    we walked into the vet's office with a best friend,
    a family member
    
                          
    we walked out with tears on our cheeks and an angel on our shoulders. 
    
                          
    i have watched death gently take a soul, 
    i saw the ocean in his eyes disappear. 
    
                          
    i heard his whisper from the little clinic room, and i gently said
    
                          
    "just take him easy, okay?"
    
                          
    just take him easy.

    rip Tom. you have been there for me since I was born, and i have loved you and love you still for every second of it. today was the hardest thing i ever have done. but you are safe now. i love you, and you were one of the universe's greatest gifts to me.
