Holding Kara

I finished feeding and burping Kara ten minutes after having her. Henry was just looking at the two of us like he couldn't belive that his daughter was here in this world finally.

I smiled as I watched him softly brush his finger along her cheek and she smiled.

"are you smiling casue daddy touched you huh?" I asked as I looked at Kara who was still smiling.

"Well Daddy would you like to hold her?" I asked and he looked at me with a look beween unsure and afraid.

"I don't wanna drop her" he tells me. I love this man so much.

"You will not drop her, you have held babies when your fans would hand them over to get you to take pictures with them" I stated.

"I know but they wasn't freshly born and mine" he said I chuckled a little at the whole freshly born comment.

"Do you want to have the first skin to skin contact with Kara?" I asked "if not then that is fine, I wont harp or bother you anymore about holding her" I added.

He looked at me before I took off his shirt, still having fear in his eyes.

"Come on superdayy you can do it, I believe in you and I know the minute you hold her your fear will disspaear and protection will take its place" I tell him.

He takes a deep breath and realses it slowly before coming over to me and nodded his head.

I genlty started the hand Kara over and with out behind told he knew how to place his hands. I laid her little body in one hand and softly placed her head in his other. He looked at her in such awe I couldn't take it. I grabbed my phone and recorded them togther.

"Wow, I can't believe that you are really here. that after all these months of you growing in mommy and me talking to you in her belly that you are here in my arms" he tells her as he holds her close to his chest.

I smiled and wiped the tears from my eyes as I watched the two interact. I could see that she was smiling before she slowly started to open her little eyes.

"Oh My God" he said looking at her and teared up.

I smiled as he walked over and sat beside me on the bed. I stopped recording and grabbed a tissue and wiped his eyes for him as Kara continued to look up at him with the same eye color.

"So that would be three things she shares with you" I tell him. He looks at me smiling then looks back at Kara.

"Best birthday gift I will ever get" he states which makes me chuckle as I watch him softly lay her on his chest. I took so many pictures and videos of the two it was perfect. I got up sso he could lay down and Kara just closed her eyes smiled and went to sleep while Henry held her close. I had recorded the whole thing.

"See I told you" was all I said before I went into the bathroom to clean up a bit since the doctor said that the both of us was health,no issues, or reasons to stay over night.

After I was done I walked out and seen Henry was asleep. I smiled and took a picture before I walked over and softly kissed Kara's head then kissed Henry's forehead as I walked around and gather up all of our things.
