da in manu mea cubantem piis foveamus amplexibus et osculis.

my dear, i ask to you the question of questions: why are you afraid of oblivion?
you fear death because you have not met Her, yet some run into Her arms though they have had little time in comparison to what they had been blessed with... they run to the unknown rather than face the life that they were given. time is erased from the palms of their hands, fingerprints removed from the tabletops of places they had yet to go. i don't blame them. the world is full of peril, and you must be brave to endure it. the weak admit defeat, and that may not always be bad. they will lay down with Her, and be at peace. they can walk along the riverbed, and let the sea guide them back to their origins.
you see, little fighter, i would give you my life, if i could. i am more of a coward than you could ever be. you fear death because you do not know Her. you fear death because you cling to life and all of its opprotunity. i fear death because i crave the fantasies of which i have created.
i want to float along with the wind and let it take me apart, and turn my blood into honey and let the olive oil seep from my skin and sink into the soil. release my memories into the sky, to join the stars in their endless journey. in my mind, She is all i long for. it has been so, for years which have passed. i have fallen deeply in love with a version of Her, with roses and lillies in her hair, with kindness in her eyes and sun-kissed cheeks. a soul of nectar, heavy and too sweet for an undeserving human tongue... or perhaps no soul at all, withered away by the absence of something that is too strange and whimsical to name. She is so tired. Gently and sweetly taking me away from this world which i do not deserve.
I dont want to be let down by what i could only hope is true.
