Ch.84 The Ripper

So Anna was dominating in the skateboarding world and was getting so much attention and she was in Thrasher and was named the first female pro skater to skate for Powell Peralta and basically made skate history,so she was at a competeition in Venice, California at Venice Skatepark and before her run she was looking around and it hit her,she is the only girl in the contest,and she is the only girl to ever skate for Powell Peralta and she ran over and found Billie and pulled him aside
"What's up Youngblood"
"Nothing just I'm the only girl competing in a mainly guy dominated sport,and I'm the first girl to ever skate for Powell Peralta"
"Yeah and that made skate history and you're paving the way for more girl skaters"Billie said smiling
"And we couldn't be prouder of you"and he saw Anna's face
"What's wrong Youngblood"
"I'm glad I'm paving the way for more girl skaters and that I made skate history,but it's that I don't being looked at like a girl most of the time,it's different when it's people close to me look at me as a girl, but when outsiders do,it's kinda weird"
"Because you're genderfluid"
"Yeah"she said in a small voice, and Billie gave her a hug and spoke
"And that's okay"and Stacy came and found them
"Anna,you're up,c'mon"and Billie looked at Anna
"Go kick some skater ass,Youngblood"he said smiling
"Okay"she said walking away,and Billie could tell that Anna was still bothered by being looked at like a girl for the most part in the skater world,so he headed back by the guys and Adrienne,and then they saw Anna skate up and then she just went for it and she was a speed demon and killed it, she was going so fast and tried to land a front foot impossible and she messed up and fell,hard, that was the hardest hit she ever took,and she tried to get back up with one arm,and fell back down and she thought 'Shit I broke my arm' so she used hopped back up and skated over by Stacy and spoke
"I broke my fucking arm"and she threw her board down and Stacy caught up with her
"Anna,hey what's wrong"
"I broke my arm during my run and I hate being looked at like the only girl in the skate world, sure I'm the girl paving the way for more girl skaters but I don't identify as that,only around people I'm close to,otherwise to outsiders I'm neutral and it's irritating as hell"
"Okay,I get it,you don't like being looked at like the only girl in a mostly guy dominated area because you're not always a girl"
"Exactly"
"Well we can do something about that,first we have to get your arm checked out"so some medics that stay on the sidelines for contests,examined her arm and she broke it,but thank god it was her less dominate arm,so they just put a sling on her for now, and Scott was doing his run and she went up by the guys and Adrienne and Billie spoke
"How the fuck are you okay from that hit"
"I'm good, I just broke my arm,how'd my dad's run go"
"Kick major ass"
"Good"and Billie and Anna went and walked around and stuff and Anna spoke
"Billie, do you think I could use a different name for different pronouns and in the skate world and stuff"
"Of course Youngblood"and Anna practically tackled him with a hug,well a one arm hug
"So what do you what your new name to be"
"Uh Andy sounds good,for my them/they pronouns,in and outside of the skate world"
"I like it"Billie said smiling
"Me,Adrienne,and the guys are still gonna always call you Youngblood,just so you know that"and Anna laughed a little
"I know,and my dad is still gonna call me kiddo"
"Yeah,and I'm glad you told me Youngblood"
"Yeah"so they walked back by everyone and they had announced the places already and Scott got first and he spoke
"Kiddo,you good"
"Yeah,just broke my arm"
"I see that"
"And that is why you don't try and pull a front foot impossible at full speed"Billie said jokingly
"No shit,I don't know what I was thinking"so Anna and Scott just cruised around the area and stuff and Billie disappeared for a little bit and eventually went back by them and he pulled Anna aside
"Where'd ya go Billie"
"I went and talked to Stacy,and he is gonna get everything changed on everything to the name you want,and the title will be the first genderfluid skater for Powell Peralta"and Anna had a huge smile on her face and gave Billie a hug
"You are the best"
"Look who's talking Youngblood"he said smiling
"Now lets get your at full speed front foot impossible pulling self to a hospital"and Anna laughed a little
"Yeah"so they headed to the nearest Urgent Care or hospital, so Anna was examined,they did x-rays, and her arm was broken,so they put a cast on her arm and she was good to go, so they left and Anna spoke
"Hey,first hospital trip with my dad"she said laughing,and everyone started laughing and Billie spoke
"Yeah,after how long"
"Who knows"so they headed back home and Billie and Anna gave everyone the run down on the whole gender,skater situation,so everyone just hung out and eventually the guys left and Scott went out and skated with Mike (McGill) and stuff, and Anna was going through some stuff in her room and she found some photo albums,from when her mom moved,and she went downstairs with them and found Adrienne in the living room
"Hey 80, wanna see some pictures of little me"
"Of course,bring on the cuteness"so Anna went and sat down next to her and they went through the photo albums and Anna found a picture of her,as a baby, her mom holding her,and her dad next to them, on the Fourth of July, watching fireworks, nad it reminded her of some of the few good memories her,her mom,and her dad spent together and she teared up a little and spoke
"Damn, I haven't seen this picture in a long time"and Adrienne saw that she was tearing up and wrapped her arm around her
"Well you were a fricking adorable baby"and Anna wiped her eyes and laughed a little
"Thanks"and all together most of the pictures they looked through were baby pictures of Anna and then the rest were as she got a little older and they stopped at age seven, and all these memories came flooding back to Anna,as if they were yesterday and she found a book her mom made her,at the bottom of the box, with all the photo albums in it and Adrienne spoke
"What's that"
"It's a book my mom made me when I was little"and she flipped through the hand drawn pages and it was so girly,she remembered how girly she use to be,and conversationd her mom had with people about her growing up and saying that she missed the girly stuff and on hte back cover of the book was a picture taped to it and it was of Anna when she was born and in the hospital,in the NICU, hooked up to all those tubes,keeping her alive, because she was born so pre-mature and Adrienne spoke
"Youngblood,you had so many tubes hooked up to you,what happened"
"Oh um, I was born almost three months early,I was born super pre-mature and they had to give my mom a c-section and I was in the NICU for two months and total in hospital bills,I was just under a million dollars"
"Wow"
"Yeah, baby me survived that, all 2 pounds and 3 ounces of me"
"You were so tiny"
"Yeah,my dad told me that I could literally fit in the palm of his hand and I had my last rights read to me after I was born"and Adrienne looked at her in shock and spoke
"Oh my god Youngblood, really"
"Yeah, once I was in an incubator and was in my spot, the chaplan came up to my dad, tapped him on the shoulder and started reading me my last rights and my dad didn't know what the fuck was going on, then he looked around and saw all the baby blankets with dates of birth and times of death on them, then he realized, oh shit if dies then she's good to go" and she kinda got choked up and little and Adrienne just gave her a hug and Anna remembered her mom saying how glad they were that her and her dad had a girl and not a boy because they didn't need a mini Scott running around and her vision blurred and tears poured out, and she started crying and Adrienne immediately hugged her
"Youngblood,what's wrong"
"My mom told me that her and my dad were so happy that they had a girl instead of a boy,because they didn't need a mini Scott running around and she wasn't joking, but I'm not a girl,I don't look like a girl,they were so happy I was a girl"
"Youngblood,look at me"and she did
"Just because you aren't technically a girl anymore,doesn't mean you did something wrong,your dad excepts you 100% for who you are and so do we and it's okay"
"But I feel like I let them down,because I'm not anymore"
"You didn't,and your dad would tell you the same thing and that all that mattered was that your tiny self was okay and survived,you didn't let anyone down"and Anna wiped her eyes
"Okay,and I just feel bad, because of what I am now"
"Well don't, you have nothing to feel bad about,you are who you are and it's okay if it's not what you were when you were born"
"Okay"and Adrienne just hugged her and spoke
"Hey I'm basically like a mom to you,and I say you didn't let anyone down,so you didn't"she said jokingly,and Anna just laughed a little
"Okay,thanks 80"she said smiling
"Of course Youngblood"she said smiling
"And can I as where this is coming from,because it seems like it's more than just the pictures"and Anna just sat there silent for a second and spoke
"I saw this video where it said 'You could have been exactly what they wanted you to be,when they wrapped you in a pink blanket when the doctor said 'girl' and they were so happy, my gender is not a language I can speak yet' and it just brought up some stuff"and Adrienne gave her a hug
"Now I get it,and it's okay,you dont' have to feel bad or guilty about your gender because it's not what it was when you were born,you discovered yourself and there is nothing wrong with that and I love you"and Anna spoke
"I swear you and Billie always make everything better"and that made Adrienne smile even more
"Well we try Youngblood,and I'm glad,and speaking for Billie,where is he"
"I don't know"and Anna got up and spoke
"It's too quiet,so he's up to something"and Adrienne laughed a little and spoke
"Go find him"so she went and looked in the backyard,on the ledge and around the whole house and then finally went and looked in the studio,and found him and spoke
"So you were down here, it was too quiet"and Billie laughed a little
"Yeah"and Anna's eyes were still a little red and Billie noticed
"You okay Youngblood"
"Yeah,I was just upset and I'm good now, 80 helped"and Billie smiled
"Okay good,Billie hug"
"Always"Anna said smiling and Billie gave her a hug and she spoke
"So what ya doing down here"
"Maybe working on new songs"and immediately Anna's face lit up
"Cool,can I see"
"Sure"and he showed her the lyrics to two songs, Father of All... and Fire, Ready, Aim, and she really liked them
"Wow,those are good,and what are the three dots for after Father of All"
"It means Father of All Motherfuckers"and Anna laughed a little
"Got it"
"You're dad skating with Rodney"
"Yeah"
"Damn, he skates like 24/7"he said laughing a little and Anna spoke
"Look who you're talking too"she said laughing
"True"and Billie being Billie,just to make sure Anna was fully cheered back up,hugged Anna and spoke
"I'm not letting you go til you are fully cheered up"
"I'm good with that"and he started singing When It's Time and Anna had a smile on her face
"Thanks Billo"
"Of course Youngblood"and she spoke
"Wait I got an idea"and she went back upstairs by Adrienne and spoke
"80 do you have a purple and a green hair tie"
"Pretty sure"so she went and grabbed something and came back and handed them to Anna and she went and grabbed Billie and they both came back upstairs and she spoke
"So how you guys will know which name I'm use each day, I'll wear a purple hair tie on my wrist for Anna and a green one for Andy"and both Billie and Adrienne smiled and Billie spoke
"So which color you using today Youngblood"and she put the green hair tie on her wrist and Adrienne spoke
"You thinking what I'm thinking Youngblood"
"Dance party"
"Yep"and Billie just laughed,so they turned on some music and the three just started singing and dancing,and the song Youngblood came on and while Billie and Adrienne were singing,they changed the she/her pronouns in the song to them/they pronouns and Anna was just in awe and smiled,so after an hour long dance party they relaxed and decided on movies,so it consisted of comfy clothes,popcorn,soda and Billie spoke
"So what movie you wanna watch Youngblood"and she had a good movie
"Gleaming the Cube,its' got Tony,Tommy,and Lance in it and Mike,Rodney,Lance and Tony all stunting for Christian Slater,it's good"
"Gleaming the Cube it is"so he turned it on and once Billie saw how young people were in this movie he spoke
"Damn when was this made"

"Wow"so about right in the middle of the movie,Scott showed up and saw what they were watching and he spoke
"Kiddo you got them watching 'The Cube'"he said laughing a little
"Yep"
"Yep you are my kid"so they finished watching that and both Billie and Adrienne liked it,so then they watched Turn It Around,The Outsiders, Point Break,Bones Brigade,Lords of Dogtown,and Waiting for the Lightening,and it was a very relaxing night after a hecktic day.
