Ch.37 Never There

July flew by, Anna,Billie,and her dad went to the show at the Rave and had an awesome time,and the situation with little Billie worked out, Billie and Adrienne visited again and Billie and Anna Facetimed constantly and Anna even got a girlfriend,the girl that wrote her number on Anna's arm and gave her a kissed on the cheek, and the way Anna put it was that her summer was over when July ended because August was the month she was moving and it was a tough month for her,and the guys kept their promise and visited and Billie and Adrienne helped Anna pack,even though her mom was still upset with Billie and thank god Billie was there because Anna had like three breakdowns in the process,but he helped and her girlfriend ended up moving to a different state because her parents were extremely homophobic,but she let it go and before she knew it Billie and Adrienne were taking her school shopping,and Anna was dreading going back to school and now it was Cordination Night at her school, where you find out what teacher you get and get your books and get your stuff ready for school and so Billie,Mike,Tre,and Adrienne all came and her dad,she didn't want her mom to come so she walked up to the booth that you got your teacher's name at
"Hi Anna"a parent said
"Hi"
"Who do you wish you got"
"Rector"
"Well your wish came true"
"Sweet"so she walked back over by everyone else and her dad spoke
"So who'd you get"
"I got Rector"
"The english teacher'
"Yeah,I got the teacher who loves Green Day"
"Oh cool"so they walked up to the classroom with Anna's stuff and as they walked through the hallways they got dirty looks but they didn't care and they finally got to the classroom
"Hey Miss Rector"
"Yay my favorite student"
'Yeah,well I have something that will make me your favorite even more,guys come in here"so Billie,Mike,Tre,and Adrienne walked in the room and her teacher's mouth dropped
"Green Day is standing in my classroom,this isn't happening,Anna Kushner you know the members of Green Day and you didn't tell me"
"They're family friends and it happened over the summer and its a long story"
"Well you have a lot to tell me on Monday"and Billie spoke
"I think its cool that Anna has a teacher with a cool taste in music,and you don't even know what she can do on guitar"
"Thank you and Anna you never told me you played"

"Oh" so everyone talked and got along and everything was good and they left

"Bye" so they headed back home and Scott left and Billie spoke
"I explained some stuff to your teacher and you get to hang out with her during lunch instead of being around the kids in your grade and you can pretty much just stay with her most of the day and some stuff"
"That is probaly this best school related news ever thanks"
"No problem" so they spent the weekend hang out and enjoying the last two days of summer,then it was Monday like a blink of an eye,so Anna woke up,got ready,and walked out in the living room and Mike handed her a cup of coffee
'Thank god,and what are you guys doing here"
"We talked to your dad and we figured you want caffine and we're gonna walk you school your first day back and your dad told us its a half day,so we'll pick you up"
"Thank you"so they left and walked to school and one of the main reasons the guys were walked Anna to school is so no one messed with her,so they got there and most people stared and they walked her up by they doors and she said bye and Billie whispered to her
"If anything happens, go to Miss Rector and she'll let you call me okay"
"Okay thanks Billie,love you"
"Love you too and don't let anyone mess with you,okay"

"Bye"so Anna stood in line next to her classmates and watched them walk away so they went in and Miss Rector let the class catch up for the three out of the six periods she had them that day,mainly so Anna could explain her crazy story,so they sat at the back table
"So you guys are family friends"
"No we consider each other family because of what we've been through together"
"Really"
"Yeah well one night in June me and my dad were talking about old punk bands and he walked over to the gas station and he got a scratcher and won the lottery and so we went to Berkeley and when we were crossing the street in a quiet neighborhood and my dad was hit by a car and Billie showed up and called an ambulance and I stayed with him and Adrienne when my dad was in a coma and even after and we had so much fun in California,now they visit twice a month"

"And he taught me how to play guitar and I played two shows at Gilman with them and in July when they were up here we went to a Joan Jett concert and we hung out with her and we got to play on stage with her and it was really fun"
"So you're telling me that you got to play with Green Day and Joan Jett"
"Yeah and I get to go on tour with them"and when Anna realized what she said she covered her mouth

"Don't worry I won't tell anyone"
"Thanks and yeah I start the tour with them when winter break starts and you can look the performances up on YouTube just don't play them out loud"
"Okay" so she did and her teacher was blown away

"I dont know Billie taught me the basics and then I just played"
"Wow"and now it was time for the class to switch for last period and Anna went to the bathroom and she didn't know but some girls followed her and cornered her in the bathroom

"And what the fuck is gender fluid anyway,thats not a gender"

"You don't have your shit band members to protect you now"
"Yeah well I don't care what the fuck you say,bye"and one of the girls grabbed her backpack and pulled her back and then they all started beating on her and she threw some punches but they eventually left,and thank god the last period was Miss Rector's prep period and she walked to her room,bruised and bloody
"M-Miss Rector"and she looked up from her desk
"Oh my god Anna are you okay" and Anna just stood there and her teacher came over by her and sat her down
'Do you want to call Billie"and Anna nodded her head with a tear rolling down her face,so she stood up and they walked to the office and the lady asked if Anna wanted to see the nurse but she said no and she just needed to call home so she went to the phone and punched in Billie's number
"Hello"
"B-Billie"
"Anna hey whats wrong what happened"
"C-Can you just come get me,I got beat up"
"Oh my god,yeah I'm on my way"so Anna hung up and sat down in one of chairs in the office and Miss Rector sat next to her to make sure that she was okay and probaly not even five minutes Billie showed up
"Oh my god Anna"and he knelt down to Anna's height
"C-Can we go home"
"Of course lets go"and so Anna stood up and Billie mouthed a 'thank you' to Miss Rector when they walked out and they got in the car and Anna just broke down
'Hey hey its okay"Billie said hugging her
"What happened"
"Between switching classes I went in the bathroom and I didn't realize that some girls followed me and they called me a fag and that they saw the video and they made fun of me being genderfluid and said it wasn't a real gender and that its stupid and that I didn't have my shit band members to protect me and I tried to leave and they grabbed my backpack and started beating me up" and they did some damage Anna had a black eye,a spilt lip and bruises everywhere and blood running from her nose,and she started crying
"I'm sorry"she said sobbing
"You have nothing to be sorry about and those little bitches are gonna pay"so they headed back to Scott's and when they walked in Mike,Tre and Adrienne all saw Anna and gave her hugs,so Billie cleaned up her nose and her lip and put ice on her eye and she just sat next to Billie,holding his hand and not letting go and Billie got up and so Adrienne sat down next to Anna and held her hand and Billie,Mike,and Tre went outside and Adrienne spoke
"Its okay,do you want to tell what happened"
"I went to the bathroom at switching time and some girls jumped me and called me a fag and beat me up"and Adrienne just hugged her
"Well I think Billie's on the phone with your dad talking about what they're gonna do"
"Good" and then they came back inside and Billie sat on the other side of Anna and spoke
"So me and your dad and you are gonna go down to school in a little bit when he gets back and we're gonna to see the principal"and Billie held her hand again and Anna leaned aganist Billie
'Okay" Anna said in a small voice,so about an hour later Scott showed up
"Fuck sweety are you okay"
"I guess"
"Okay we're gonna go sort this out okay"
"Okay" so it was after school hours and they went down there and Anna would not let go of Billie's hand so she came with and they went and sat in the principal's office and she came in
"Hi Anna,Scott"
"Hi" her dad said
"So Anna do you want to tell me who did this and what happened"and Anna nodded

Liz thats who and I went in the bathroom when we were switching and I didn't realised they followed me,they cornered me and called me a fag and swore at me and made fun of my gender and when I tried to leave,they grabbed my backpack and started beating me up"
"Okay,I will call there parents and tomorrow we'll all sit down and discuss their punishment"
'Okay" so Billie and Anna got up and Scott stayed behind and spoke to the principal
"Those girls should be suspended for what they did,Billie said that when he showed up that she was bruised and bloody as heck and they called her a fag and swore at her and I want to know for sure that it never happens to her again"
"Okay Scott I will make sure of it"and Scott walked back out by Billie and Anna was actually smiling and so was Billie and Scott spoke
"Whats got you happy"
"Billie suggested ice cream"
"Okay,lets go"so they headed to Baskin Robins and Billie got mint chip,Anna got rocky road,and Scott got chocolate chip cookie dough and they sat and ate there ice cream and Scott spoke
"You're staying home tomorrow just so those girls don't try to do anything else,while we get this figured out,okay"
"Okay,I'm happy with that"she said smiling and she was still holding Billie's hand and they headed back home and Scott headed back to work and Billie and Anna just listened to music and watched Bullet in a Bible and Ordinary World and relaxed and had a good time along with Mike,Tre,and Adrienne and they had an awesome time.
