I was back in the Void, drifting through the pitch black of nothingness. But this time, it felt different to me for some reason. I was somehow able to stand up and look around. Underneath me was a pool of water that was now shallow to the point that it seems like I'm standing on the surface.

Although I saw nothing for miles, I felt like there was something out there, waiting for me to find it. I turned a full circle, and I saw it; the person chiseling at a block of stone. I didn't want to say anything, thinking that it might send me away like it did last time, but instead, I approached them. When I got close, they stopped chiseling and put down their hammer.

"It's about time you finally came to see me," a man's voice echoed through the emptiness. The man turned around and looked at me with a warm smile. He was an elderly man with a big beard covering his mouth. When he spoke, I only saw his top lip move up and down. "It's nice to finally meet one of my descendants."

I opened my mouth, about to say something, but I stopped out of fear that if I did, I would be forced to leave again. It seemed that the old man caught on.

"You won't leave boy, yet. You can speak to me." the old man chuckled.

"Who are you?" I immediately asked him.

"Hmm, I guess you can say that I'm your grandfather, though a very-many-generations-old-grandfather." He replied. "Call me Oros."

"I'm James."

"I already know your name boy, and your sisters' too."

When he mentioned her, I suddenly remembered how I got here. The explosion draining me, Julia mentioning I had white hair and wrinkled skin, and then I passed out. "Julia..."

"I'm amazed actually, after so many centuries, somewhere down the line, one of her descendants found mine and they had a child. And since then, our descendants have linked to us both. But it's a shame that Julia will see her one day, she wasn't fond of people." Grandpa Oros looked down at his hammer and grabbed it.

"Who is she gonna see?"

"Your very-many-generations-old-grandma, and like I said, she isn't a people person. Well, you've been here long enough James, it's time for you go back." Grandpa Oros grabbed his chisel and hammered it in the pitch black of nothingness, cracking it, and creating a door of light. "And don't you worry, I'll be watching over you, now get going, I need to finish this sculpture."

"Thanks, grandpa," I told him as he turned back to his stone and continued his work. I walked through the door, and I opened my eyes. It was nighttime, and I was back in the infirmary with a lot of monitors around my bed. I sat up noticing that Uriela and Jackal were lying beside my bed, sleeping. They must've heard about what happened to me, but I didn't see Julia anywhere. Whatever grandpa told me about grandma has to do with Julia, so I needed to find her as soon as possible.

Ever so slowly, I got out of bed and tiptoed passed Uriela, and just as I was getting past Jackal, he grabbed my arm, scaring me half to death. "And where do you think you're going, James?" Jackal stared at me with one of his eyes open.

"Don't scare me like that, idiot!" I whispered, swiping my hand away out of fright. "I'm going to my sister. Where is she, Jackal?"

"Head Mistress has her locked up in your guy's room. After what happened with you two, she's hasn't been herself. It's taking Head Mistress a lot power to keep her locked in. Just what kind of family did you guys come from?"

"I don't know, but I need to go see her." I walked forward, but I got weak in my knees and fell down. "What the heck, I was fine a second ago and suddenly I feel weak again."

"You're still regaining your strength James, wait here." Jackal got up, left the room, and came back with a wheelchair. He helped me up into the wheelchair and took me to my dorm, and I could feel my strength coming back to me, but I was still too weak to walk. Just what did Julia do to me?

"So, James, is it true that Julia destroyed the entire arena?" Jackal asked.

"Master Ox told her to think of the most destructive attack that she could do. If you've seen her before, you'd know that she isn't the destructive type and never has been. But that explosion, that huge explosion, I'll never forget it. It felt like nothing I've ever blocked before." I shuddered at the memory as I saw it playback in my head.

"From what I was told, the citizens in the city below could feel the shockwave of the explosion. That means that whatever your sister cast that day was a very powerful spell. It's terrifying, honestly; magic that you two possess hasn't been seen since the war against the Archangels ten thousand years ago."

Ever since the war against the Archangels, huh? Grandpa Oros did say he was very old, so maybe he was there when our ancestors fought them.

"Then you need to get me to my sister Jackal, hurry!"

"Alright." He nodded and sped up. A couple of minutes later, we got closer to my room, and there was a massive crowd of students and teachers through the halls. It was getting hard getting through the crowd. I had enough strength to move, so I got up and shoved my way through them to get to my room. And as I got closer, I could hear screaming, Julia screaming, and stuff breaking inside our room.

Don't worry Julia, I'm coming!

I was finally able to break the crowd and saw Head Mistress struggling to hold down the door with a barrier.

"Head Mistress!" I ran over and called out.

"James?! Oh, thank the Five you're finally awake! Your sister has been on a rampage for three days, and I've been holding her here, but I can't any longer. Do you have any idea what's wrong with her?"

I thought for a moment and thought back to what happened to me in the Void. Grandpa Oros mentioned our grandma and that she wasn't exactly a people person, that's what must be happening; Julia's finally meeting our grandma. "I might know Head Mistress, but I'll need you to come in with me. I still don't have all of my strength back," I told her, and she nodded.

I stepped over to the door and opened it. Everything inside was completely destroyed, to the point where the room was unrecognizable. The sound of crying bounced around the room, but it was coming from Julia's side. Stepping inside, the air felt still and cold, and it was hard to walk on the broken floor. Thankfully, Head Mistress lifted and floated us over to Julia's side of the room, and there the air was much colder; I could see my breath. The crying was louder as I got closer. I could see Julia huddle in the corner. I told Head Mistress to put us down and wait while I went over to her. She put us back on somewhat solid ground and waited while I went forward.

"Julia," I quietly called out to her. "Julia it's me, your brother, James."

"James," Julia looked over at me to show her glossy white eyes, but that wasn't the weirdest part about it. She wasn't looking straight at me, rather, it looked like she was searching for my voice. "It's grandma, James, I'm talking to her, and she's not happy. Help me."

"I will." I picked up Julia and took her to the center of the room. I stepped back and slammed my hands down and created two hands that gently held her still. "Grandma, if you can hear me, let my sister go! What did she do to deserve this!?"

She's not worthy of inheriting my powers. She's too frail and weak to use my magic. An elderly woman's voice spoke in my head, pounding it with every word.

"She's not weak grandma! Let her prove herself, give her a chance."

I will not give this girl a chance! She proved herself when she tried to use one of my spells and look what happened. She made you age, but they somehow were able to change you back, but your white hair stayed. After all that, you think I'll let this weak girl prove herself, again? Ha, foolish boy!

"You don't talk about my sister like that...I know you've watched over us and you've seen it yourself that she's not weak! I would think the family would be on my side when it came to this, but it looks like you're just like everyone else." I glared up at Julia, and I could see through her eyes that grandma was glaring back at me.

You dare talk like that to your grandmother, child?!
