Chapter 29 : Being spies

Story's Date : May 15, 2019; Wednesday

Kirino's POV :

It was only yesterday when this spy thing had happened, but I'm already getting used to it. Yesterday, when uncle, Kyousuke, and I went to this headquarters that had a special room for our case, I immediately went wild; well, not exactly, but you could say I shrieked when I saw the control room Kyou & were going to be using. Turns out, it was only today that he got to touch these devices. They were actually waiting for me, how kind :).

Uncle taught us everything that we needed to know about these devices, and of course both of us paid close attention. We wouldn't wanna be ruining our only job. Right now, I'm searching for security cameras that has Shindou and/or Inika in. I was searching and searching until I finally found one.

'This was the time I got kidnapped...Wait a minute, is that...!'

I saw Shindou talking to that damned kidnapper. It looks like he was giving him money for kidnapping me, but I can't tell how much it is.

"Thanks, you did a good job. Now, once they give you the money, get out of there with my wife and bring her to me. Got it ?"

Wife ? Why would that bastard call me his wife ? He's so suspicious it's making my skin crawl; JUST WHAT THE HECK IS KEEPING HIM THIS WAY !?

I groaned it frustration as I slammed my hand on the table and glared at the screen. I couldn't read him...yet. It's obvious that whatever is running through his mind, it has something to do with me.

"Itoko-chan, are you okay ?" Kyousuke asked me, facing away from the screen and towards my direction.

"This case is just a little frustrating, that's all." I said. He looked at me with a blank face and nodded before going back into his computer. It's 4:30 A.M. right now and I came here at 3:20 A.M., though it feels like I've been here for a whole day. This is tiring, but I can't give up. Not when this mess is happening right now.

This is serious and I can't let it slide.

Kyousuke's POV :

I feel a little bad for my older cousin. This case includes her in it because of that filthy rich bastard, and I can tell she wants to get this over with real fast. It won't be easy 'cause of their power and clever strategies, so it'll be longer to fix and she knew that. I can see the look of frustration on her face, and it also makes me feel the same way for some reason.

I mean, she IS my cousin after all.

Anyway, my job was to see what Inika's been doing. Ranny told me that Inika pickpockets other people and joins an illegal gang of some sort. I just recently found out that it was named "Sixth Sense". Weird name if you ask me. I gathered all of the information I can find and look what at I just found :

Inika was walking towards an alleyway where a bunch of teenage gangsters were hanging by. She went over to them and told them to follow her. Like the little lap dogs they are, they followed.

They ended up in an abandoned warehouse that looks like it hasn't been used in ages, and went inside.

Minutes later you could hear screams of pain and agony inside if the said warehouse. It's like someone was being tortured inside. After a few moments, it stopped. Then you can see that one of the men in her crew bought a corpse outside before throwing it in the trash.
