why does everyone want me to start dating again?
mom and dad have recommended staying single awhile,
but ask frequently about two guys,
one a new friend,
the other a rather old friend who lives in a different country.
but neighbors,
friends,
aunts and uncles,
grandparents,
cousins,
even my brother and sister
keep asking me if i have a crush on anyone.
uh, yeah actually.
i do have a crush.
but you see,
im not able to see him or speak with him for awhile.
so ill just hope that i dont get to the point where im
unplugging my veins and arteries from my heart
like electrical sockets,
so that i stop feeling at all,
the friend from another country
has declared his love for me
4 times
since you left.
i wish i could see myself the way
everyone seems to see me:
a walking daydream
who can get any guy she wants,
when she wants.
thats not who i wanna be though.
i just wanna be yours.
