A/N: this was kinda a song lyric request by 1-800-BORING and its a modern AU with gamer girl Catra and her dorky, supportive gf Adora. *wink* also i didn't exactly use the whole song but the parts that could get to the fluff *wink wink*

𝘨𝘰 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘺 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘷𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘰 𝘨𝘢𝘮𝘦

Saturdays were always the laziest days for people in the city. For Adora and Catra, they were practically the most sluggish. Ever since the new warrior video game came out, every one of Adora and Catra's friends was inside their homes, lying on their beds trying out to take the other person out. The game was simple; a cliché fairytale adventure game. Only without a team after treasure, it was nearly every man/woman for themselves on the battlefield that was the land of Etheria.

The game was 'Etheria Warriors'. Each player gets to design their own character, choose one power, and to carry a weapon. Once you have started, you will receive a message from the illustrious Queen Angella. The treasure that the player must seek is the staff of King Micah, the deceased husband to the Queen Angella. The land to Etheria was full of mysteries, labyrinths, monsters, magic, people in all forms of animals, and very little warriors in the land to defeat the evil Horde. The staff was located in the Fright Zone, the nearly barren, ominous terrain of the Horde. Also known as the soldiers trying to take over Etheria.

"I say we take out Frosty girl. She's the one with the weakest power. Plus, the little girl needs to learn that this game isn't kindergarten territory." Catra said.

"She's twelve. We'll give her ten minutes of her fun." Adora smirked.

After ten minutes, Catra and Adora had eliminated Frosta from the game.

"Ok, do we take out Mermista or Sea Hawk?" Adora asked Catra.

"I say, pirate. He's sort of weak too and plus he keeps playing his pirate music over the phone." Catra murmured.

"I heard that!" Adora jumped to the Sea Hawk's comment on the phone.

"As long as they take you out first, I'm good," Mermista said.

"I'm still kicked out!" Frosta said from the back.

"Sorry, we're really going for the weak ones." Adora smiled.

"Can you get Perfuma next?" Mermista asked.

"Hey! Flowers have feelings, too, you know?" Perfuma said.

"I just don't wanna die again like last time!" Bow cracked.

"Bow, that was one time and you weren't looking where you were going. That's why Scorpia got you." Glimmer argued back.

"That was an accident," Scorpia said in the background.

"Can we have this conversation somewhere else?" Adora asked.

"Too late, Sea Hawk's gone," Mermista said.
