Wooyoung Kang (Class 2)

Wooyoung Kang was born on the 11th of March, 1997. She was 17 when she died.

Wooyoung was the youngest child, living with her older siblings, mother, father and grandmother. She often watched soccer games with her dad, and imitated his fashion style. Wooyoung spent her weekends volunteering at retirement homes or cleaning up the streets. She was very affectionate, thoughtful and sweet to others. Before the field trip, her classmates held her a surprise birthday party, where they went to a singer Tahyun's concert. Her best friends were Chaewon Gil and Jeongeun Park from the same class, she was also close with her other classmates. She was the closest to Kim Kisoo from class 7, whom she had a sibling-like relationship to, but many knew it was something more than just a friendship. Wooyoung dreamed of becoming a soldier, because she was good at running, and in P.E in general.

Her body was recovered and returned to her family. She now rests at Ansan Sky Memorial Park.
