I had to do it. We're at 89 parts. I needed a clean 90 or I would actually fucking die.
This is the ending in which Akira decides to stay in the book. Yuuna promised "One more student will die, but it'll be a suicide." So that happens, rip.
Technically, this is actually the bad ending.
((this was written a while ago but i only just remembered to re-publish it. yikes. on a side note this story is old as fuck and hence the beginning was actual dog shit ))

"I can't leave my friends." Akira said firmly, much to the surprise of the rest of the students. "They're telling me to go, but that's just a decision I can't make. So I'm picking to stay here, even if one more person dies. I would rather do that than sit back and watch them all go."
"Akira..." Rei sighed. "Why? This was your chance. How are we supposed to live knowing we're not even real? You have the leverage that you're a real person. We don't! We're just fictional! That's it!" She waltzed right up to Akira. "You're going to sit here with friends who aren't even real? For all we know, these lines could be scripted, too!'
SLAP!
Yuuna covered her mouth to hide a giggle as Akira reached up to grab her cheek. "Oh, my. Looks like you make your choice, Akira! How do you feel knowing all your friends hate you now?"
"They don't hate me!" Akira cried back. "Right? You guys don't hate me!"
"This trial is over. This discussion is over." Rei pushed Akira aside and started to head for the exit. "I would rather die than sit here one more second and listen to Yuuna brag."
"Rei! Come back!" Akira shouted as Rei slammed the trial room door.
"Dear, oh dear... looks like your friend left." Yuuna barked out another laugh. "Can I even say ' friend '... or ' imaginary friend '? Haha, what a funny coincidence, it fits perfectly! Same thing for the rest of the class!"
Naoki hissed. "Fuck this." He grabbed his bowtie, ripped it in half, threw it on the floor, and stepped on it as he bolted for the exit. "Akira, fuck you. Seriously, fuck you. I'm gonna have to live with this shit now." He pointing an accusing finger at everyone. "I hope you're the one who ends up dying." He slammed the door as he left.
"Na... oki..." Akira breathed out, already close to tears again. "Kata, Chiemi, you guys... you aren't upset, right?"
Chiemi looked away with an uncertain frown. Obokata just covered his lip with Mutsumi's scarf.
"I can't say I hate you. We've had too many good memories." Chiemi started. "...But that doesn't mean we're friends, either. I need some fresh air." She gave Akira a sympathetic frown and slowly left the trial room.
Akira eyed Obokata and held out her arm. "Kata, come on, listen to me, here! I... I did this 'cause I cared about you guys! Do you not appreciate that?! We're... We're a trio, you can't leave me too!"
Obokata sighed and stood up straight. "How can we be a trio if two of us aren't real?"
"Kata, please. I didn't know about this, either." She breathed out, too tired to even yell. "I just... I need time to think of a way to get us all out of here. I will-"
"You can't because there isn't an outside for us." Obokata grunted. "...I'll talk to you in the morning."
Yuuna laughed hysterically as he left, leaving Akira alone.
-
Yuuna cracked her knuckles. Akira had run out of the trial room in tears as soon as the door closed, leaving her by herself. She made sure the coast was clear before going down the Ferris Wheel, going into her room underneath it. She couldn't miss what happened next.
She walked in, smiling at the monitors in the room. This was how she knew when her plans were going, well, according to plan. Of course, a lot of the time, they didn't, because Tokihiko just didn't want to die when he was supposed to, but until then, it was going perfectly, and the memories made her smile.
She sat down on the chair and eyed the monitors.
Everyone was doing their own thing - of course, they all looked upset, but that's to be expected. They'll all come to accept this life.
...All of them except one of them.
Her gaze switched to Akira's room. She was sitting at her desk, Mana in lap, as she scribbled things on a piece of paper furiously. Each time she broke the pencil, Yuuna would stifle an amused giggle. Oh, how adrenaline made force hard to measure.
Poor girl. I don't feel bad for her.
-
It was morning, but Yuuna didn't feel like doing an announcement. The group had gotten so used to it, they were all up by then anyway. Most of them were already in the dining hall, but none of them were talking. They were all just sitting down, looking down, hands on the table, the usual.
"What a sad group..." Yuuna murmured to herself. "Where'd I go wrong writing these idiots? Do something."
And ' do something ' they did.
Rei was the last one to enter the dining hall. "All of you, what the fuck did you do?!" She all-but-screamed.
"What are you on about? I spent the entire night just lying on my bed." Naoki grunted. Everyone else at the table nodded to confirm the night was rather uneventful.
"Then you tell me..." Rei started, then pointed to a specific chair. "One of us is fucking missing?"
"What? Wow, what a shocker, someone's dead again. Honestly, they're lucky." Obokata sighed. "I wish I could've been the dead one. 'Sumi could've cheered all of you up no problem."
"Big news, Mutsumi wasn't real. She would've been no better than us, dipshit. Now shut up and let Rei speak." Naoki spat.
"All of you, follow me right now or I'll be the reason you die." Rei hissed.
"Tempting." Obokata shrugged.
The three stood up and started to follow Rei.
She led them towards the dormitory...
"We've got a dead body on our hands, and according to Yuuna, they killed themselves..." Rei started. "so why the fuck is it that one?!"
Obokata yawned. "Hurry up and show me."
Rei held back the urge to slap him straight across the face and opened the door to one of the rooms.
Yuuna's smile widened.
Almost there. Go on. Show them.
She knew her plan worked already, but seeing that damn cat hopping around the room meowing her head off really sold it for Yuuna.
Of course, the only one left willing to die like that was the one person Yuuna didn't really have control over. If anyone else would do it, she'd need to write it, and she said she wouldn't write anything else.
It's only natrual Akira would be the last to fall.
-
Yep! You guessed it (probably not)! In the alternate ending, Akira actually is the one who kills herself! i tried not to mention chiemi after everyone gathered in the dining hall so it'd be a mystery which one was dead lmao
WE DID IT BITCHES 90 PARTS. I CAN DIE HAPPY NOW
