A/N: another modern au. i get that it's a bit too early for a christmas one shot but this was a request from WolfieGalz and christmas is almost here so this could be like a pretty good warmup until the holiday one shot ideas come. also, i think i'm going to close requests for a while you get a few ideas of mine in the book. if anyone has requests, there's my request book and you can just comment there.

Silver snowflakes floated down all over the town of Etheria. Carolers roamed through the city in the nippy weather with warm smiles and their best performances of classic Christmas songs. Children threw snowballs at each other. Giant work buildings were covered with the most beaming, vivid lights anyone has seen. Houses in their best trimmings yet. A giant tree with lights, golden and red garlands were snaked around it, ornaments shined in the moonlight of this winter's day and what happened to also be, Christmas Eve.

"I still can't believe it's almost Christmas." Glimmer squealed.

"And just in six hours!" Spinnerella exclaimed.

"How does anyone get some sleep over all the ruckus about this. It's a holiday. We have it every year." Adora kicked her arm playfully as she laid besides her.

"But it's the holiday of all holidays."

"Eh, I'm more of a Halloween gal myself." Mermista admitted. Adora raised her glass in agreement.

"Fourth of July is the best in my opinion." Sea Hawk said, pouring himself a drink.

"Why doesn't bring up Easter?" Perfuma asked, Entrapta holding her shoulder.

"Thanksgiving is my other favorite hands down." Netossa said.

"Again, we have those every year." Catra said

"But you never know when it can be your last." Adora held her girlfriend's hand.

"I know but I'm just saying. I mean, Bow is up there on the chimney looking for Santa Claus."

"Wasn't it Saint Nicholas?" Netossa asked.

"Kris Kringle, darling." Spinnerella argued kindly.

"Reindeer dude." Mermista sat upside down with Sea Hawk on her lap.

"Father Christmas." Entrapta said.

"Peiznickel." Perfuma said, sipping her eggnog.

"Nobody uses that, 'fuma." Glimmer said.

"Say where's Scorpia? I actually miss the knucklehead." Catra asked Entrapta.

"She's out with Lonnie." Entrapta said, fixing a garland on the Christmas tree.

"What about Frosta?" Adora asked.

"She's out of town with her family." Perfuma said.

"Good for her, 'cause she does not want to be when I'm drunk." Mermista laughed and downed a glass of red wine that Sea Hawk has brought for them.
