Janghwan Lee was born on the 25th of August, 1997. He was 16 when he died.
Janghwan lived with his parents and one younger brother. He cared for his mother, hugging her and massaging her if her muscles ached. His family had moved to a new house on March, and Janghwan had gotten his own room. He was excited and he had a new hangout for his friend Geonkye Lee, whom he had known since childhood. They were both excited for the trip, and were planning to have a party on the deck of the ferry. Janghwan's dream was to become a fashion designer.
Days after the sinking, Janghwan had appeared in his mother's dream. She doesn't remember what happened, but she was looking at her son, Janghwan. He didn't say anything, just looked at her in the eyes.
His body was recovered and returned to his family. He now rests at Ansan Sky Memorial Park
