Double Trouble entered the room with a smirk on their face. They came upon Catra angrily shredding papers and breaking machinery all around. They held the feline down.
"Save your fire for the princesses, darling." They held her shoulder.
"What do you want?" Catra slaps their hand away and puts her mask back on.
"What? I can't have a leisurely conversation with the girl who's leading her army to victory?"
"You want to have a conversation?"
"Of course. Get to know each other better." Catra raises an eyebrow, unconvinced. "Now, I'm not saying we talk about our favorite colors and braid our hair. I mean, on a deeper level."
"If you're wondering about how I was growing up, forget it."
"Ooh, mysterious. I like this."
"I just don't like talking about it. So, drop it."
"I wouldn't suppose this would have anything to do with the blonde goddess you made me fight the day we met. Would it?"
"Adora? A goddess?"
"Ah, Adora. I assume she got everything while you got nothing? Ugh, don't you hate how the perfectionist gets all the glory? Whatever happened to the mysterious loner?"
"Adora was always the good, responsible girl that everyone...adore."
"Did you and her-"
"No! She and I were only friends and I guess, she thought we weren't good enough for her perfect life! She left one day because of some sword that turned her into a princess. She says she tries to get me on her side because she never wanted to leave me. Maybe she should've thought of that before she decided to run off with her princess friends. I guess things have changed. She was the one of the things in my way."
"Why didn't you get rid of her sooner?"
"I know I should have but now, she's with those princesses and I'm here leading a bunch of slackers."
"Do I detect a taste of jealousy?"
"Shut up! The only thing I should be jealous is Adora gaining the upper hand while I'm here doing all the work for Hordak! Always moping and throwing tantrums over Entrapta!"
"Just some princess that Hordak might have liked for a while."
"Entrapta? Who's she? Do tell, darling, dramas are what I live and breathe!"
"Entrapta was his little assistant for a while until she decided to listen to Adora." Catra hissed her name. "I had her sent to Beast Island as punishment for betraying us."
"And Hordak? Does he know about his beloved?"
"Hordak doesn't and will never know." Catra made Double Trouble back away. "The only people who know about this are me, you, Scorpia, and those two Crimson Waste idiots I've picked up a while ago."
"May I ask another question? Why get rid of Entrapta when you get rid of Hordak himself? He's the defect Horde Prime left to perish. Don't you think you'd be doing the galaxy service if you got rid of him?" Double Trouble whispered the last question in her ear. Catra pushed their face away.
"I'll think about it. Until then, he doesn't know about Entrapta."
"What will you say would happen if he ever found out about her?"
"He'd go soft and forget what he's doing. Besides, that princess was naive and witty for her own good. She wouldn't last a day there. By the time, he gets there, she'll be swimming in a monster's stomach acid."
"Aren't you quite the artist? Painting a massive image such as that."
"Shouldn't you be out spying on the princesses? They could be having tea and crumpets while figuring out how to get rid of us."
"Oh, yes. How inattentive of me!" Double Trouble headed for the door. "Do wish me luck." Catra shut the door on them. When Catra was out of sight, the shapeshifter took a different form. A form that could've haunted Catra. After all, she's known her all her life.

"What did you say?" Hordak's face withered with grim eyes.
"Oh, you don't need to keep up the charade with me. I figured out the truth. You had Catra send Entrapta to Beast Island, so She-Ra would run off to rescue her. A brilliant idea; the perfect distraction. I have to applaud your work, you really had me going. So scorned by Entrapta's betrayal." Double Trouble watched Hordak's face get more grim by the minute they spoke. "Even now you look like you had no idea." Hordak growled under his breath.
"Brava." Double Trouble looked away from him. "I mean, I did consider the alternative, that Catra's been lying to you this whole time." They smiled at him. They began walking around the evil leader. "That she made you believe she was your partner in crime, while really she was the one who betrayed you."
They chuckled.
"But between you and me, there's no way she's that good an actor. Well, I'll leave you to it." They walked away. "Congrats again. Great work all around."
Hordak's chest huffed and held up his weapon arm. Soon, Double Trouble could heat the painful shouts that belonged to the defect one. Hordak felt a tear run down in outrage.
Their work was completed.
