CHAPTER 22

I woke up in a different room. Dahan-dahan akong bumangon. I travelled my gaze inside while gently massaging my temple. My forehead creased when I realized that the room was too manly, from the color of the curtains, the king-sized bed and how the room was decorated..

Napakalawak ng kwartong ito na tila ba hari ang nagmamay-ari. Maraming mga mamahaling kagamitan ang makikita at kulang na lang manampal ng karangyaan.

I'd been with luxurios places, but this room emitted something more, something I could not explain. It didn't only scream elegance and gradeur, it made me feel different. Part of me felt longing?

Damn! Why would I even felt that?

Nasaan ako?

My eyes widened in disbelief when I met his gaze. Napalunok ako nang makita ang isang Davil Launder na kagagaling lang sa pagligo. Basa pa kasi ang buhok niya. He looked fresh, neat and damn—hot! This devil really had everything that any man would dream of! He was devlishly handsome! His manly scent suddenly invaded my nostril when he sat beside me. I rolled my eyes and started blaming my teenage hormones for thinking of those things!

He gave me a side way glance before he angled his body towards mine. He looked at me mockingly. I raised my eyebrow. Nagkatinginan kami at kinain ng katahimikan. I gave him a taunting look and he sneered.

"You woke up inside my room and you still have the audacity to act arrogant."

"What do you want me to do, then? Greet you good morning?"

Umigting ang kanyang panga. Hindi siya sumagot ngunit nanatili ang matalim niyang tingin sa akin. Napakunot ang noo ko.

"Problema mo?"

He suddenly smirked. His serious expression was replaced by a playful one as he looked at me with malice.

"Kiss me."

I automatically raised my middle finger in the air.

"Fuck you!"

"You ask me what I want you to do since I let you sleep in my room, right? I'm just giving my answer."

"Bakit ako nandito?" pag-iiba ko sa usapan.

The amusement on his face made me annoy. Inismiran ko siya at napayuko na lang. Muli kong inalala ang mga nangyari bago ako napunta rito. I bit my lips while I let my mind wandered. Naramdaman ko ang pag-alis niya sa aking tabi pero hindi ko na pinagtuonan ng pansin. I was too engrossed with my own thoughts that I didn't really give a fuck what he was doing.

Napakunot ang noo ko nang unti-unting bumalik sa aking isipan ang mga eksena sa headquarter ng Fortress. Muli akong nag-angat ng tingin. Davil's piercing gaze remained on my face. He was leaning on the wall while his arms folded across his chiseled chest. Nanatili ang mapang-uyam niyang tingin sa akin.

"Ba't kayo nangialam sa gulo ng dalawang frats?"

"I'm just bored."

"Seriously?"

He sexily bit his lower lip as if suppressing something. Nakipagsukatan ako ng tingin sa kaniya. Bored, really? The heck!

"What do you want to hear, then, hmm?"

Naalarma ako nang muli siyang naglakad papalapit sa kamang kinauupuan ko. I hated to admit it but I became tensed the moment I looked at his eyes. He walked confidenly while his stare lingered on my face.

"What do you want to hear, Sapphire?"

Nanlaki ang aking mga mata nang umupo siya paharap sa aking direksiyon. I clenched my fist and let my back rest on the headboard.
