i wake up.
i walk upstairs to find my mom, waiting for me.
"i have a surprise for you," she says. "go get dressed up, and do your makeup too, if you want. you will want to look nice, where we are going."

i do as she says.

i select my favorite ripped jeans along with my jurassic park shirt and a flannel, with my black and white vans. i wear my mushroom socks.
a light pink eyeshadow with pale pinkish clear lip gloss, a simple yet stunning look.

mom says i look beautiful.

we get in the car with my mom and dad.
i ask where we are going.

no one answers.

we stop in front of Sunset Park.
i look around.

nothing except the playground.

i am confused.

suddenly, a car that looks a little familiar rolls up on the curb across the field.

i feel my heart stop and the air from my lungs is stolen immediately.

you.

you step out of the car and look around, until you see me.

you begin to run.

i laugh like a maniac and feel my face heat up.

i see your parents watch from right next to the car.

i run.

as fast as i ever have before in my life.

we collide and the universe implodes.

you hold me for what feels like hours.

just standing in the middle of the field. all that matters is that i am touching you and i smell you and i hear you and see you and we are here.

you touch my face.

you kiss me.
for a long time.

i hug you.

i just keep saying your name over and over, through sobs.

"i thought i might never see you again," i whisper.

you look into my eyes.

you open your mouth to speak for the first time.

i snap out of my daydream.
im alone in my room.
its 10:18 pm.
