The soldiers evacuated everyone in the city of Marque. They were confused and scared as to why they had to. "What's going on?

"Did you feel those tremors earlier? They were coming from Franco's residence," a noble said, and everyone began to talk amongst themselves. All of this chatter wasn't helping with King Alistaire's worries about his best friend.

Cher and Stephen are taking an awfully long time fighting that Archangel. I pray that they didn't die fighting because they're our only hope.

One of the soldiers that were standing by the entrance to the town spotted something and waved over for the Colonel and General. "It's Cher and Stephen; they're coming!"

Colonel Roy, General Meredith, and King Alistaire ran over to the entrance of the town to see the beaten and bruised Cher and Stephen fly over and land in front of them. The three couldn't believe that they're best soldiers are badly beaten. "What happened to you two?" Colonel Roy came over and threw Stephen's arm over his shoulder.

"We beat the target, sir, but then it got complicated," Stephen told him, which got them confused.

"Complicated how?" The king asked.

"It's better if we show you, your Grace." Cher turned around and walked back into town. Colonel Roy ordered the soldiers to tend to Stephen's wound while they went back to Franco's mansion.

When they got back, James, Julia, and Father Alric were long gone, and for some reason, Cher felt relieved about it, but she couldn't allow herself to show that. She led the three inside and was immediately pushed aside by the king as he ran over to the statue of Franco.

"Frankie!" King Alistaire stopped in front of Franco, shaking and absolutely distraught. Placing his hands on Franco's face, he fell on him and cried. Colonel Roy and General Meredith just watched as their king fell apart right in front of their eyes. After a couple more moments of tears, King Alistaire's sadness turned to anger as he turned back around to see Cher. "What happened here?"

"When we entered the building, Franco seemed to have already been in this state, so something happened before we got here. As to who is responsible, I believe we know who the culprit is, James Kidd."

"James Kidd? The boy from Lucks Heart Magus Exam?" Colonel Roy inquired.

"Yes, I heard that Franco had put out a bounty on him and his sister, Julia. So, James must've come here to put an end to that. He destroyed Franco's house, turned him into a statue, and when he heard us coming, turned into a stone Archangel to attack us. By the end of the battle, he revealed himself in a weakened state, and we would've gotten him, but then his sister came in and got in the way."

"So, we know that those two are the children of Kaisa the Merciless and Franco Sario. We also know that she was here because of the interrogations that Franco sent us that held all the sensitive information that she spilled in this mansion." The general added in.

"So when they heard that their mother was captured, they came here to wreak havoc and did that to Franco. But wait," Colonel walked over to the statue and inspected it. Then he slowly reeled back when he realized something. "This is Corite. No mage in existence has been able to control Corite other than..."

"Oros the Wall Builder Constructor. James is a Constructor."

"And so is his sister. She used skeleton arms to defend her and her brother from us. Only Irene, the Necromancer, was capable of casting such spells."

"Enough!" King Alistaire finally spoke out with a sharp tone in his voice, freezing everyone solid. Even General Meredith was a little surprised. "I don't care who they are or what they are. I. Want. Them. Dead!"

"Wait, but your Grace, those two are Constructors, the saviors that brought us from the brink of extinction ten thousand years ago. They would have their reasons for doing this other than revenge." Colonel Roy tried to plead, but the king glared at him.

"They murdered my best friend. They aren't saviors; they're killers! General Meredith spread the word. As of today, every single member of the Kidd Clan is hereby guilty of the murder of a noble and treason; thus, their punishment is death. Put up the highest bounty on each of their heads, and they must be brought to me dead or alive, I don't care! Go!"

"Right away, your Majesty." General Meredith bowed and began to walk out of the building. When she was far enough away from everyone, she couldn't help but laugh maniacally.

This is absolutely perfect! Those two just dug themselves a hole that will be impossible for them to get out of. All of Seraphim, including us, will be after them now, and it'll be a total bloodbath, just what I want. Chaos, pure utter chaos! And once they're out of the way and we find the other two Constructors, my plan can commence.
