KING OF TORMENTS [Completed]

CHAPTER 32

Looking outside, where everything almost blurred due to Davil's suicidal driving, questions started to poured in my mind. The untame waves of confusion made me dizzy. No matter how I tried to fight the current of my personal dilemma, I always end up going with its flow.

The silence inside made my situation worse, and the man I was with made it worst. Pagkatapos niya akong kaladkarin na lang basta-basta ay naging tahimik na si Davil. He just simply dragged me away and brought me in his car without any words. Ang bilis ng pangyayari, na ang tangi na lang malinaw sa akin ay ang mga mata ni Blaze na puno ng mga tanong at luha habang kinakaladkad ako ni Davil palabas.

I couldn't find any logical reason why Davil appeared out of the blue, and why he was giving me the silent treatment. I have all the right to punch him right now for meddling with my business, but look at this arrogant shit... siya pa ang may kasalanan pero kung umasta akala mo ako ang may ginawang mali.

Sobrang diin nang pagkakahawak niya sa steering wheel at kaunti na lang ay baka paliparin na niya ang sasakyan.

"If you're planning to die, stop this car and let me go."

His eyes remained on the road. Wala itong naging reaksiyon na akala mo walang narinig. Seriously? Mag-iisang oras ng ganito ang lalaking ito.

I gritted my teeth. Bahagya akong napapikit para pakalmahin ang sarili ko. An argument with Davil right now is a huge help for my mind. I need a divertion! Damn!

"I didn't know that the King of Chaos would stoop this low, stalking me." I laughed sarcastically but to my dismay, he didn't even respond.

I closed my eyes again but this time, I wanted to sleep. Para akong baliw na nakikipag-usap sa lalaking wala man lang reaksiyon. My wish was granted, when I felt my lids getting heavy and any moment I would give in to this sweet slumber. As I succumbed to it, I heard muzzy words as I felt a gentle stroke in my cheek. I didn't know if it was real or just a dream.

"You just hurt me, brat. Again."

I didn't how long I sleep. Nang magising ako ay kaagad kong napansing wala na si Davil sa loob ng sasakyan. I looked outside and spotted him sitting near a cliff. Hindi ko alam kung ano'ng ginagawa niya doon. Maybe he was planning to jump? Good for him.

Hindi ko alam kung nasaan na kami. I was sure we were far from the city. I usually see trees around. Humikab akong lumabas at naglakad papalapit kay Davil. Maybe he was hesitant to jump so I would volunteer to push him.

Saglit kong nakalimutan ang aking plano nang makitang lumingon ito sa direksiyon ko.

"Stay in the car."

"What are we doing here?"

Tumayo siya at sinalubong ako.

Kalmado na ito ngayon at mukhang naayos na ang turnilyo sa utak niya.

"Let's go," he simply said and walked towards the car.

Sa halip na sundan ito ay naglakad ako papunta sa dati niyang pwesto. Agad akong napangiti nang salubungin ako ng preskong hangin. I stood in the edge of the cliff and looked down. The strong current of the water below made me slightly nervous, contradictory to the calm sky above.

Strong hands pulled me away from the edge, making me crashed in his chest.

"Let's go."

Umirap ako.

"Nah."

Umupo muna ako bago siya nilingon. I smirked just to annoy him.

"Sapphire, stop being stubborn." He sat beside me. While I'm busy admiring the beauty of nature, I'm pretty sure he's busy giving me his piercing stare.
