i am not the girl that they all warn you about.

i will be the one to make sure you get home safe.

i will be an A+ student,
i will be in clubs in activities, so

i will be busy and
i will have lots to do.

i will be caring and kind and trustworthy,
i will be your girlfriend and your best friend.

i will not make you choose me or your family,
i will not make you choose me or your job.

i will never kiss your best friend
i will never do hard drugs or tell you that you should,

i will not break your heart
i will steal your hoodies, though.

i will never make you feel unwanted or unimportant
i will not make you do something against your will.

i will advise you and guide you in any way i can,
i will respect the way you choose to spend your time.

i will send you sweet messages and
i will encourage you to be your very best.

i will never take you for granted
i will help you push past your limits.

i will accept your flaws and love you because of them
i will never let you go to bed upset.

i will pamper you and whisper sweet truths to you,
i will inspire you and take care of you.

i will give you determination,
i will motivate you and get you pumped up.

i will do anything and everything to make you happy.
i will not intentionally hurt you. ever.

but most importantly,
i will stand by your side until you tell me to do otherwise. and even then,

i will still love you.

because i am not the girl they all warned you about,
