Ch.25 21st Century Breakdown

The next day Anna woke up first and saw a passed out Billie on the couch and she smiled and looked down at little Billie who was still asleep and so she quietly grabbed her iPod and climbed out the window and went on the little ledge and sat and listen to music and enjoyed the peace for a half an hour then she climbed back into her room where Billie was sitting up petting little Billie and spoke
"Its nice out there isn't it" he said smiling
"Yeah, I just went out there to have a little quiet and so I didn't wake you up" she said setting her iPod down, sitting next to Billie and petting little Billie and she spoke
"Y'know there was this one kid in class who trashed me for having an iPod and CDs and saying that I was not cool because I had that stuff and I just laughed in his face and said, 'If that doesn't make me cool so be it and I don't wanna be cool and I'm never gonna be cool.', he looked at me like he saw a ghost and I just laughed"and Billie started laughing
"Damn, kids are THAT caught up in pop culture and the trends today?"
"Yeah I literally say that I was born in the wrong generation and me saying that confused the hell outta every kid in my class and I just laughed"
"I could tell from the moment I met you that you didn't fit in today's world or trends and you're actually real, like how you dress, act and what you like and the mind set you have"
"Yeah I know but I never want to be associated with those fake pop culture stereo type hypocrite, kids anyway" and that response earned Anna a hug from Billie
"That is exactly what I think when people say that Green Day is pop punk and I'm like its punk rock and those two words should not be anywhere near each other"
"I know I'm like, excuse me but Joey Ramone from the fricking Ramones asked Billie Joe Armstrong for an autograph,that is what I say when ever I hear some say that Green Day is pop punk, but I came up with a solution"
"Nice and what" Billie asked smiling
"They should call it Alternative Punk instead of pop punk, so everyone is happy"
""Dang that's actually a really good idea"
"I know" Anna said smiling
"Okay, Miss know it all want some coffee?", he said smiling
"Sure", Anna responded, so they headed downstairs with little Billie, where Adrienne was and had coffee made, and Anna sat little Billie down next to Billie for puppy emotional support and Adrienne pulled her aside and spoke
"Your dad left a note saying he left again and I think that he is just leaving so you can spend as much time as possible with Billie before you guys leave", Anna smiled in response,
"That sounds like something he would do", they headed back in the kitchen and Adrienne gave Billie and Anna both a cup of coffee and Anna spoke,
"So Billie are you up for jamming today?"
"Of course", he said smiling and Adrienne smiled at Billie's happy tone,
"Okay", so they drank their coffee, pet little Billie for a bit. Then headed down to the studio, where Billie grabbed Blue and Anna grabbed Frankie, then jumped into Longview and played most of Dookie then jumped into the new album and about half way through it Billie started crying and stopped playing and fell to his knees, sobbing and shaking and Anna immediately put Frankie down and ran over to Billie and hugged him and felt him shaking and he wouldn't stop
"Fuck- ADRIENNE", she yelled Adrienne, came running down the stairs to find Billie shaking and crying,
"Oh my god Billie- what happened?",
"We were playing and he started crying, stopped playing, fell to the ground and started shaking and sobbing"
"What do we do?", Adrienne said with the most concerned face,
"Just get him on the couch" so they helped a shaking, sobbing Billie over to the couch and Anna sat on one side of him with Adrienne on the other and Anna spoke,
"Got get tissues, a really soft, fluffy blanket, and hot cocoa", Adrienne just nodded and headed upstairs to get what Anna told her to and came back down as quick as she could with everything, then handed Anna the box of tissues and the blanket and set two cups of hot cocoa on the table in front of them and she just sat down to see what Anna was gonna do,so Anna put the blanket around her and Billie and hugged him and he slowly stopped shaking and his breathing slowly went back to normal and he wouldn't let go of Anna and after a while after Billie was physically okay Adrienne went back upstairs so Anna could be alone with Billie and Anna knew that Billie wasn't gonna let her go and she finally turned to Billie who stil had tears rolling down his face
"Hey its okay I'm right here and I'm gonna make sure we have and awesome time and that you're okay"and she started getting choked up at seeing Billie and he just flashed a small smile and still in Billie's grip managed to grab a cup of hot cocoa and hand it to him,which he took and drank slowly and just smiled and kept hugging Anna and for the life of him and would not let go and it killed her to see Billie like how she had been only a few months ago, but she had no one to cuddle and drink hot cocoa with,so she knew that she was gonna have to cheer Billie up as much as possible, so they sat there for hours just hugging and drinking hot cocoa and Anna spoke
"I know you're sad but,hey we're gonna have a kick ass time" and she finally had to say it
"It kills me to see you like this and I want to make you happy so we can have a kick ass time,and it hurts,you didn't hurt me just seeing you hurt did" and she started crying a little
"Okay you have to promise me something"
"Huh"
"You have to promise me that not matter how much you miss me you call me and that we're gonna have a kick ass time and be happy" and Billie nodded and then spoke
"I love you so much and I promise but what I hate about this is that I just feel so sensitive"
"Yeah it sucks but in the long run it helps,and could you let you go a bit,too tight"she said smiling and Billie started laughing
"Yeah,sorry"he said laughing
"Its okay,so what should we do tomorrow"
"Well I could show you around some more and take you some really cool places"
"There's the Billie I know and love and that sounds cool, do you wanna go upstairs so Adrienne knows you're okay and play with little Billie" and Billie just smiled and nodded his head,and Billie finally let go of Anna so they could get up,so they grabbed the two empty cups of hot cocoa and with the blanket still around the both of them, hold each other's wristband hand, they walked upstairs and went into the kitchen where Adrienne was sitting and petting little Billie and when she saw them she smiled so they sat down next to her and Anna spoke
"He's good now,just remember what I told you" and Adrienne nodded and smiled
"Soo should we go out side and play with little Billie"and they all agreed and headed outside and brought a ball out for little Billie and laid the blanket down on the ground and Anna got up and started running and little Billie chased her,then Billie got up and little Billie chased the both of them and Billie wasn't watching where he was going and he ended up running and landing in the pool and little Billie jumped in the pool with them,and so they all died laughing and Anna then got a running start and did and canonnball into the pool and Adrienne was still sitting on the blanket,laughing and then threw the ball in the pool for little Billie and he swam over and got it and she got up and turned some music on, so they just played and swam in the pool for a while and listened to music and had fun and the second they got out of the pool Billie spoke
"Ice cream ?" and Anna and Adrienne just laughed and said yes,so once Anna and Billie were changed into dry clothes,they headed to Baskin Robins and brought along little Billie and Adrienne ordered, she got rocky road, Billie got mint ship as usual, Anna got some random blue rasberry flavored ice cream that made her tounge blue and little Billie got his usual dish of vanilla so after they ate there ice cream Anna spoke
"Look my tougne is the color of Tre's hair" and Billie and Adrienne laughed to death,why idk,then Billie spoke
"Um there is this cool music store besides the one I took you to, that I think you would like"
"That sounds good,can we walk there"
"Yeah its walking distance" so they walked to the music store and when they got there Anna read the sign and the place was called Amoeba Music, so her and Billie walked in,Adrienne stayed outside with little Billie and Anna was astonished at how big it was and how much was in it,and it was definetly bigger then the music store Billie took her to and she had to admitt it was pretty fucking cool
"Wow this place is cool as heck"
"Yeah I've been coming here since,I don't even know when"
"Wanna look"Billie asked smiling
"Of course" so they walked around for a bit and got some posters and stuff they thought was cool and they paid and left and went by Adrienne and little Billie
"Get anything good" Adrienne asked smiling
"Yeah" and Anna remembered a joke that her dad said one time that she knew would make Billie laugh
"Billie, y'know what we have in common"
"What"
"We both get to check out girls" and she started dying laughing herself and Billie looked kinda scared at what Adrienne's reaction would be but she just cracked up laughing and spoke
"Nice one" then Billie started laughing knowing he wasn't gonna get yelled at or something
"My dad said that to me after I told him I was gay" so after they were done laughing,they headed back home and Billie,Anna and little Billie laid in the grass on a blanket just listening to music and petting and playing with little Billie and just had a nice time enjoying taking it easy for hours and then Billie spoke
"So tomorrow I was thinking we could go to the state fair because it starts tomorrow and I thought it would be a lot of fun,what do you think"he said smiling
"That sounds awesome,we have a really cool big one in Milwaukee, and when you guys visit we could go to that one too, because two is better than one" she said smiling
"Good,and yeah that sounds like fun" Billie said in a slighty sad tone and Anna noticed
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to mention it" she said giving Billie a hug
"No it's fine,but I know we're gonna have fun at both" and they held each other's wristband hand and by now it was dark so they gazed up at the stars for hours and accidently passed out on the blanket with little Billie cruled up between them,but who's complaing.
