Chapter 33.5

Story's Date : May 21, 2019; Tuesday

Narrator's POV :

Ranmaru came rushing to the park, fear growing inside of her. She was scared of what Shindou's doing to Kariya and she can't help but tear up. She was wishing that the damage wasn't much, but we're talking about Shindou. He might've done something dangerous right about now. This was like a nightmare she was running away from; the only problem was it was chasing her at light speed. The nightmares wouldn't stop, now would they ?

She kept on running as fast as she could to get to her destination. The destination of doom; that is. 'Why is he always up our tails ? What does he want !?' she thought. Finally she saw the gates of the playground, and a small crowd just meters away from it. "Oh no..." She sighed out. The pinknette defender rushed over to the commotion and— OH HEAVEN GOD HAVE MERCY !

There the tealnette was; with purple bruises, a swollen cheek, teary eyes, a broken nose and other cuts here and there. "Masaki !!!" She screamed in fury and rage, with a mix of worry and uneasiness.

"R-Ranm-maru..." He sighed. Shindou, who was still hovering above the first year, looked at the young girl and smiled. "Ah...Ranmaru, my wife ! You're here..." He said in a bittersweet voice as he stood up. "I am NOT your damn wife !!! Get away from my boyfriend you bastard !!!" She shouted. Her hand raised and slapped the other hard. The slap noise itself seemed like it was heard throughout the whole playground.

The brunette (Shindou), was in a state of shock. 'Did...Did she just slap me ? ME !? THE MAGNIFICENT SHINDOU TAKUTO !?' "Oh, you're gonna pay for that..." He whispered. With a swift move, both of the male's hands were on the woman's neck. He was strangling her !

"Hey ! Cut it out, child !!!"

"She's a girl, you bastard !!!"

"Someone call the police !!!"

All different shouts were heard as Takuto strangled the already unable-to-breath Ranmaru.

"CUT IT OUT !" Someone said from behind. There, standing in between the large gates of the playplace, was Tsurugi. He looked angry and like satan himself there was a scary and evil aura surrounding his entire being as he spoke.

"How dare you hurt my cousin and my friend !? You are in one heck of trouble..."

"Sword Saint Lancelot !!!"

"Lost Angel !!!"

The shoot was directly sent to the second year male's stomach, which caused him to vomit out blood from the heavy impact. He let go of Kirino and hit the nearest tree that was there. "Ranny ! Are you okay !?" Kyousuke ran towards his older cousin while Tenma helped Kariya up. "I-I'm fine..." She said quietly. "Masaki ? Are you alright, honey ?" The defender looked over at her lover and the sight was just horrible. An average person wouldn't be able to look at him for more than 5 seconds because of how bloody he is.

"I'm okay...Ranny..." And there, he fainted.

"Owww...." Ranmaru winced in pain. They were currently in the "Kirino Family Clinic" just beside her house. Her aunt and uncle has a health and care business and they decided to put one of their large buildings beside her house, as they said that Ranmaru should always be protected when it comes to diseases. Trust me, she had Pneumonia once when she was 6.

Kariya was still out even when an hour had already passed. The blow was really hard and the first year couldn't handle it all. He was lying in one of the hospital beds and resting peacefully. Nobody dared to make such loud noise because they know that Kariya needs his time to recover from the beat up.

"Will he be okay, Auntie ?" Ranmaru asked the 30-year-old, blue-haired woman. "He'll be alright, dearest. You don't have to worry." She replied with a soft smile. It calmed the girl a little, but she was still worried about her boyfriend's well-being. The wounds were too harsh ! He couldn't possibly exit this very building without a few complications. That was merely...impossible.

"...ny...Ra....nny..." A soft yet hoarse voice spoke up. "Masaki !!!" The defender was overflowing with happiness when she saw that the tealhead was awake. He fluttered his eyes a little and adjusted his vision to the light in the room. He then proceeded to turn to his loving girlfriend and spoke up with sad eyes. "...I...c-could-dn't....pr...o..t-tect...you..." He said, tears coming out from his yellow orbs. "I-If...o...only...I-I was...p-perfect...t-then I would be a-able to..." He was hushed completely with the girls finger in the middle of what he was saying. "Don't say that. You tried your best and kept going just to protect me. Your efforts are worth more than a billion dollars this world has..." She said in a low and soft voice. "That's right. You were brave more than enough to fight that crazy bastard. As your cat-eyed buddy, I can say I'm proud." Tsurugi piped in, which made Kariya smile as the navy blue-haired boy actually said "cat-eyed buddy". Tenma smiled and looked at his boyfriend, touched by his words. Then, it was his turn to speak.

"Nobody's perfect. We all have made mistakes from time to time. But that's what makes us human; our imperfections. So you're not alone..."

"Min'na...." The tealhead whispered, clearly touched. The smiles of his friends were the most precious to his eyes. Those smiles were, are, and will be the reason why he will keep going far in life.

"Arigato..."

There we go ! Sorry for not updating for over a month 😅. I was really not motivated enough to continue this part but here it is ! Fresh and born.
