Carefree

Henry's pov

I sat there and watched as my love and Kal rann around the yard in what looked like a game of chase. It is enduring to watch the two of them. My darling is so joyous and carefree which is what drew me to her.

She is also shy but once she saw Kal she took to him and he helped her break out of her shell and that is what brought out the carefree part of her out. Yes, I love that she was shy when we first met and would hardly talk which was something I am not fully used to. Even though I should be, but I am not.

I laughed as she dodged Kal who ran for her and skidded to a stop before turning and trailing after her again this time he got her and knocked her do before using his bear looking body to pin her down.

"Oh ok you won, you got me," she tells him as she ruffles his fur and while he was panting.

"Ok you furry bear up .. up," she tells him and he moves off her and she sits up.

"Thank you," she tells him and he nods his head.

"So did the two of you get your work out?" I asked as I got up and went over and offered my hand to her and helped her up right into my arms which made her blush a bit. I smiled and ruffled Kal's fur.

"Yea, I do believe we have," she tells me as she leans into me and I wrap my arm around her and hold her too me.

We went out for a night run and she was giggling and having run while I did my run.

"Wanna race?" she asked as she looked over at me

"Where ?" I asked

"Well we can go to the park and race or we can go home and run in the back yard" she replied

"Let's do it at home so there are better lighting and less chance of being in trouble," I tell her

" It's always fun to risk being caught," she remarked and I looked at her and smirked before I nodded in agreement.

"We can wait," she said then joins me at my pace in jogging.

Once we were home Kal went to his bowls while I followed my darling to the back yard and I flicked on the fairy lights that gave us enough light to see where was going and what we were doing.

"Ready?" she asked

I looked at her and nodded

"want to make this more interesting?" she asked

I looked at her in question

" If I beat you, we share ice cream and watch romcom" she stated.

"and if I win?" I asked

"What do you want?" she asked

I thought about it for a bit.

"You and I upstairs naked," I said

She blushed and I never finished.

"I didn't finish," I tell her

" Sorry," she said

I chuckled and shook my head while smiling.

"Anyways as I was saying. you and I upstairs naked taking a nice shower, then make love slowly" I finally tell her.

"Deal," she said after I told my part of the deal.

"So how many times are we going to do this?" I asked

she thought about it for a few minutes.

"Twice. unless we tie."

"alright may the best one win," I tell her

"from this tree to where Kal is laying is how far we are running,"  She said as she pointed to Kal who just joined us.

I watched as she stretched out then got ready.

"Three.....two..." I didn't finish counting off I just took off

"Hey you cheated" she called after me before she ran and joined me then winked at me and took off stopping where Kal laid and waited for me.

"Again?"

she nodded.

She counted down with her hand then ran and I did like she had and ran up to her and winked and went to pull ahead but When I looked to see where she was I didn't find her.

I heard giggling and looked at the finish line and she waved then blew me a kiss.

I picked her up and she giggled more.

"you tried to cheat but I still beat you," she said while wrapping her arms around my neck then bend down and kissed me.

"I let you win," I tell her

"Yeah right sure," she said

"Come on bear," I said.

I carried her inside and sat her on the counter before grabbing the container of ice cream and two spoons before I walked over and tossed her over my shoulder hearing her laugh as I carried her to the living room sat the ice cream down along with the spoons then carefully sat her down before I sat down and grabbed the remote and let her pick the romcom while she grabbed the ice cream and spoons.
