"Mom, I don't think this is safe," Calico whimpered, sitting on a rock.

"Don't worry, sweetie, I'm wearing a helmet," Catra said, slipping her goggles.

"Mom, I get that it's your wedding ring but will Mom really notice?"

"Last time I didn't have it on she thought I was seeing someone else and she chased me through the entire wood and the reason why I wasn't wearing it was because you had nearly swallowed it when you started crawling,"

"That explains the tiny scar on my bottom lip,"

"That was an accident, I swear. I told your Mom you had an incident with Hope and learning how to retract your nails,"

"Mom, I doubt you can hold your breath long enough to find your ring in the lake."

"You wanna bet? Here, kid, hold my mask," Catra dove into the lake. Catra had only been underwater for nearly thirty seconds and Calico had begun to worry.

"Mom? Mom!" Calico jumped in the water. He swam up with his mom, unconscious. He pushed her up to the shore. "Mom, Mom, Mom!" Calico smacked her face.  Tatra coughed out water and her eyes flashed open.

"Kid, if you want to get someone's attention, there are less painful ways to do it."

"Did you get your ring or did I pull you up for nothing?"

"No, I found it. I guess I got stuck down there. Thanks, kid," Catra kissed his cheek and walked back to the castle.

"Mom, why are we doing this again?" Calico asked tying a stun baton to a tree. "I mean, it doesn't seem fair to use stun batons to catch dinner."

"Calico, sweetie, if you love hunting monsters with protein as much as I do, you want them to die with dignity," Adora chuckled.

A deer-like creature ran through the forest and got shocked. It fell dead and fried to the ground instantaneously. Adora walked up to it and went to grab a bite of it.

"Mom! The batons are still-" Calico heard yelling coming from Adora. "...on."

Calico had never been bothered by the fact that he was the only boy in his family. Most of his time, he saw this as a way to be the ''man of the house'' or his case, "the man of the castle". With women around the Bright Moon castle, he usually got used to accidentally walking into talks about womanhood to him being teased by kids in the kingdom about being a girly boy. Occasionally, he wished that there was more than just being just a boy in his family.

"Hope, get down from there!" Calico shouted at Hope who was climbing up a tree that didn't have the strongest branches.

"Calico, it's fine, I've climbed up this thing a million times." Hope climbed till she was out of his sight.

"And in those 'million' times, you broke your arm most of the time," He murmured. He began hearing yelling. Calico ran toward the yelling and held out his arms. Hope landed right on her brother.

"Thanks for the catch, Lico." Hope smiled.

"No problem," Calico laid on the ground.
