Jeongsoo Choi was born on the 1st of March, 1997. He was 17 when he died.
Jeongsoo partake in taekwondo tournaments when he was younger. He had a habit of apologizing to his opponents if he beat them. Jeongsoo was described as kind and compassionate. He also cared for his mother, hugging her after a day at work and calling her to ask if she needs an umbrella if it was raining. He cooked a lot. He knew how to cook the best kimchi and seaweed soup. He aspired to have a career in the theater field.
Jeongsoo called his mother during the sinking. ''What would you do without me?'' followed by ''The ferry's going crazy, there's water coming in''
His body was recovered and returned to his family. He rests at Pyeongtaek Lakeside Memorial Park.
