A/N: time for jealous Adora. requested by wedots (don't worry, I saw your message and sorry, I didn't reply because as it says on my description, my messages are not really functioning at the moment.) this is also a modern-day au.

"So it was really that bad?"

"Who knew babysitting a twelve-year-old would be hard?" Adora muffled as she held her face buried in the table.

"A twelve-year-old that we're friends with." Catra placed a plastic cup of mocha in front of Adora.

"I know. That's more embarrassing." Adora took a large sip from the cup.

"Couldn't have been worse; she would have drawn on you with a permanent marker."

"Tell that to the back of my ear." Catra took a quick glance at Adora's earlobe. She saw little drawings of snowflakes.

"Wow, nice pattern." Catra bit her ear delicately.

"Catra, we're in public," Adora whispered.

"That never stop us before."

"You're gonna get fired."

"Please, they always say they'll fire me but then they end up making me go to clean the bathrooms."

"Catra," Adora whined as her the other snickered.

"Look maybe it can still come out, I'll go see if we have wipes or something." Catra moved away from her ear. "Be right back."

Adora watched as she saw Catra walking towards the back. Adora could see that she was talking to a girl with a short haircut, a bit taller than Catra, prosthetic arms, and her apron was tied up in the back and it generally looked like a tail in Adora's eyes.  She could see both her and Catra laughing when they heard an explosion from the back. Catra returned with a few wet towels in her hands.

"Who's that?" Adora asked her, still looking at the tall girl.

"That's Scorpia. She's always been here but she usually works in the kitchen with Entrapta." Catra wiped the back of her ear but the ink only smudged. "She's cool."

"Cool as in ice-cold or cool as in someone you wouldn't mind hanging out with?"

"The second one. Why do you ask?"

"No specific reason; just curious." Catra could see Adora's eyes squinting towards Scorpia.

"You alright?"

"Never better."

"Catra, you have an order," Scorpia called out to her.

"I'm coming." Catra kissed Adora's head. "I'll see you at home."

"I'll see you."

The next day when Adora went to see Catra at the coffee shop, she saw Scorpia throwing flour at Catra and another girl, Entrapta. Catra kept telling her to stop but she couldn't contain her laughter. Adora knocked on the wall to get the girls' attention.
