Adora woke up to herself spooning against Catra's back. She could hear the girl purring against her as she nuzzled her face in Adora's back. Adora moved to see if Catra was awake. She felt Catra's lips the second she turned around and Adora could feel herself wanting to melt even more when she felt Catra's legs draping around Adora's body.

"So this isn't because you don't like me?" Adora asked with her legs rubbing against Catra's.

"What's the thing Scorpia said? Oh yeah, I only dislike you a reasonable amount."

"I'm sure kissing me is more than disliking me a reasonable amount."

"Nothing gets by you, does it, princess?"

"Technically, I'm a princess by a sword."

"And because an evil hologram told you."

"Hey, how was I supposed she was evil we were teenagers. You know they say we'll listen to anyone."

"Sure, princess, whatever you say."

"Whatever, you cute, mangy cat," Adora pecked against Catra's neck. Catra laid still for a second. Adora looked up at Catra. "Hey, you good?" Catra seemed to have zoned out. "Cat?"

"Huh? Oh, yeah. I'm fine. I just forgot I have to go...meet with Scorpia." Catra kissed Adora's cheek and practically ran out.

"And then she just left the room without saying anything else." Adora fell back on a cushion. "Do you think it's me?"

"I see," Double Trouble stood up and walked towards the mirror. "Adora, you've known kitten since you were wee, adorable children. Shouldn't you know what is upsetting her?"

"Well, I was wondering since you were there when she was more...broken, maybe you can tell me?"

"Adora, darling, as much as I love solving your relationship problems with Catra, I'm simply too busy to help with anything." Double Trouble fixed their outfit and hair.

"DT, you gotta help me here! I don't wanna ruin what she and I have. I'm not asking you as Catra's partner, I'm asking as a friend. I mean, sure you once tricked me into thinking you were Catra but you're still a member of the Rebellion and you're still someone I can trust...at times."

"Oh, I'm honored, darling! Of course, I do compel pa-" Adora raised her sword to their neck. "Temper, temper. 'Tis only a joke." The shapeshifter lowered her sword. "Let me ask you something. Why don't you ask Catra herself why she's upset?"

"Haven't we just discussed this?"

"Fine. Do you think it could have something to do with her past? Something about what the lady of the shadows or Hordak might have said to her? A memory of her past life? Maybe even someone in the Rebellion?"

"She never really did get that much affection when we were younger."

"She always had you to insure her, to calm her. She must have thought you could've been her soulmate."

"Soulmate?"

"Goodness, they really haven't taught you poor dears a thing, huh?" Double Trouble giggled. "You know, the One? The one you're meant to be with? The one that everyone is just dying for you two to be together forever?"
