at the end Anna spoke again
"FUCK YOU MARIE"and Billie gave her a hug and stuff so then he spoke
"Ladies and gentlemen give it up for Anna she has survived hell and back and not being able to play for eight weeks,still is and I made this show happen here so we could celebrate us winning the Billboard Music Award for Best Rock Album of the year and Anna and her dad Scott are the ones who made it possible and me,the guys,Joan and my wife love 'em to death thank you and goodnight"and then Anna tackled him with a hug so then everyone went on the hidden away roof and relaxed there and cooled down and stuff and everyone caught Celia up on what has happened in the past three years and Anna was greatful to have her very first childhood friend back and Anna and Celia told them about their fun times together as small kids and Billie was smiling and happy that Anna was happy,so they waited until everyone was cleared out and Billie spoke
"So ice cream"
"Yep"so everyone headed over to Baskin Robbins and got ice cream,then went and sat up on the roof of the church and hung out,talked and ate their ice cream and Celia gave Anna her number and eventually she made her way back to her house and stuff so now it was just everyone and everyone headed back to Scott's except Billie and Anna and they just walked around,since the sun was starting to go down so the town was starting to light up,and Anna was happy with tonight's show and seeing her friend again and Billie was just happy that she was happy and smiling and he was so proud of how far she had come over the past month or two,so he just pulled her into a hug and was smiling and Anna spoke
"Huh"
"Nothing I'm just so proud of you and I love you little Youngblood" he said looking down at her smiling
"Thanks and I love you too Billo"and he just kinda laughed a little and they let go and Billie held Anna's wristband hand in his and was just smiling like an idiot, and so was Anna but she also knew something was up
"Huh"

"Please"and Anna flashed her sad puppy dog eyes at Billie
"Why do you have to be so adorable,fine I'll tell you"and Anna just shrugged her shoulders
"Well since I put off the demolishion date for McKinley since I wanted to play a show there,and I also did that because me,you,and the guys are gonna shoot the music video there for St.Insomnia"and Anna was so happy,and she tackled Billie with a hug and also was in shock
"And when they tear down the original school and they build a new school,its gonna have a kick ass music program and its gonna have a bigger and even more awesome playground and one whole side of the gym will be spray painted similar to what your buddies did at the skatepark and there will be a skatepark built next to the playground and your dad is gonna teach there for the music program"and Anna did not know how to process all of that so she just hugged Billie instead and was smiling like crazy and spoke
"You are the best fucking person ever I swear, all of that means more real kids,more kids skating,more kids learning music,a kick ass new building,and my dad gets to quit his shitty job,and you got the city of fucking Wauwatosa to push a fucking demolishion date,and fund all of this my god you are the best"
"Yeah yeah oh and the skate park is gonna have the Braille design on in" and Anna was in shock and spoke
"How did you what the how"
"Your dad told me that you love Braille Skateboarding"and she gave him a hug

"Um look who's talking and maybe you might get to meet the Braille team next time we're in California"and Anna thought she was gonna loose her mind
"Wait wait what I might get to meet Braille holy shit Billie I love you"and he was smiling a laughing that she was happy
"Yeah love you too Youngblood"so they walked around for a little bit more and stuff then headed back to Scott's and Anna was buzzing with excitement to tell her dad about his new job,so she ran in the house at full speed and found her dad in the living room chilling,on his phone and tackled him in a hug
"Hey kiddo whats up"
"You get to quit your shitty job"
"Wait what"
"Billie pushed the demolishion date for McKinley so we could play a show there and film the music video for St.Insomnia there soon and when they tear down the school and build a new one its gonna have an awesome music program,a playground like when you were a kid,one side of the gym wall outside spray painted,a skatepark built next to the playground and you're gonna teach there for the music program"and Scott's face was priceless,and he got up and gave Billie a hug and when he let go he was in tears of joy and spoke
"Billie dude I think that is the best news I've heard in years thank you"
"Of course,Anna gave me run down on the school and your job and I know you and her love skateboarding and music and since you told me that she loves Braille the skatepark is gonna have the Braille design on it"
"That is the coolest fucking thing ever"
"Yeah and it was also kinda a plan to bring more real kids out"
"Smart"so then they chilled for a while and then someone tried to call Anna and it was a number she didn't recognize but has seen it before and so she went by her dad and asked him if he knew who's number it was and he punched it up on his phone and he spoke
"Fuck kiddo its Jenny"
"Great what does that bitch want"
"I don't know,but don't worry about it,anyway I gotta do some running I'll be back later"
"K bye"and her dad left and once he was gone she sat down on the floor with her knees pulled up to her chest and her head was resting on them and she sighed,so Billie went over by her and sat down next to her
"Whats wrong"
"What you guys don't know is that when my grandma was still alive she tried to call me once and left three voicemails that were just backround noise and it was after my dad and I cut her off and now that she's dead I think Jenny figured it out and is doing that shit because she's a mini Marie and she's done that one other time"and now her eyes were glossy with tears
"I don't need to deal with her crap and nether does my dad I cut their crap off the second I walked out the house the last day I saw her"and she now had tears rolling down her face and Billie gave her a hug
"Its okay we'll take care of it and why didn't you tell your dad"

"I just wasn't raised like that,and that was my mom's influence I thought and knew not everything was gonna be handed to me and nothing was handed to my parents so thats what I conditioned myself to think like that so I was thought I just I had to deal with any problems that I had on my own and"she stopped herself because she realized something and her eyes went wide
"Holy shit I never wanted to get help because I thought I always had to deal with stuff on my own because thats what I grew up around oh my god thats why I thought it would make me weak to ask or get help I never knew anything else about dealing with problems then that holy shit I never realized that before"and Billie didn't know if that was good or bad

"Hello"and it was a kid's voice,and Anna knew that voice,it was her cousin Sarah, so she took the phone from Billie and spoke
"Hi Sarah"
"Anna is that you"
"Yeah its me Sarah is your mom there"

"Can you give her the phone I need to talk to her just don't tell her its me okay"

"Bye Sarah"so they heard shuffleing in the backround and Anna handed her phone to Billie and they heard another voice
"Hello"and Billie spoke
"Hi do you know who the band Green Day is"
"Yes and who am I speaking to"
"You are speaking to the lead singer of Green Day and do you have a niece named Anna'
"Yes why"
"Well stop calling her number and never contact her or her dad ever again and stop being like Marie and also go look up Anna Kushner and Green Day and if you ever call this number again we will report it to the police so I suggest if you don't wanna pay a fine,and be able to surrport that little girl of yours I would never call this number again or Scott's got it"
"Um yes I will,is Anna there"and Billie looked at Anna who nodded her head

"Can I talk to her"and Anna nodded

"I want you to know that I absolutely feel terrible for you that you turned out like you dad and I guess you're kicking it with Laurie talk about disrespecting grandma"and Anna had a plan to hide Sarah from her family's craziness
"Okay before I talk to you anymore send Sarah to her room so she doesn't hear any of this if you're an actually good parent"and she heard shuffeling in the backround and faint voices and her aunt came back
"Okay she's in her room"and Anna just let fucking loose
"That bitch that you fucking called your mother I know that she sent you to a mental hospital and you came out a fucking alcoholic at fucking 14 and you became drinking buddies with the bitch and while she was abusing Laurie and locking her in the basement and you tried to fucking drink a bottle of fucking hydrogen poroxide and tylenol before you were around hell when you were around your bitch of a mother abused your siblings so fucking much and they were the smart ones to get away same with me and I guess stupidity runs in the family and why the hell do you think me and my dad stopped coming to fucking holidays and got fucking blamed for them because you and Marie would try and cause shit and when we did show up we had to listen to you and her body shame your own fucking kid and I still went over there for some shit just because I wanted to make sure Sarah wasn't sad hell that one Easter that the bitch blamed my dad for ruining my Easter actually he was having an emergency root cannal and I was over by my bitch of a mother's side of the family getting beat up and disowned and verbal and emotionally attacked and I yet put up with all of that and yet came over there so I made Sarah had a good fucking Easter and yet sat through you guys trashing my dad and boby shaming Sarah and no one cared to fucking call my mom to pick me up just so you could pull some shit and see your old bastard of a dad again and Halloween I walk in the fucking house and i hear you and her making plans to actually blame shit on us seriously and no you figured out she was trying to call me and shit and now you're gonna go be like her and do that, I every god damn day used to hear how bad,stupid,worthless,and terrible along with my dad and Laurie, who i just met for the first time in my entire life do you know how fucked up that is because since I've been seven all I've heard is how bad Laurie is, no wonder the fucking court wanted to award her with you and my dad when the bitch tried to get grandpa's pention thats how fucking bad they were abused between Laurie and my dad I have heard plenty about you and the bitch to know that you two were a waste of oxygen when she used to pick me up from school all I heard was I'm never gonna amount to anything in life,nether is my dad I'm Scott's kid so I'm a bad person,that he's a terrible day,that pursuing a career in music is the stupidiest thing ever, me and my dad have no fucking self-esteem left because of that bitch,do you know that she is one of the reasons I fucking cut yeah news flash I'm not perfect even though I'm related to Marie,well the last name Kushner can burn in fucking hell along with you and I feel so bad for Sarah that you're her mom,that kid's life is gonna be hell and I know it and I'm glad and proud I turned out like my dad and Laurie because we are the real ones and they didn't abuse their kids and drink like a fish and smoke like chimney I have done with enough fucking shit in my life at other 14 and guess what I only have two fucking bological family members left that I didn't cut off and guess who the fuck it is, its your siblings because they aren't crazy and dysfucntional and I hate you never call me or my dad again and fuck you"and Anna hung up and whipped her phone across the room with so much force she broke it and when she looked up everyone had tears running down their face with their hand over their mouth,and she just fucking broke down and started crying so badly and shaking and Billie pulled her into his arms and she still was kinda in the shape of a ball with her knees brought up her chest and her head on them and he was crying too and he just rubbed her back and helped her take deep breathes and hummed to calm her down even though he was crying himself and Adrienne even got up and was hugging Anna to and tried to help her calm down and Mike,Tre,and Joan were still sitting there with tears running down their face watching Billie and Adrienne trying to calm down Anna who was having a full on breakdown and probaly on the verge of an asthma attack and it was heartbreaking,they were also crying because just hearing what Jenny said to her and all the stuff Anna said back,that was fucked up to come out of a 14 year olds's mouth,so Joan got up and went and got little Billie and set him next to Anna and crouched down in front of her and gave her a hug and spoke
"Its okay they can't do anything to you anymore"and she went and sat back down next to the guys,and Anna was just in a ball of basically tears almost and Billie was holding her in his arms hugging her trying to calm her down but he also knew her being Scott's kid keeps a lot of stuff bottled up, so he was hugging her and she was crying non-stop on his shirt but he didn't care and Adrienne was rubbing her back to trying and calm her down,and eventually after probaly 5-15 minutes of that she finally calmed down and everyone was relived so everyone just got in comfy clothes and Billie and Anna sat on the couch and everyone sat near tehm but gave them space and Billie wrapped the fluffy blanket around him and Anna and held Anna's wristband hand in his so she was okay and Adrienne made hot cocoa for everyone and they watched Ordinary World and Anna's eyes were still red and puffy and she sniffled from time to time,until by the part in the movie that Billie sings Ordinary World,she passed out so Billie was still wrapped up in the blanket to and he didn't want to wake her up so he as quietly as he could,got up and wrapped the reast of the fluffy blanket around her and laid her down because she passed out sitting up,which is not comfortable,and everyone went outside to talk so Anna didn't wake up and when they got out there god there were waterworks all around,because everyone was holding back tears since Anna calmed down,so once everyone got themselves together they all sat down on the porch and Billie spoke
"God I think everything she has said since she found out it was her aunt's number has been the most fucked up thing I've heard her say"and everyone agreed, no one knew the history with her dad's family that well only to a point and apparently Anna only knew not even half of it so that scared the living crap out of everyone,because just what she said alone for a 14 year old to even know and say,damn, and also having a family that fucked up and being even allowed around them just wow,and Scott wasn't home yet thank fucking god
"What are we gonna tell Scott, he's gonna notice this shit"
"Well she didn't y'know again and he knows she has breakdowns sometimes and has had breakdowns, so I think telling him would be fine and plus if he knows it stemed from Jenny he'll understand"and everyone agreed,so Scott didn't come back but he called Billie and told him that he was by Laurie and not to worry,so everyone went in and passed out and Billie slept right next to Anna to make sure she was okay.
