Ch.59 Past Life

So eveyone was still pretty shook up from last night,which is understandable,and clearly they were gonna hold of on the St.Insomnia music video and Billie was the first to wake up and saw Anna's phone that was smashed on the floor,so he picked in up and it couldn't be saved with how smashed up it was,and he threw it away and then went on a coffee run and took little Billie on a walk,so when he got back he left a note for everyone and headed out to the nearest Apple Store at the mall and it was dead that day so he would get that much attention,so he went in the store and of course he got looks but he was kinda used to it,so he knew that Anna felt guilty if she had like super nice things and stuff along those lines and stuff so he picked out an iPhone, an older one but not super old because she hates technology to a certain point, she loves simplisidy,like him so he went to the counter and paid for it and then had someone turn it on and all that stuff, so he looked around a little bit and found a phone case that was perfect for her and paid and left the store and just for the heck of it he went up to Hot Topic to see if he could get something for Anna to cheer her up and the person at the counter's face was priceless and they whisper shouted
"Oh my god Billie Joe Armstrong is in Hot Topic"and Billie just smiled
"Yeah um do you have any Green Day hoodies"
"Yeah two are from the Revolution Radio tour and one is a Dookie one but yeah"
"Okay cool where are they"and the guy pointed at where they were
"Thanks"
"Yep let me know if you need help with anything else"
"Okay"so Billie walked over by where the guys pointed and found them,one was a Green Day Revolution Radio Dynamite Hoodie and the other one was just an Green Day Revolution Radio Hoodie,so Billie gabbed the dynamite one because he figured that Anna would like that one,and he got it in a larger size so it was baggy and comfy,because baggy hoodies are the best,so he also looked around and stuff,so he went back by the counter and checked out and after he paid the dude spoke
"Um can I get a picture"
"Sure"so the dude pulled out his phone and took a picture with Billie
"Thanks"
"Yep"and he left and headed back to Scott's and everyone was up and Scott still wasn't home and Anna was sitting on the couch with the fluffy blanket still wrapped around her,and had a cup of coffee in her hand and little Billie was laying next to her and she was zoned out so she didn't even notice Billie sit down next to her until he spoke
"Hey"
"Hi"she said in a small voice and he gave her a hug and then pulled out the hoodie
"To cheer you up I went to Hot Topic and got you a comfy Rev Red hoodie"and Anna took it and put it on and Billie was right it was comfy and she loved it and Billie smiled because of how small she looked in it and he thought it was cute
"And I went to Apple and got you a new phone and I know you'll love the phone case"and he pulled it out and handed it to Anna and the phone case was a Retro Black Cassette Tape and the label on it said 90's Punk Rock and she loved it and gave Billie a hug

"So what are we gonna do when my dad shows up"
"Well do you want us to tell him"
"Um could we just tell him that we're pretty sure we took care of it and is he asks then tell me the rest"
"That sounds good"and they all knew since Anna had a breakdown that bad she would be sensitive and Billie remembered that they were gonna shoot the music video for St.Insomnia tomorrow but he didn't know if Anna wanted to
"Um tomorrow we're gonna shoot the music video for St.Insomnia are you up for that"and Anna just nodded,and Anna remembered
"Oh wait how long has it been since I broke my wrist"and Billie thought about it
"About nine weeks"
"Oh sweet do you thinkI could get my cast off and play"
"I don't see why not since its been over eight weeks"
"Sweet lets go to Urgent Care"so it was just Billie and Anna this time,so they headed over to Urgent Care and checked in blah blah blah,anyway they got the same nurse

"No I just wanna get my cast off since its been nine weeks"
"Okay"so the nurse took her cast off but before she did Anna grabbed the Rev Rad sticker and she took it off and told Anna to move it in different ways and stuff and it was a tiny bit sore but fine otherwise so they did more x-rays and her wrist was fully healed and that made her smile to death and that made Billie happy
"Wait does this mean I can play again"
"Yes"
"Oh thank god we have to shoot a music video tomorrow"
"Okay then just move it a little and be careful for the rest of the day and if its bothering you ice it"

"Of course"and Billie gave the nurse tickets to their next show in Wisconsin and she gave him a hug and they left and headed back to Scott's and Anna walked in the house smiling
"I'm a free man"and everyone smiled at the fact she was even smiling and because they knew she loved to play and those nine weeks almost killed her and Billie spoke
"So what do you wanna do now"
"Go skate"
"Sounds good to me who's in"and Mike and Tre were in,so Anna rode her newer regular board,Billie rode Scott's,Mike rode Billie's and Tre rode Anna's Redline Bmx bike and they headed to the skatepark and skated around and stuff and hung out and had a good time and of course went and got ice cream and so pretty much they had a good time at the skatepark and stuff then headed back to Scott's and when they got there both Joan and Adrienne had upset,concerned looks on their face and Billie spoke
"Why do you guys look upset"and Adrienne sighed and spoke
"Scott came back home and he saw Anna's smashed phone and he was asking questions and stuff and we knew that since it was about Jenny he would understand and we told him what happened and he flipped out and lost it, none of it was directed at us but he was just really angry that Jenny said that stuff and that it made Anna have a breakdown and so he called Laurie and stormed out and I don't know what he's gonna do but it can't be anything good"and Anna was really upset
"Fuck he's gonna do some shit I know he is,god"and she had tears running down her face,she knew what to do,she pulled out her phone and called Laurie
"Aunt Laurie what shit is my dad gonna pull"
"He called me and told me what happened and he said he was gonna take care of it,so I'm guessing he probally got Jenny's address"
"Oh fuck okay thanks"and she hung up and spoke fighting tears

"We have to get up to her house this isn't gonna end well"and Billie spoke
"What how are you gonna get her address"
"I have an idea,all my grandma did was brag about me at work and everyone thought I was adorable when she brought me in there one time,so I bet I can get a favor since she used to work for Tosa PD,so lets go"so everyone got in the car and drove over to the Wauwatosa Police Station,and just Anna and Joan went in and everyone else waited,and she went up to the desk sargent

"No problem"so the desk sargent went over to his computer and wrote something down on a slip of paper and handed it to Anna

"Thank you"and they left and when they went back outside Joan high fived Anna

"Yeah"and they went back over by everyone

"Yep"and Joan spoke
"I swear that was the most slick thing I've ever seen anyone do"

"I said that who's grandaughter I was and they said they would help me so I told them that I wanted to surprise my aunt with a visit from Joan because she's a huge fan and do to some mishaps I don't have her address and he gave it to me"

"Yeah,lets go so we can stop whatever shit he's doing"and everyone agreed so the looked up the address and got directions and it was like a little over an hour away
"Oh shit,my dad has a head start and the way he drives he's probaly already there,who's the fastest driver"and everyone looked at Adrienne

"Wow okay lets go"so they hopped in and left and a little over an hour turned into 45 minutes

"Yeah thats my dad's car"so they all went up to the front door and it was unlocked,so everyone went in and Anna heard faint crying so she and everyoe followed it and it led her to what looked like her cousin's room and she saw her sitting on her bed crying and she spoke
"Sarah"and her cousin immediately smiled and jumped off the bed and gave her a hug and Anna crouched down to her cousin's height

"Yeah what's worng"
"Uncle Scott came here and started yelling at my mom"
"Oh um well you see your mom um just Sarah trust your dad more then your mom okay it will save you"
"What do you mean"and Anna had tears welling up in her eyes,god she wants to protect Sarah as much as she can

"Sarah I want you when we leave I want you to cover your ears and shut your door and stay in your room and if your mom tries to do anything to you just call me okay"and she worte down her number on the slip of paper she had

"Okay"so Anna gave her cousin a kiss on the forehead and a hug and got up and waved,and they all left her room and Anna was still kinda crying so Billie gave her a hug,and so the found the door that connected the house to the gradge and went in and what Anna saw,she saw her dad who had tears streaming down his face and Jenny just standing there with her arms folded over her chest and Anna spoke
"What the fuck did you say to him"
''Oh look its the little tratior"and she back Jenny up against the car
"You fucking bitch you gave me a fucking mental breakdown,your niece and look what you just did to my dad your own fucking brother"and her dad spoke
"How could you do that to my kid I fucking hate you, you are just like Marie and yeah my kid turned out like me and Laurie because she is real and is a good person"

"After she hung up on you she threw her phone across the room so hard it broke,and she had a breakdown so bad that she was on the verge of an asthma attack and me and my wife had to hug her and calm her down for like 10 minutes straight because she wouldn't stop crying and what she said to you jesus christ I never wished that all of that would come out of a 14 year old's mouth"
"Yeah and your point"and Billie looked like he wanted to kill her and Scott spoke
"Jenny just leave us the along so you can save your own ass and not get reported to the police just stop"
"Fine but you both are fucking pathetic excuses for human beings and you are a terrible dad and"and before Jenny could say anything else Joan walked over and picked Jeny up by the collar of her shirt and slammed her up against the car behind her
"No you are a fucking pathetic excuse for a human being and you are a terrible mom and you should burn in hell okay so we will all raise actual hell on you if you don't shut the fuck up am I clear"
"Yeah whatever"and Joan put her down
"Okay anyone who wants to say anything do it now and then we're leaving"and one by one they all let loose on her and man did she fucking deserve it and once everyone was done Jenny definetly had a new point of view and when they were walking out she spoke
"No wait what"and they didn't even turn around and Anna went back in Sarah's room
"Hey Sarah"she said crouching down to Sarah's height
"Anna"her little cousin said giving her a hug,and Anna had tears running down her face still but was smiling
"Um Sarah this might be the last time I see you for a while and I'm sorry and I love you and so does Uncle Scott we love you so much"and she was crying even more and gave her little cousin a hug

"I will,do you still have that piece of paper I gave you"and Sarah nodded her head
"Can I have it for a second"and her cousin handed it to her and she wrote down her aunt Laurie's number and spoke
"If your mom is ever really mean to you when you're old just call this number"

"Its your aunt Laurie's number and she lives way closer to you then me"

"Okay"and Anna was still crying and pulled her cousin into a hug and gave her a kiss on her forehead

"Okay"and she stood up and turn Sarah's hand and went over by everyone and Scott gave her a hug and told her along the lines of what Anna told her and she said by to everyone and they thought it was cute and Anna spoke
"Okay Sarah I love you and I will see you when you're older okay"
"Okay and I love you too Anna"and Anna was standing up and Sarah hugged her but only came up to her chest and Anna wrapped her arms around her
"Okay we have to go before we get in trouble okay I love you and remember your promises"

"Bye"and they walked out and it broke Anna's heart but she knew this was how it was gonna be and she had to except that and her dad just fucking broke down when they got outside and Anna just gave him a hug and when she let go Billie went over by her dad and gave him a hug and Anna pulled out her phone and call her aunt Laurie

"So what trouble did your dad get into"
"We got that cleared up,um would it be okay if my dad stayed with you for like a night or two because I don't know or even wanna know what Jenny said to him but he is having a major breakdown and you know how he is more then me and"and before Anna could say anything else Laurie stopped her

"Thanks and also we saw Sarah and I talked to her for a little bit and I gever her your number in case Jenny got out of hand and I told her about you "

"Yeah"
"I'll text you my address"
"Okay bye"
"Bye"and Anna hung up and went back over by her dad and pulled Billie aside
"My dad is gonna spend a night or two at Laurie's and is it okay if we go drop him off because I don't want him to drive right now"and Billie gave her a hug and looked down at her

"Okay"and she walked over by her dad and spoke
"Hey are you good with spending a night or two"and he just gave her a hug and nodded so Billie and Scott hopped in Scott's car and got directions and everyone else followed them and it took about 25 minutes to get there and on the way over there Scott told Billie what Jenny said to him and it was heartbreaking and Billie was a mix of emotions because of what Scott said and Scott didn't want Anna to know what she said,so they got there and pulled up and got out and Laurie was standing outside waiting and they walked over by her and everyone said hi and stuff and Anna pulled her aside adn told her everything that was done and said and she understood so Anna said bye to her dad and so did everyone else,and they left and the whole way back Billie was hugging Anna to know she was okay because of how fucked up the past two days have been,so they got back and everyone pretty much relaxed when they got back and Anna knew something was off and she pulled Billie aside
"Hey whats up you've seemed off since we got to Laurie's"
"Its nothing"and Anna knew something was up
"I know its not just nothing can you please tell me"and Billie didn't say anything
"Was it about Jenny my dad what was it"and he just had his head down and Anna's eyes were glossy with tears,and she took Billie's hands in her's adn he looked at her

"On the way to Laurie's your dad told me what Jenny said and its was heartbreaking, she told him everything bad that your grandma and she said back when they were drinking buddies and everything that was said and done about him when he was little and even before he was born what was said and done"and Billie had tears rolling down his face now because it broke his heart,what Scott told him,and Anna let go and stepped backwards against the wall and slumped down and brought her knees up to her chest and started crying and Billie went over by her
"Hey its okay your dad didn't want me to tell you because he was being a good dad and protecting and because he loves you"and he pulled her into a hug and he still was kinda crying and he calmed her down and her wiped her tears away and he did the same and was smiling so they stood up and Anna held Billie's hand and both of their eyes where red and puffy and Billie knew Anna was a mix of a lot of emotions and they walked in the living room by everyone and Joan got up and gave Anna a hug and Billie spoke
"Does ice cream sound good"and Anna nodded,so Billie grabbed her Rev Rad hoodie for her and they grabbed their boards adn headed over to Baskin Robbins and got ice cream and went on the roof of the bank and ate their ice cream and Billie knew Anna was still upset, so to get a smile or a laugh out of her, so he grabbed her Rev Rad hoodie and put in on and it was even a little baggy on him plus he is short so it fit and he put the hood on and closed it with the strings almost completely and stuck his tounge out and he heard Anna laugh a little and when he looked at her she was smiling a little,he'll take what he can get,and he took the hoodies off and put it on Anna and hugged her and spoke
"You are so adorable in that hoodie,you're a cute little Youngblood"he said smilling and that made her smile a little more and blush a little
"See cute and fun sized"and she laughed a little

"Yeah"so they hung up there and talked and stuff and Billie told Anna about the idea for the St.Insomnia video

''Oh shit"so they hopped off the roof and he saw them skating and followed them but eventually lost them and they ended up back in Tosa adn they started laughing

"Nope"and it was dark out by now and they ended up hiding at the playground and they did't see a cop roll up and shine them with that bright ass light they have and Billie spoke
"Oh shit give me your e-cig"and Anna did and Billie put it in his pocket,and they got off the playground and went over by the cop and spoke
"The park is closed-and you're in Green Day"
"Yeah and sorry we were just hanging out"
"Well thats trespassing and you were responsable for the damage at Hart Park and someone spray painted something on the roof of the stage"and Anna spoke

"Oh well I guess trouble runs in the family,I have probable cause you were trespassing so I'm taking you in,and you're just lucky I'm not gonna use the cuffs on you so get in"and Anna and Billie got in the back of the squad car and the officer was outside on his radio and Anna spoke

"I know all the fucking cops are corrupt as fuck now"
"I can see that"and the cop got in the car and drop to the Tosa PD station and when they got there they walked in and the desk sargent saw Anna

"I am aware of that and I picked them both up for trespassing"and the officer led them to a holding cell,thank god it was empty and just them and Billie spoke
"Can I get my phone call"and the cop handed him a phone and he punched in Joan's number and she answered

"Me and Anna got picked up, we're at the Tosa PD station can you come get us out"and Anna heard Joan laughing on the other end
"Yeah I'll be there in 5 minutes bye"
"Bye"and he hung up and handed the phone back to the cop and Anna spoke
"So second time getting arrested in Wisconsin and first time with me"and Billie laughed
"Yeah"and Joan showed up and talked to the desk sargent and they got let out and when they got outside Joan died laughing

"Both of you got picked up"

"Yeah"and Billie gave Anna her e-cig back and Joan spoke

"I won't"so they headed home and told everyone what happened and they all got a kick outta it so everyone relaxed until they passed out.
