Chapter 24 - Long Drive

The early morning arrives and Jack wakes up with a million thoughts in her mind. There are other people out there blowing up saviors. She can't help but feel bad for who ever the guys were, and she knows how pissy Negan is about it. He went right to sleep last night and didn't even hold onto her like he usually does, and that makes her sad.

Jack slept okay without being close to him, and she figures he needs space anyways, so she gets up and showers, but she debates whether or not to leave the room to help Karen out with breakfast. She misses cooking, so she goes anyways while she let's Negan sleep in.

Karen notices Jack walk into the kitchen and there were people waiting for food already, so Jack steps in and helps her serve food to the workers, while also making sure they have points to eat as well. This system is a little messed up, but Jack knows that the food is hard to find, and you have to work for your fair share, and that's fair in some ways.

People think it's messed up that Jack isn't a wife, and she gets what she wants, but like Jack says she doesn't really give a fuck what people think about her, Negan is the leader here, and since she is with him they treat her like they treat him. Jack still likes to pay for things and help out where she can, it makes her feel better to do things that way, and Negan thinks her honesty is sexy so he goes along with it.

"Jack thank you so much for helping out today, it's been a crazy morning, the saviors are freaking out over the incident yesterday, i mean that's really scary that someone blew those guys up, how is Negan holding up?" Karen is curious and she knows that Jack would know more than anyone.

"It is pretty fucked up, but Negan's really angry and now he has more guys out there going to that place called Hilltop, which i think maybe they have something to do with the whole thing, but i haven't told Negan about it, he might agree with me"

Jack really is positive that those farmers could have killed those guys, she can't think of anyone else, or is there more settlements she doesn't know about. This makes her think that maybe Negan isn't telling her everything.

Why in the fuck would he lie to me, i know he knows more than he is telling me. If we're together he has to be honest with me, but i have a feeling he is keeping secrets from me, and i don't know why.

Back in their bedroom, a pissed off Negan wakes up not ready for the day, and the first thing he notices is Jack is gone like usual. Last night was rough, he learns that his guys got blown up and now there are more out there, who knows what will happen.

Jack leaves the kitchen after helping out for a little, and she knows that Negan will be looking for her so she heads back. Walking in the door, she can hear the water running, he must be in the shower. Jack walks into the bathroom, and she doesn't care that he is naked, but she wants to know that he is ok.

"Babe, you okay?"

"As good as i fuckin' can be, haven't heard from Simon about the pickup yet those farmers better not rip me off, this week they owe me half their shit, and i really don't want to have to kill anyone today" Negan steps out of the shower and wraps a towel around his waist and Jack is leaning against the sink with her arms crossed.

"Is there more places out there, like with people i mean you told me about Hilltop, but are you taking from other places too?" she asks him nervously, he is in a bad mood already, so this might make it worse. Negan hisses through his teeth, he has to tell her now.

"Yeah baby, there's another place called Kingdom i send a small group every week to meet privately for their shit, but there is also another group that fought back, left their settlement after Simon murdered all the men and i specifically told him not to do that shit, but that was a while ago, other than that i don't know of any other out there, but after that fuckin' racket last night we might have some more people out there"
